I threw away the medical report and tidied up the house Chris and I stayed in, throwing everything that belonged to me away. He probably didn't want to see anything that belonged to me if he ever came back.

Before I left, I fed a stray cat in the area. The little kitten seemed to sense my emotions and nuzzled my palm in response.

I teared up at the sight, before I hastily swiped my tears away. "Take care of yourself without me, okay? The world is still a beautiful place, it's just a shame that I can't feel it anymore."

Without looking back, I boarded the train to leave this place.

One week later, I found one of the criminals' hideouts, following the clues I had on hand. Acting like a normal person, I blended into the crowd and managed to get inside.
