“Is that... really you?” Ruri asked through her gritted teeth, showing her rage towards Bella, who continued to lower her head as she stepped away.

Sashal muttered. “Bels, tell me that’s not true.”

Jermaine enjoyed the scene happening in front of him. His eyes shifted quickly from one side to another, following the person saying something. He smirked at the pathetic sight, where Sashal’s face seemed to darken.

“She asked you, Bella. Why won’t you answer her?!” Ruri shouted and then ran charging at Bella.

“Ruri, no!”

But Ruri’s movements were stopped by Jermaine, who came, shielding Bella with his hands gripping Ruri’s neck. Ruri’s body was lifted for a few seconds before he flung it so hard and far that she hit Sashal’s work desk.

“No, Ruri!” Sashal immediately approached Ruri, who was slumped weakly on the floor. Her neck looked red.

Sashal glares at Jermaine. “Don’t you dare to hurt her.”

“Well, I had no choice but to do it to protect my eyewitnesses. Isn’t that right, Queen?”
