Malakai’s patrol consisted of twenty-nine elite soldiers in training, destined to serve as his personal guard when he ascends the throne. However, one crucial member was missing—an esteemed soldier vital to the entire Royal Kingdom’s guard, now loyally serving as one of Amani’s Betas. Malakai arrived with fifteen members of his patrol, while Amani’s manor featured twenty-three guest rooms and nineteen washrooms.

With Archer, Lily, Darius and his family now residing in the manor, there was still ample room to accommodate the new guests. Amani assigned Maggie a room next to hers, while Malakai was given a room at the far end of the hall. Unbeknownst to Amani, Malakai orchestrated a swap with one of his patrol members so he could be closer to her.

Leanna and Lily prepared a generous lunch for everyone, while Amani and Maggie spent time reconnecting and catching up.

“Your home is very lovely, Amani,” Maggie complimented, her eyes taking in the surroundings.

“Thank you, Mags. It feels good

Amani basked in the pleasure of seeing everyone revel in the evening’s festivities. The event was a resounding success, and Penelope and Michael’s presence added a layer of joy that Amani deeply appreciated. Though she frequently urged Michael’s mother to join them in Bloodmoon, she remained steadfast in her choice to stay in the home her mate had built. Penelope’s radiant happiness was unmistakable, and even Maggie had been moved to tears seeing the sweet girl so content. As the last of the sun’s light disappeared, Darius and Andrew unveiled the centerpiece of the evening—a grand fire pit, but not just any fire pit, one stacked high with glowing lanterns that cast a mesmerizing glow over the crowd. Amani rose from her seat, making her way to the center of the courtyard where the lanterns stood.Archer, a little too influenced by the evening’s wine, took to storytelling with gusto. “And then he dropped to his knees like this and said, ‘Amani, I know you have a good heart… please have

After the light show, the band played on as the party continued, filling the night with music and laughter. Malakai and Archer took the opportunity to mend their strained relationship, sharing a moment that had been long overdue. “I don’t know how I can ever thank you,” Malakai said earnestly. “For what?” Archer asked, genuinely puzzled. “For defending my mate that night on the eastern bluff,” Malakai replied, his voice thick with gratitude. “She’s the one who ended up saving my ass,” Archer said with a chuckle, trying to downplay his heroism. “But you fought until the end and were willing to lay down your life for her,” Malakai insisted. “I will never forget that, brother.” Archer glanced over at Lily and Amani, who were drinking wine and laughing together. “I know you would have done the same thing without even giving it a second thought,” he said, his tone softening. Malakai smiled, a silent understanding passing between them. He followed Archer’s gaze towards the two

After a night of intense, wild love-making, Zayn and Seraphine fell asleep in each other’s arms, releasing their possession of Malakai’s and Amani’s bodies as they drifted into slumber. Morning arrived, and sunlight streamed through the window, casting a warm glow on Amani’s face. She slowly opened her eyes to find Malakai watching her, his expression soft and adoring. For a brief moment, she almost drifted back to sleep in his embrace, her mind still hazy from the night’s events. But as the memories of the previous night flooded back, her eyes snapped open, and an angry scowl formed on her face.“Amani… wait…” Malakai pleaded. She sprang from his arms with sudden urgency. “Seraphine! How could you?!”A low whimper from Seraphine was the only answer she received. Amani winced in pain, nearly buckling over as she stood. Her core felt like the aftermath of a battlefield, aching from the fierce and unrelenting passion of their mating. She surveyed the wreckage of her room in disbelief. T

A kiss that began slow and tender quickly ignited into a fervent, desperate clash of lips and tongues. They devoured each other with a hunger that spoke of long-buried desire, a need that had been denied for far too long. Malakai’s mouth traveled from Amani’s lips to her neck, down to her supple breasts, where he teased her erect nipples with his teeth. She cried out in pleasure, her body arching towards him, craving more of his touch. She hadn’t realized just how deeply she missed his sensual caresses.“Kai… I need you,” she whispered, her voice trembling with desire. His lips left her breasts and returned to hers, his kiss a promise of eternal devotion.“Tell me what you need, darling,” he murmured, his breath warm against her skin as he sucked on her bottom lip like a luscious fruit.“I need you… all of you. Malakai and Amani had spent three idyllic weeks together, lost in the joy of each other’s presence. When the time came for him to return to Blackclaw, Amani clung to him, reluctant to let him go. Malakai was equally torn; he longed to stay with his mate, but he had important matters to discuss with the council and his father regarding their future. A week had passed since Malakai returned to the Royal Kingdom, and Amani found herself managing the long wait with a flurry of activities. She kept busy, reminding herself that she had endured months apart from Malakai before; a few more days seemed manageable. Yet, the wait was proving to be longer than anticipated. The latest letter from Malakai revealed that the Alphas from the Pack Lands would not arrive for another week, possibly two.She couldn’t fathom why it was taking so long to convene a meeting with the Alphas. The delay was as perplexing to Malakai as it was to her. Apparently, the King wanted to make the visit memorable with a grand banquet. While the prospect of such an event was irritating to Malakai, he was trying to remain patient, given that his father seemed to be showing support for his union with Amani.Amani found herself rereading that part of Malakai’s letter multiple times, struggling to believe it. It felt as if hell had frozen over, she mused to herself, ama

Leanna stood on the porch of the manor, leaning against a pillar. Her heart tightened inside her chest when she saw Darius and Archer return with a hysterical Amani, completely inconsolable. Overwhelmed, she stepped outside, on the verge of a breakdown herself. Some time later, Darius walked out and sank onto a bench, resting his head in his hands. “How is she?” Leanna asked softly.“Just as you would expect,” Darius replied, his voice heavy. “She blames herself for the death of that entire village, as if she were the one to poison the food herself. I had Maggie give her a mild sedative… it was the only thing I could think to do to calm her down.”Leanna joined Darius on the bench, resting a comforting hand on his shoulder. “Are we certain it was poisoned? Could it have been spoiled or contaminated?”Darius raised his head, meeting Leanna’s gaze with a dreadful look. “Archer and I sniffed it all out ourselves. The sun had just crested the horizon, casting long golden rays over the battlefield, as if nature itself was marking the start of a new day — one that would end with a kingdom’s fate decided in blood. Malakai and Amani stood side by side in their wolf forms with their army of wolves standing fiercely behind them, stretched as far as the eye could see. On the opposite side, King Zander stood at the head of his own army, composed of the most powerful Alphas from the Pack Lands, their own armies standing just as formidable. They, too, were in their wolf forms, muscles tense, their eyes glinting with the same deadly readiness. The King’s gaze locked onto Malakai, his eyes cold and calculating. There was no remorse, no regret—only arrogance, as if he already knew how this fight would end. Malakai’s fury was barely contained, his gaze burning with years of betrayal and the raw need for justice. The Royal Council watched from the side in human form, mounted on their horses. Darius countered Malakai’s attack with a sharp snap of his jaws, but Malakai was faster, his dark, hulking figure moving with terrifying precision. His eyes, flickering between blue and black, betrayed the storm of rage building inside him, the same fury that would fuel him for the inevitable battle at sunrise. From a distance, Amani watched, her heart in her throat. She stood with Archer and Maggie, their forms shadowed by the trees, far enough away to avoid being a distraction, but close enough to see the intensity of Malakai’s movements. He was pushing himself hard—too hard—and she could sense the weight of his determination, the ferocity of his resolve.“He doesn’t understand,” Amani muttered, her voice barely above a whisper.
