Chapter 30

Theodore

He felt guilty as he reached home without Kim. But he didn’t want to stay there anymore. He poured himself a large whiskey and retired to the study. The day was beautiful, and yet there was a cloud of gloom over his head. His mind wasn’t working and he wanted to close his eyes and lie down with his head in Natalie’s lap.

That’s the name. Natalie. She is the reason why his life was turning upside down, and after a long while, Theo was thinking that he doesn’t care. He didn’t. These days, he had thrown all caution and care to the wind and wanted to do what his heart told him, and that was to grab Natalie and kiss the hell out of her, squeeze her in his arms, press his head against her bosom, and feel the serenity.

His loneliness was disturbed by Kim.

Her heels clicked on the hardwood floor. She was clapping. Theodore swirled his chair to face her.

“Very well, you made quite a fool of me in front of everyone, Theodore Gilbert. You left me alone.”

She pressed her palms hard
