"I really wanna see them once again."
A girl sat on the edge of the cliff with her feet dangling in midair. Her dirty hands fisted the soil, squeezing it tightly until a trail of the brown dryness seeped through it.
"Times up, rouge." A man yelled from a distance, halting her movements. Looking up towards the sky, she heaved a deep sigh. "Can fate be reversed?" She mumbled, glancing at the white plops of cotton which slowly moved side by side. "Can I be the same once again?"
"Leave, rouge."
His words pierced through her ears once again making her hiss loudly. Living in the wild for years had her hearing become insanely sharp, even the slightest noise could be detected by her.
"Alright." She mumbled with annoyance and finally got up.
Her orbs flickered around the exotic scenery one last time before she hastily dashed away in the trees. The wind harshly collided with her face with force trying to slow her down but her determination took the best of her. All she knew, she had to approach her cave without engaging with any other wild animals.
After a few painful minutes, her feet slowed down when her eyes darted around the surroundings. A small smile made its way towards her face as the fresh aroma of the flowers entered her nose.
Walking through the field of sunflowers, she finally arrived at her heaven.
Her home.
"I'm back." She sadly muttered in the silent midst.
The super small cave was located just beside a huge pack-- Rain moon.
The circular entrance was covered with thick leafy branches hiding the darkened area from the outside world. Several rocks engulfed the whole area leaving no space for her to reside but she had to fit in for the sake of her life, afterall being a werewolf and on top of that an exiled rouge was quite dangerous.
The whole area was dark and gloomy suffocating the tiniest thing alive.
She made her way towards the scattered greenery which was her bed. Finally having not a single ounce of energy she fell on the leaves that crunched beneath her. Her back twisted painfully from the rough bumpy ground. With a heavy heart, she closed her eyes to intake the thick humid air.
Her body stiffened at the sound of her growling stomach.
She had left for a hunt but had ended up on the cliff. "There goes another day without food," A sarcastic chuckle left her mouth. "Don't Ilaria, you've been.. through worse," She whispered to herself with her voice breaking in the middle.
"It will be fine."
With a new determination she slowly dived into the world of utter darkness where the monsters resided, ready to chew her alive.
The yellow rays of the sun seeped through the branches directly hitting her face making her stir in her slumber. A groan left her mouth as she turned away from the intruding light. After a few more minutes she finally woke up, yawning loudly. Her body ached from the weird position she stayed in all night.Getting up with extreme difficulty, she stood up on her feet. Her eyes trailed around the cave until it landed on the small brown kitten who quietly shivered due to the cold in the corner. A frown instantly made its way towards her face.Ilaria darted towards the little animal with hesitant steps. "Easy their little guy, I wont hurt you." She muttered in the lowest tone, ceasing the movements of the cowering cat.She swiftly took off her sweater and placed it around the little baby giving the ample amount of heat he needed whilst softly patting him on the head. "I hope this keeps you warm." She smiled when the cat nuzzled his nose against her palm. "Awh, cute." She cooed as she slowl
“Should I just leave?” The girl was conflicted. She almost strolled for a mile in the shadows. Her feet badly ached due to the sharp thorns that were buried within her sole. She finally halted when the energy slowly withered away from her body. “Maybe it wasn’t a good idea to come here.” She muttered as her eyes searched the surroundings around her.Not a single wolf or a person was in sight.“Am I lost?” She questioned herself. A wave of dread flashed inside her as she slid down against a huge tree, settling herself on the ground.Ilaria had heard from the people -- when a wolf passes another pack border, they would instantly get killed or worse get tortured for a lifetime. But she never took those things seriously. She usually thought that people told such information just to scare her away. And that is exactly why she was here, in an unknown land filled with various huge green colored plants to test her theory out.Suddenly her thoughts were interrupted when her ears perked up at t
The unconscious girl stirred within the cold on the concrete ground. Her eyes slowly fluttered open as her blurry gaze intook her dark and silent surroundings.Forcefully blinking away the haze, a rapid wave of panic flooded in her body leaving a trail of goosebumps on her dirty skin. Her head frantically moved around in order to search for some light but to her avail she didn’t succeed. The room was submerged in utter darkness. With the support of the wall Ilaria got up. Her forehead throbbed from the impact of the stone. Gathering her remaining energy she tried to take a small step forward but was abruptly stopped by something clinging to her ankle.Crouching down on her knees, her hand flew to the restraint that had ceased her movements. Immediately she hissed at the emerging burning sensation that surrounded her flesh. On the very spot she knew her ankle was restricted by a metal cuff that was dipped in a special liquid called silver. A liquid she was too familiar with from the d
Three weeks had gone by in a blur. Her weak whimpers were muffled up in the silent area. The first week she had tolerated with patience however the second week was hell. In the span of this time, the female and male guards came by just to punish her. They would bring different types of torturing weapons like whips dipped in silver, electric devices, cigarettes and much more. The old and fresh bruises inflicted on her body had ached throughout the whole time period. Two days ago a guard came by and had cuffed her hands from the roof letting her hang there without any support. His dirty hands had roamed all over body without any shame as he whipped her on the back until blood had seeped out of her cracked skin.Ilaria was finally left alone in her own dried blood. She couldn't heal properly due to her wolf not being present."C-Cherie?" Her broken voiced whispered in her mind but to her avail all she heard was silence. "I.. m-miss you."A soft smile grazed upon her lips. "Y-You know wha
The humongous room was extremely silent than usual.Gold and silver chains littered the walls with a tinge of red inbetween it. Huge crystal chandeliers hung from the roof giving the space a bright glow.Ilaria tuned out the mild whisperings of the people who gathered next to the two huge seats which were placed in the middle of the room. The royal seats were colored in specs of gold with red cushions attached to it.“Do you know why you’re here?” The man sitting on the throne spoke with immense authority. Her eyes gazed at his face, dreamingly. The only thought running in her mind; how could some be so attractive and frightening at the same time? An abrupt sharp pain ignited within the side of her waist breaking away the daze she was in. “Rouge? You dare to ignore the King?” The guard hissed in anger. Ignoring the ache, her orbs searched for some kind of emotion on his face but all she got was a blank response.“Answer, Rouge.” His loud raspy voice engulfed the whole area making the
"This will be your room."The old lady wearing a huge scowl on her face throwed her words with annoyance.Ilaria weakly nodded and glanced around the wooden cracked room. "You won't be getting any uniform infact you'll have to work, immediately. Be at the main pack house by 10. Don't be late." She stated and left her alone. Her eyes flickered around to see the room was basically empty; just a small bucket was placed in the far corner to relief her bladder. The whole area was covered in thick dust and cobwebs. She gulped down the lump forming in her throat. This room didn't look like a maids quarter instead it looked like a cell with an exception -- a window.Suddenly a streak of sweat rolled down her face in anxiety. "How will I find the pack house?" She questioned herself.Without wasting any time Ilaria bolted out of the room. Her battered bare feet led through the secluded and quiet hallways. Finally arriving at the open entrance, she walked out of the building and was instantly pr
A wave of dizziness flashed in her brain making her stumble in her steps.Ilaria had scraped the floors, raw and neat for the past few hours. The amount of pressure she released left her body in ac.Placing herself on the tidy ground, she closed her eyes and waited for the wave to pass."What the hell are you doing here, rouge?" A man's voice entered in her ears making her jerk. She tilted her head to find the same blond and dark eyed guy towering over her body. "C-Cleaning?" She replied. His brows narrowed and bluntly uttered, "With your eyes closed?"She bit her cracked lip and shrugged, looking away in embarrassment. Suddenly their small moment was interrupted by another man who was running and yelling at the same time, "Beta Luca, Alpha has postponed his travel and he wants you in his office, like right now. It's urgent."The Beta nodded, "I'll be there. Thanks Andrew." He bowed with a smile and left the two in silence.Ilaria got up with difficulty, her gaze once again wavered in
The morning sun rays enveloped the room, lighting up the darkened area.Ilaria turned around in her sleep and groaned. The past night had went by in fear. Her nightmares had ate her remaining peaceful moments. The light once again shined upon her face, she finally mustered up the courage of get up. The bones within her body cracked and popped. She yawned as her eyes adjusted to brightness.Ilaria stood up with a screaming bladder and went towards the bucket which was moldy and greasy. "Disgusting." She mumbled but nevertheless, relieved herself. The time when she lived in a cave, she used to go to the nearest human city to find public bathrooms. Humans didn't care much unless and until it was something important.Tugging her panties up, she let her dirty shirt, fell freely. The atmosphere was still a bit chilly but she had to bear it like always. "I hope the cat is.. safe." Sighing, she left the room and wiggled through the very same hallways.Arriving at the entrance, she left the su
Ilaria"You guys sound like I'm dying." I joke.Nico's brow ever so slightly rose."Have you ever encountered witches? And that to of the most powerful clan?" Xandros questioned, with the hint of mockery behind his sentence.I half shrugged and muttered a few words before I could even stop them, "if my father's daughter is counted as a witch then gladly.""You're not a rogue?" Ezra asked this time as he came down from his high---what I meant is calming his breed from the inside, however Xandros and Lazarus still had seized him incase something bad happened."What do you think?" I paused as my eyes zeroed on his before they flickered to Xandros who looked like someone had punched him in the face. Take that, asshole. "Because apparently to some people they love to make their very own opinions without asking or finding the truth."Xandros's brows lowered however he remained quiet, probably the new information."Anything you'd like to say, almighty Alpha King? Or do you prefer silence?""
IlariaMy body whipped towards him as my brows cock at his sentence, daring him to further lie to my face but his face remains blank as ever. "Stop lying on my face." I grit, however he wasn't one faced by all of this."Come with me and you all four to my office." He took a huge step towards and I instinctively took one back. "I'm not going back in there. Who knows, this time you might force yourself on me for other things?"Xandros rolled his eyes before grasping my wrist in one go.It wasn't harsh or rough but surprisingly it was gentle. Thousands of sparks travelled through my skin to his and vice versa. His eyes momentarily flickered to where he had grabbed me. I knew he could feel it---the intensity within our bond was much stronger than the normal wolves because, he was the King, King of the whole werewolf kind.He exhaled a breath and spoke, "We need to talk."Before I could argue with him, he softly yanked me out of the hall with the others following behind us.A few minutes l
IlariaI knew, what I had done was completely wrong. But this fucking wolf deserved it. Not once, not twice, not thrice but infinity times. This wolf deserved to die at the hands of his mate---in short me.His face twisted into anger, letting me know that royal wolves like him didn't take insult quite lightly. A rush of fear spills through my entire body at an ungodly speed. If one thing I regretted, it was facing them alone without any heavy metal that could hurt them to some extent. Before he could yell at me, my hand once again flew to his face, roughly.Gasps filled the air, again and this time I knew I was a goner. Well, atleast for now...probably?"You used me for your own good. When I wanted freedom, you forced your ego on myself trapping me between this mate bond." I spit out frantically, pointing my index on my neck, as invisible tears gathered in the corners of my eyes. "You aren't a mate. You're a monster who feeds upon everyone, until you're satisfied."I inch forward, gra
IlariaDark rays seeped through the window.I had myself leaning against the bed frame as I blankly stared outside, at the sky.The clouds didn't diffuse, instead they doubled in the area. They were a shade darker than yesterday.Something about the weather calmed my numbness. After yesterday's stunt, my body was filled with ache and dark bruises. The bruises which they gave her in the romantic way and gave me the opposite.A deep sigh left my mouth.Julie was quiet, after she'd went through. She had closed herself off. I know she'd felt a lot worse than me when they were embracing the pleasure...but the pain within me? The truth was she didn't help me, not that I minded, cause I didn't, afterall she was the one stuck with a wolf-less human.I wrapped my arms over my stomach where I could feel the dull burn within my insides. It was just so painful...even than the beatings I'd taken.Few minutes later, the door opened, bringing in a harsh gush of cold air."Get up."I ignored the intr
IlariaI was an obedient child from the very start. It was something I was forced to do against my will, but whenever I became rebellious or disrespectful, the people drilled pain within my bones. So I kept the will to be disobedient, even when I didn't want to.Most of the time I was faced with its consequences. I wasn’t scared---never, however right now, my bones had chilled like a cube of ice.I slightly laughed before my face dropped. "Fancy seeing you here." I moistened my chapped lips, before taking a slight step back but I abruptly froze when the wolf snarled at me.His long sharp canines baring at me in the most horrifying way.If I die today? May my soul go to heaven.'Stop being dramatic, human.' Julie rolls her eyes.My death stood infront of me, just a few feet away and here Julie was calling me dramatic. The wolf didn't look like a rogue to me. It was more powerful than them.Didn’t ask you.She called me dramatic one more time before shutting her mouth up.The boy groane
IlariaThe only thing I could was curse my brains out.The ground was insanely muddy and slippery after I had passed the pack's border. And to make things worse for myself I felt the mate bond broke away slowly yet gradually. This would have definitely made him known that I had passed his territory. The mark burned, telling me to stop, however I wasn't gonna. Not now, now never.I was not far from the pack since it had been an hour only.My legs were paining and my lungs were screaming at me for being stupid.'At least, you could have brought a bottle of water before you went on rampage.' Julie mumbled, her voice hiking every time. She was definitely angry, no doubt, after all she wanted her mates to be close to her.Julie---the necromancer was one powerful devious warrior kind, of her breed. She was arrogant and always on edge. At first she never wanted a weak halfling like me but as time gradually passed she accepted me with my flaws.I would appreciate you to stay quiet. She snort
IlariaMama always reminded me of how strong my breed was.Dark, gloomy and catastrophic.I leaned against the railing of the staircase with my hand on my racing chest.Intense emotions flooded within me.Julie was supposed to stay in back and only emerge out whenever I called her but looking at the turnout events, she had left her spot and had given me the biggest shock ever. Not one but two.Firstly, she kicked herself out when I had her locked in and secondly she said I had mates---not just a mate.I released a deep breath and took the last step before entering the hallway. She had me in a confused state. This whole time, she never showed herself even when I tried to call her for help. She knew my wolf was dead and I couldn't possibly protect myself against any enemy in the wild forest but still she'd just left me on my own.'Hey I can hear your thoughts, you know.'Leave me alone, Julie. I felt her shrug and she replied, 'I could never, even if I wanted to. Better believe it.' An
Ilaria"Here is your meal of the day."Ezra, threw me with a harsh push and before I knew I landed straight on Nico's chest. His hands instantly encircled on my waist and mine flew to his chest. My breath hitched. He was close. Too close to my face, that I could almost inhale his alcoholic minty breath."Easy there, gattino." He whispered, his voice husky and insanely deep. My fingers unknowingly tightened around his shirt and I tried to get off but his hands kept me locked in my place. "Leave me, Nico." I slowly grit out, only for his hand to further tighten to the point it started to slightly hurt."I'm sure you can feel it. And to be honest I want you to savor the feeling."His words left my own thoughts chaotic but it all made sense when his hand slid up my spine leaving goosebumps behind and deep within my flesh, electric sparks danced all around, making me confused yet again.I wasn't to feel those sparks, when I had a mate?"We both can feel it, gattino. Sentilo, so che puoi." H
IlariaFive days. The past five days were the same, usual and boring. Two maids, had brought me food---breakfast and dinner and they went without acknowledging me. The food would always be mouth watering but it felt as if I had no appetite. This circle kept on rotating with me barely holding up. Nothing seemed to spark my interest.Even Dionna didn't visit me anymore.I sigh as I heard the door open. Those two came inside. One of them hung the fresh clothes in the bathroom whilst the other placed the tray---filled with food on the bed. Chicken pasta and some diced fruits, apple and pear. "Can you atleast tell me if I can see Xandros?" I mumbled, my voice just above a whisper. The maid who was filling the water froze for a bare moment before going back to her work, literally ignoring me.My shoulders slumped and I leaned back on the headrest, knowing it was useless. The past days I tried every single technique but they never spoke as if they were deaf or mute. I irked them by cursing ba
