A Bleak Future

Malakai and Amani had spent three idyllic weeks together, lost in the joy of each other’s presence. When the time came for him to return to Blackclaw, Amani clung to him, reluctant to let him go. Malakai was equally torn; he longed to stay with his mate, but he had important matters to discuss with the council and his father regarding their future. He promised Amani he would return as quickly as possible and vowed to write her every day. They parted with heavy hearts, longing for the day they could be united permanently, free from any external constraints.

With the majority of the omegas now part of the Bloodmoon pack, the palace felt as empty and silent as it had the day Malakai left. Even Maggie, charmed by the serene atmosphere and the Bloodmoon members, chose to stay behind.

What a vile creature King Zander, not only is he willing to kill Amani, but also every Bloodmoon pack member?! That man has to be stopped ASAP. I don't believe how naïve Terrence is, thinking the King would confide in him about such a serious threat to the Pack.
