2023-02-09 19:47:25What was supposed to excite me? There was no reason for me to be happy was there? Although I smiled all the time, I wasn't exactly happy, I haven't gotten over my ugly past yet, and I don't think I would anytime soon. Well except with a miracle, a miracle which seems like it would never happen.
Yet here I was getting all excited and blushing over an alpha, my family was busy rotten under the ground, my mom, my dad, my whole pack, my baby sibling, they were all gone and won't be sharing this happy moment with me.
"Have you also started having nightmares during the daytime?" Mom asked.
I was lost in thought I didn't even notice when she walked in and I didn't even notice or see her walking into the room, the last thing I remembered was hearing a sharp knock on the door.
"I have been knocking for minutes without any replies, it was even your friend that opened the door and let me in, I hope you are fine. Did the nightmares not stop? Did they continue?" Mom asked these questions as she felt my temperature with her hand.
"I am sorry Mom, it wasn't the nightmares, it just hurt so much whenever I remember how my parents were brutally killed, cold-blooded like animals. Everyone was killed, not even a single soul was left, and yes Mom, the nightmares didn't stop, they never did", I said sadly.
Mom quickly sat beside me and started cuddling me gently, she rubbed her hands all over my back.
"All will be well my dear, everything is going to be fine", she assured me and I nodded.
"Aww that's cute", Hayden said as she placed the glass of juice on the table and walked towards us. "You both are so sweet, it's not like my mom and me, she and dad are always out on business trips, that's why I have to live with alpha Lucas", she added with a smile.
Hayden was about to say another word when a soft knock was heard on the door, the door opened gently and my brother Sam stuck his head in from the space he made on the door.
"Alpha Lucas is here to see you", he announced and I felt my heart jump for excitement.
"Me?" I asked excitedly and a frown formed on his face, I didn't wonder why, I always knew he had a crush on me.
"Why you? Or have you been seeing alpha Lucas behind our back?" He asked and I shook my head quickly, Mom turned to stare at me suspiciously while I exchanged glances with Hayden.
"Who then? Mom?" I asked again curiously.
"For your information, he is here to see his sister, I do not know why you think he has any business with anyone in this family", he said and scoffed, he still had this ugly frown on his face, he must have figured out I had a crush on alpha Lucas.
"And you", he started turning to Hayden. "Didn't you fix an appointment with your brother? Then you come up and sit here all day gossiping", he scolded Hayden and left angrily.
I quickly exchanged glances with Hayden and she winked at me.
Sam wouldn't compete with Alpha Lucas and that justified his annoyance towards Alpha Lucas, he was always angry whenever the name was mentioned.
Sam was the complete opposite of alpha Lucas, he was chubby, he had a female tiny voice but sounded like a generator whenever he was angry, and he was aggressive and unlikAlphaha Lucas was calm and sweet, he wasn't powerful either, he barely knows how to use his wolf powers.
"Should I ask him to come in for a bit....",
"Yes!" I chipped in excitedly not letting Mom finish her statement.
"I wasn't asking you, I was talking to Hayden instead", she replied and I bowed my head feeling a bit embarrassed, I wasn't even thinking straight.
"Yes Mom, I am sure he would like that", Hayden replied and winked at me, I smiled back at her.

"Thank you so much for having me in, thanks for the meal, it was delicious", Alpha Lucas thanked Mom as he was about to leave.
I was a bit sad, I had expected alpha Lucas to talk about me during the meal, but all through his stay in our house he didn't even turn to stare at me for a second talk about mentioning my name.
The only time he looked at me was when I greeted him and he replied, then quickly took his face away.
"Thanks for honoring my invitation", mom replied smiling. "I hope to have you around some other time", she quickly added and he nodded severally wearing a smile.
"How about me? Don't you hope to have me also some other time?" Hayden asked making a funny baby face.
"Of course I do, I always hope to, have you all the time", mom replied smiling.
"Aww, that's so sweet", she said with a broad smile "Lucas did you hear her? She said she hopes to have me all the time, but she only wants to have you some other time", Hayden teased alpha Lucas and a smile formed on his face.
Alpha Lucas's smile was so cute that it made my heart flutter, it made me want to kiss him that very moment, I wished so much that we were all alone so I would grab him and kiss him so badly.
Alpha Lucas's smile did something to my body, it made my heart flutter so much and made me wish I was his already.
"Right Sally?", Hayden tapped my shoulder bringing me back to reality, it was then I realized she had been talking to me all along and I was busy daydreaming about kissing alpha, Lucas.
"Sorry, come again", I said scratching my head.
"Once again you're lost", mom said and I wished the ground would open and swallow me, I looked over to alpha Lucas and for the first time today he was staring at me, his gaze was fixed on my face, and I felt as if he could see through me like he could read my mind and I wished the ground would just swallow me up.
Hayden turned me around and hugged me tightly, a whisper follows after. "He's staring at you so much, just pray he hasn't taken your clothes off in his mind", she whispers before releasing me and making a smile.
Her words triggered some feelings in me and I was still trying to process it when I heard Alpha Lucas's romantic voice call my name. "Sally".
