The only thing I could was curse my brains out.

The ground was insanely muddy and slippery after I had passed the pack's border. And to make things worse for myself I felt the mate bond broke away slowly yet gradually. This would have definitely made him known that I had passed his territory.

The mark burned, telling me to stop, however I wasn't gonna. Not now, now never.

I was not far from the pack since it had been an hour only.

My legs were paining and my lungs were screaming at me for being stupid.

'At least, you could have brought a bottle of water before you went on rampage.' Julie mumbled, her voice hiking every time. She was definitely angry, no doubt, after all she wanted her mates to be close to her.

Julie---the necromancer was one powerful devious warrior kind, of her breed. She was arrogant and always on edge. At first she never wanted a weak halfling like me but as time gradually passed she accepted me with my flaws.
