Chapter 4

CHAPTER FOUR

I ran inside immediately, I couldn't wait to see the rest.

"Aaaallllleeeeennnnn." I shouted using my eyes to search for him as I wondered through the house.

"Allen, there is something in the woods." I screamed.

"Maybe he is in the bathroom, or maybe he is in the changing room, because I need to go home and I'm scared." I said to myself.

After what seemed like an hour, I saw Allen come out of his room, he was wearing a robe. It had 2 front pockets, an adjustable sleeve with fold able cuffs. He looked so hot in that.

When he saw me, he was surprised, he walked closer and I stood up immediately, I was seated on his couch.

"What are you still doing here?" He questioned with confusion in his eyes.

"I was looking for you, I've been calling out to you but you didn't give me an ounce of response."

"I saw something that terrified me." I concluded.

"Okayyy, what did you see?"

"Okay, I'm going to explain it to you, well I didn't exactly see it but I can still explain it," I paused.

"Okay, I'm listening."

"As I was standing at your balcony trying to enjoy the scenery, I saw movement in the trees. At first, I thought it was just the wind, but then I saw something that made my heart skip a beat." I was panting while I was speaking.

"Okay what did you see? And calm down I'm here." He assured me.

"Ummm, I can't really say I saw something clearly but I ran inside before I could get a glimpse of all I saw, but it was like the shadow of a wild animal." I blurted.

"Okay, calm down, there are no animals here, maybe it's just your intuition or illusions or your imagination or even your thoughts, you know you think out loud, maybe you imagined out loud." He said while soothing my back.

"I'm sure of what I saw." I said with certainty.

"Okay, no problem but animals are in the zoo, not at my house or near my house, I'll take you home it's late now." He said as he went to his bedroom and had a change of clothes.

I almost drolled at the sight of him, who dresses up at night for God's sake?.

He drove me home and I had a good night rest without dreaming about some weird thing i saw the night before.

The blaring sound of the alarm brought me back to reality, I jumped off my small bed , headed for the bathroom but to my surprise, my younger brother was already in there and that meant I was going to work a late.

We are a family of three, me, my dad and my younger brother. My mother died last year and since then business hasn't been going so well. He fully funded my mother's burial with his last penny, My mother's people didn't want to associate with her because she was in a marriage that they didn't approve of.

Due to the fact that my dad was broke at that time,he borrowed some money from his brothers to increase the quantity of goods left in the coffee shop.

My younger brother Tom had just finished high school, so he was working as a waiter in the coffee shop to support the family. I promised him I was going to pay for him to go to college. One of his extremely good trait is that he usually takes his time whenever he does something but right now that was bad for me.

"Tom, can you please let me take my bath first , then you can continue later," I screamed right in front of the bathroom.

"No sis, I got here first so I'm doing my stuff first, try and wake up earlier next time sis," he screamed also.

I went straight into the kitchen and made some toast and milk for everyone. I brushed my teeth, ate and was waiting for him to get out of the bathroom. If only we each had a bathroom but our financial capacity forbids it or we gon' be broke as hell.

Instead of standing and waiting for Tom who had decided to grow clouds in my eyes, I went into my room (at least we each had our own rooms) to fish out what I would wear to work.

Unknown to me, the idiot was already out and he didn't say a word. I found out immediately I left my room.

"I will not forgive you Tom, I am so getting back at you for this." I rushed into the bathroom immediately.

"You can't get back at me, I'm not getting any query from my boss,you better be fast or you gon' join me in this coffee shop." I could hear his evil laughter. Nice one.

I got out as quick as possible, got dressed up and took the subway.

As soon as I got to the office, I knew I was doomed, I saw his car. My hands were on my mouth, i had to close them to save it from flies.

"I'm late." I said to myself as I took to my heels.

On my way to my desk, Clara gestured to me that he was already in. I nodded my head in confirmation.

"What Happened?" She whispered.

"Later, later," I said as I tiptoed to my desk.

I dropped my bag immediately, ran off to get his coffee, on my way back I paused a little to catch my breath before knocking on his door, then I heard some conversations, normally I would go back and wait or just knock before entering but I heard something that got my attention.

"Okay, so what's it going to be? Now that she's gone, you need a Luna, An alpha can't be left alone,"

"I Know and that's why I'm trying my best to find that person, it's not been easy on me, after Fiona died, I couldn't bring myself to find another mate, and when I finally do, it's Forbidden, she's the only one I can connect with, I can even read her mind."

"But you know no Alpha can be mated to a

Human, it's against the customs and traditions."

"So who's she?"

"My secretary."

"What?" I blurted.
