3. Night mission

"Red crystal pack," I read out my eyes fixed on the hot guy.

For the first time in my life, I kinda felt something in my heart but quickly dismissed whatever it was and looked back at Tylor.

" Yes and since he is an Alpha, he might be linked to other Alphas from around the area but one thing you need to know is that, he is jullie's real older brother," I looked at him in shock,

" Really? As in Jullie my Jullie?" 

" Yep!" he nodded his head, " and since his parents were killed by Damien, we believe he might also be hunting him down which means you will disguise yourself as--"

Sammy grabbed some nerdy glasses with contact lenses, " Fiorella Aronzo the nerdy high school student and then-- Well we will tell you the rest later." Sammy added with a grin. Damn it I hate school.

"Right now--" Uncle Gideon began and Tylor took out his gun while Sammy took her swords handing me my bow and arrow as Pedrò and Antonio took their various weapons too, "The five of you are going to test out his strength and weakness," uncle Gideon stated.

"So this means we are going for a night mission," I acknowledge testing out my bow. 

"Affirmative," Aunt Angie responded,

"this one is just a test, don't kill only injure when necessary and make sure you are stealth enough otherwise the next part of the plan won't work,"

"Got it!" the five of us responded as we walked out of the workshop following Tylor who led the way.

**BRIAN pov***

"Bang bang bang," I was startled awake by a loud banging on my room door

 "dang it!"  I mumbled dragging myself out of bed.

"What!" I grumpily said seeing my cousin Daniel standing there.

"Rogues at the northern boarder." hearing the word rogues, I was already running towards the front door and shifting mid air once I was safely out.

I ran at full speed but what I found there was something I wasn't expecting. A scent, a sweet scent of fresh daisies hit me at full force almost making me lose my balance,

" Mate!" my wolf whispered.

I looked around trying to spot her but I couldn't since Many warriors were fighting off the rogues.

This only meant that my mate was one of the rogues here but which one?

"Don't kill any of the female rogues, instead capture them," I said through the pack link. 

 "But why?" Daniel my cousin asked. 

"Just do as I say," I commanded.

I wasn't going to tell him I have sensed my mate, no way. Daniel was the playboy in the family. He prefered hook ups and one night stands with different girls while I only ever dated one girl, broke up with her when I turned seventeen so that I could focus on finding my mate.

The rogues seemed to be tougher than I thought as more kept on pouring out.  I snapped the head of one of the rogues and,

"Brian look out--" I heard my uncle Ben yell through the link,

I didn't even register what was happening as I felt something claw on my back but the claws were instantly retracted and the rogue fell limp.

"what the?" I looked at the rogue who had an arrow sticking on it's left eye.

'Hunters' that's the first word that came into my mind as I looked up in the trees trying to spot them and I saw a figure jump to another tree running away.

"Are you okay?" Uncle Ben came closer to me once we had finished off all the rogues and the females captured. They were about five of them.

I'm fine I responded looking at the arrow. I couldn't understand why a hunter would kill a rogue for me, I mean hunters and werewolves were mortal enemies.

They ( hunters) never regarded us (werewolves) as people but as animals that deserved to be killed and we never treated them as people either, but as threats that needed to be eliminated. So then why would he or she risk it to save me?

"What should we do with them?" Blake my third in command asked grabbing my attention, I looked at him and all he did was point at the female rogues who cowered in fear.

I took in a deep breath and sadly, I couldn't scent my mate which only meant that she wasn't among the rogues.

I sighed, maybe I was just hallucinating since I have been looking for her for so long.

" No it wasn't an hallucination, she was here," my wolf said adding a small whine of sadness. I let out another sigh,

"We will find her when the time is right," I encouraged and he retreated to the back of my mind, 

"Alpha are you listening? Is everything okay?" Blake asked grabbing my attention again.

"Yeah, Do whatever suits best,"  I said in monotone going back to the pack house. 

I went straight to my room and hit the shower, washing off all the blood and dirt that got on me,

Once I was done, I wore my grey sweats and laid on my bed thinking about how different my life would have been if my parents never died, if I never lost my little baby sister.

It was five years ago, three months after my little sister was born. We discovered that she was special and had special abilities which would attract a lot of unwanted attention.

That day, both my parents took my baby sister Angel into the woods to perform some kind of ritual. I wanted to go along with them but they made me stay back and take care of my other brother and sister.

I did as told and patiently waited for them to come back but an hour later, howls filled the air and the next thing I knew, my uncle and other pack warriors were running towards the woods.

At first I thought it was a rogue attack until I felt immense power  pour down on me. I didn't know what was happening until I saw the warriors carrying two bodies covered in blood with my uncle Ben crying his eyes out.

I rushed towards them only to find that it was my parents with my baby sister nowhere to be seen.

I felt devasted and asked my uncle what happened but all he said was that they were attack and that my sister was taken not only that but they also found and arrow belonging to a hunter.

Since that day I vowed to find my little sister and mercilessly kill whoever was behind my parents brutal murder.

" I will avenge your death and find my little sister, Angel," I said looking at the pic of my parents that sat on my bedside table.

With this thought in mind, all sleep left my body and I ended up going to the gym to train so that I can be well prepared to take down whoever was behind my parent's fall.

After training for a while, I looked at my watch and it was four a.m.

I decided to go back to bed and get some rest.

The loud chirping of birds and the soft knocks on my room door work me from my sleep.

"Brian," I heard a melodious voice which belonged to my aunt Melody, my Mom's sister, "Brian it's 7am honey, wake up or you will be late for school,"

"Okay auntie I'm up," i responded getting up going to take a shower.

Once I was done and dressed up, I walked down stairs for breakfast. 

"Goodmorning big brother," my little ten year old sister Lizzy, said crushing me in one of her bear hugs.

"Goodmorning sweetheart,"I responded hugging her back followed by kissing her forehead.

She let out a small giggle then ran into the dinning room with me following behind.

"Today is going to be the happiest day of your life." My aunt Melody said as soon as I walked in and safely sat on the chair.

She kissed my cheek followed by placing some pancakes on my plate.

"Why do you say that aunt?" I asked amusingly eating my breakfast.

"I just feel it," she said in a sing-song voice while I chuckled. 

"Morning everyone,"  my cousin Nora said coming into the dinning room. She was only three years younger than me.

"Goodmorning Nora," I said and at the same time, my brother chris who was also three years younger than me walked in accompanied by my other cousin Daniel who was busying typing on his phone, probably chatting with his new catch of the week.

"Bro can you give me a ride to school? I didn't get my car fixed yesterday," Chris said once he sat on the chair munching on his breakfast.

"Sure no prob," I responded finishing up mine.

Once I was done, I said goodbye to aunt then went to my car and minutes later, Norah Chris and Daniel piled in.

"Wait I thought----" I let the sentence hung looking at the three of them.

"We decided to have you drive us instead," Norah said batting her eyelashes at me.

I sighed shaking my head and starting the car, driving off to school.

once we got there, I packed my car on my usual spot and the moment we all got out, the same strong scent from yesterday caught my nose and my eyes snapped towards the car that packed a few metres away from mine.

"Mate!" My wolf whispered and I widened my eyes in shock, looking at the girl in the car.
