Chapter 240 Thinking About Another Man

Mason raised his eyes to look at Lucy when she asked him the question in concern. He did not say anything.

She had no right to question how he lived his life.

“Why are you here?”

Lucy was reminded of something when Mason asked her the question. She gave him a box that she had been holding.

It was exquisite and had a nice feel to it.

Mason looked at it from under the street lights outside his house. He frowned at Lucy.

“What’s this?”

“It’s your present. I picked it specially for you. It’s a pair of cufflinks.”

Lucy smiled warmly at him. “Happy birthday, Mason.”

Oh, they were cufflinks.

Mason did not say anything. He nodded gently and put the box into his pocket.

“Thank you.”

He felt a little dizzy from drinking too much and was stumbling.

Lucy quickly helped him up.

“Why did you drink so much? You should take better care of yourself."

She shook her head slightly and helped him inside the house. She helped him to the sofa before going to get him a glass of hot water.
