Thirty-eight

I know I shouldn't trust him but what other choice do I have. He came to my room early in the morning saying that during his scouts he saw some werewolves lurking around which scared the shit out of me.

"I need to leave your house Steven" I quickly wore my sandals as I headed for the door.

"It's still dangerous Max" he said grabbing my arms.

"Steven it's more dangerous if I stay here" I shrugged " they'll come after you. My magic isn't as strong as it used to be and they have a witch a very strong one working with them. I no chance against them" I said as I walked out of the house.

"Wait I know the ins and outs of this forest I can help you find your way out faster. I know a short cut" he said picking up his rifle.

"Why do you need that are you hunting?" I asked.

"We don't know what might happen Maxine we need to be ready that alpha is ruthless" tell me something i don't know.

"Alright then let's go" I walked out and he followed suite after he locked everywhere.
