The next day,

Damian sat in the living room with a glass of wine in his hand. His eyes were dreamy, his mind dark, full of anger and bitter memories. Felix. The name kept haunting his mind. All the old wounds he had tried to bury all this time came rushing back. And now, in front of her was Yara, that girl. Yara's eyes, her smile, even the way she looked-all reminded Damian of the man who had ruined his mother's life.

Yara, who had been standing by the door, watched Damian. She knew he was deep in thought, but she didn't care. If this was her way of conquering the monster, then she would do it.

With slow steps, Yara approached, wearing a simple dress that accentuated her curves. "Damian," she called softly. "Why are you sitting here alone? You look... different."

Damian looked up, his eyes sharp, full of suspicion. "What do you want, Yara?"

Yara smiled a little, then sat down next to him uninvited. She touched Damian's arm lightly. "I just wanted to know what you were thinking. Y

Damian sat on the sofa with his breathing becoming more regular, though his face still looked dark. The wine in his glass was placed unceremoniously on the table, no longer attracting his attention. Yara, who was still sitting next to him, watched carefully. This is a chance to know more, she thought. If she could understand Damian's wounds, maybe she could find a way to conquer the man."Damian," Yara called slowly, making sure her voice didn't provoke any more emotions. "I want to know something. About... Mrs. Dania. What exactly happened to her?"Damian turned his head quickly, his gaze piercing. There was doubt in his eyes, but Yara held that look, waiting for his answer."You want to know about my mother?" Damian asked in a low voice, almost a whisper. Yara nodded slowly. "You said she's been sick for eighteen years. That's a long time, Damian. I just... want to understand. What made her like that?"Damian sighed heavily, his body leaning back against the couch. "Why are you doing this? Why should you choose me? Why, sir? Why?" Yara asked again in a hoarse voice, looking at Damian hatefully.Damian smirked. "Because I was sure you were a virgin."Yara was shocked. Her eyes widened at the answer. "What? You're crazy! You have nothing to do with it!" she shouted, trying to move away, but Damian was faster. He grabbed a chain with a leather collar from a small bedside table. Without saying much, he wrapped it around Yara's neck like a dog."What are you doing?! Let go of me! You've gone too far!" yelled Yara, her body writhing in an attempt to resist. But Damian didn't care. He pulled the end of the chain with his strong hands until Yara was dragged towards the bed. From now on, you are mine, whether as a servant or more than that," Damian said in a low but threatening tone.Yara shook her head violently, tears beginning to flow. "No! I

In another room."Sir, you want to make that little girl fall in love with you, but you treat her like an animal? Isn't that too much, Mr. Damian?" said Hugo, the assistant, even though in his heart he knew his words were risky.Damian, who was lighting his cigar, looked at Hugo with a sharp gaze. "Are you trying to teach me how to deal with women, Hugo?" snapped Damian."Sorry, sir! I'm not teaching, but giving an opinion. Your actions will only make her hate you more. Doesn't Mr. Damian want to make that little girl fall in love with him?"Those words echoed in Damian's head throughout the night. After a few moments of silence in his chair, he decided to go to Yara's room. When he opened the door, Damian was stunned to see Yara still in the same place—wrapped in a thin blanket, her body looking weak, and her eyes still puffy. Yara didn't even bother to cover her naked body; she just glanced at Damian with a hateful look."What do you want, Mr. Damian? Do you want to torture me again

After a while, Yara sat on the edge of the bed. She looked at the door, feeling her chest tighten in the prison-like room. Her breathing was labored."I need to get out of here," she whispered softly, gripping the blanket tightly that was still wrapped around her body. Her eyes moved around the room, looking for something that could help her. On the table, she spotted the empty glass and plate from the meal Damian had brought earlier. If she could break the glass, maybe she could use it as a weapon. However, Yara knew it was risky. Damian would definitely hear the sound of the broken glass. Finally, she decided to try another way. Slowly, Yara crawled to the door, opened it slightly, and peeked out. The corridor was deserted, lit only by the faint glow of the chandelier on the ceiling."It's now or never," she muttered, gathering courage. She stepped slowly, trying not to let her feet make a sound. Her heartbeat was like a drum in her ears. However, just a few steps out of the room, t

Ten o'clock at night.Damian opened the bedroom door with a tray in his hand. On it was a bowl of warm soup and a glass of orange juice. His steps were slow. As he approached Yara, she immediately fixed him with a sharp, hateful stare."Eat," Damian said simply as he placed the tray on the small table beside the bed.Yara didn't answer; she just looked away. Her hands were still bound in chains, leaving her little choice, but she wasn't about to show weakness in front of the man."Yara, I don't want to argue. Eat now," Damian said more firmly, picking up a bowl of soup and holding a spoon. He sat on the edge of the bed, trying to feed Yara."Don't touch me," Yara refused."Don't be stubborn. You need to eat," Damian retorted, bringing the spoon to Yara's mouth.Yara turned her face away violently. "I'd rather starve to death than accept anything from you."Damian's thin patience was running out. His jaw hardened. "I've tried to be nice, Yara. Don't force me to use other means." Yara

After pondering for a while, Damian entered the room. After he opened the door, he closed it slowly and then walked over to the bed where Yara was still sitting with a hateful gaze."That's enough," Damian said as he grabbed a small key from his pocket. Quickly, he untied Yara's wrists and legs. "I won't tie you up again."Yara rubbed her reddened wrists, glaring at Damian. "You fool! How can I eat when you tie me up like that?" Yara's voice was full of anger, despite her trembling body.Damian let out a long breath. "I know. Sorry, I forgot to open the cuffs." He picked up the soup bowl from the small table and sat beside Yara. "Now eat up. You don't have to endure this just to fight me."Yara shook her head slowly, refusing. "I don't want to eat."Damian brought the spoon to her lips. "Yara, stop this drama. You won't win if you continue like this. In the ICU of a hospital located quite a distance from Damian's mansion, Yara stood by her mother's bedside. Her body was wrapped in an oversized nurse's uniform, a mask partially covered her face, and large glasses almost fell off her nose. Her eyes were red, not just from lack of sleep, but from the incessant crying since she managed to get there. Yara grasped her mother's thin, drooping hand tightly. "Mom... please wake up," she whispered while trying to hold back sobs. Her tears dripped between her mother's cold fingers. "I'm already here. I'll take care of you. I won't let him touch me again." Her mother's face looked pale, with a breathing apparatus and various medical wires connected to her body. The sight broke Yara's heart. Yara closed her eyes, remembering how she had escaped. She waited until the night was completely silent, then took advantage of the guard who was asleep in a chair by the door. Carefully, she opened the window of the room and climbed out using a cloth t

Damian sat in the dark and silent study, illuminated only by the dim light of the desk lamp. His face was tense, his eyes red from lack of sleep over the past week. The phone on his desk rang, but after hearing the voices of his team members on the other end only to announce yet another failure, Damian threw the phone against the wall. The phone shattered into a million pieces."Dogs all!" Damian growled under his breath, his hands clenched into fists until his knuckles turned white. He stared blankly at the table, his mind haunted by the image of his missing mother. From behind the door, Yara peeked out cautiously. The girl bit her lip, trying to decide whether she should go in or not. But after seeing Damian slumped over in despair, she took a deep breath and ventured into the room. "Damian," Yara called softly as she approached. Damian didn't answer. He only looked up briefly before looking down again, ignoring Yara's presence."If you continue like this, you'll get sick," Yara

  • The Devil’s Embrace   Chapter 20

Damian stood in the living room of the mansion, his anger already at its peak. The doctor in charge of tracking his mother's whereabouts stood before him with a pale face, clutching a folder with trembling hands. "It's been a week!" Damian shouted, his voice echoing throughout the room. "A week! And you still haven't found my mother! Are you all this useless?" "T-Lord Damian... we've tried s-everything, but-" Damian didn't let the doctor finish his sentence. He strode forward, grabbed the doctor by the collar, and brutally shoved him against the wall. "Don't give me excuses!" hissed Damian with eyes full of rage. His large hands grabbed the doctor by the neck, pushing him until he could hardly breathe. "You know what it would mean if I lost my mom forever, huh?!" The doctor could only stammer, his face red from lack of air. The bodyguards standing by the door looked at each other, none daring to step forward to stop Damian. Everyone knew how dangerous it would be to try to fight

  • The Devil’s Embrace   Chapter 19

On a small, deserted street, a woman with matted hair and shabby clothes walked without direction. Her face was dirty, her eyes wild, chuckling while talking to herself. That was Madame Dania. After years of being locked in a secret room in Damian's mansion, she was now free, but that freedom did not bring her peace. "Hahaha... they think they can stop me," Dania muttered in a high tone, her eyes glancing into the air as if someone was there. "Felix... Felix, where are you? I'll show you... me... I'm better than anyone..." Her steps stopped in the middle of the road, just as a car sped up. The driver honked loudly, but Dania just laughed, not moving at all. "BUK!" Dania's body bounced onto the asphalt, as a man got out of the car and screamed. "Oh my God! What did I do?" The man ran over, his face pale at the sight of the woman's body lying in front of him. But as he got closer and saw her face more clearly, the man was stunned. "Dania...?" he whispered. His hand trembled as

  • The Devil’s Embrace   Chapter 18

Yara sat in the quiet living room, fiddling nervously with the hem of her skirt. It had been two days since Damian had left the mansion. He didn't say anything, just left after throwing a tantrum because his mother was missing. The atmosphere in the mansion felt strange without Damian. The servants walked cautiously, as if afraid that Damian's shadow was still lurking even though he wasn't home. Yara's curiosity began to grow. What exactly was going on with Damian's mother? Why was Damian so angry that everyone was scared just by hearing his voice? She stood up from the sofa and walked to the kitchen, where the servants usually gathered. Sure enough, there were two servants talking while washing dishes. When Yara walked in, they immediately fell silent, looking down as usual. "Hey," Yara called in a casual tone, trying not to look intimidating. "Let me ask you something." The two waitresses looked at each other, hesitating. "What do you want to ask, Miss?" one of them finally sp

Damian was sitting in his study when his cell phone rang loudly, breaking the silence. He furrowed his brow and picked it up immediately. The voice of the doctor who had been treating his mother sounded panicked on the other side. "Mr. Damian, I'm sorry. Mrs. Dania... she managed to escape. We tried to calm her down, but she was hysterical. The guards-" "What?! Escaped?!" Damian stood up instantly, his chair almost tipping backward. His voice sounded like a thunderous crash. "How come? What have you been doing all this time, huh?!" "She became very aggressive, sir. We didn't expect his strength... we-" "Shut up!" Damian slammed his cell phone down on the table, his face red with anger. He yelled at the people in his house, making the sound echo throughout the mansion. "Dog! You're all incompetent!" Yara, who was in her room at the time, heard Damian's shrill shout. She frowned, confused and alarmed. She didn't know what was going on, but Damian's anger felt so terrible that her

Damian sat in his study with a wine glass in hand. His eyes stare blankly at the documents scattered across the desk, but his mind is not on numbers or business strategy. He was replaying the plan he had laid out years ago-make the girl fall in love with him, break her down by leaving her, then watch her fall apart, just like his mother had. Damian clenched his fists until his books turned white. "I can't lose focus," he muttered. "Yara is just a tool. She must pay for her family's sins." He took a deep breath, trying to calm his sudden anger. His thoughts returned to Yara, the little girl who was slowly starting to show a different side of herself. Unlike other women he had controlled, Yara was not completely submissive. Even as she tried to dominate, there was a subtle resistance that kept him on his toes. However, Damian gave a small smile. "She'll fall too. Just like the others." Meanwhile, in Yara's room, the girl sat on the bed, staring at the locked window. She took a dee

"Yara! Why are you crying! Don't you want to conquer that monster?" Yara muttered to herself, wiping away her tears quickly. She stood in front of the mirror, staring at her still slightly wet face. She took a deep breath, trying to brace herself. There was no point in crying. "He's not human... He's a monster... And that monster I must defeat," she whispered to her own reflection. "Self-respect? What good is pride when my life is like this?" Yara sighed, replacing the fearful expression on her face with forced courage. Without hesitation, she opened the bedroom door and stepped out. Her steps were quick, until she found Damian standing in the dining room, sipping a glass of red wine with a blank stare out the window. "Damian," Yara called, her voice firm, but there was a subtle tremble to it. Damian turned his head slowly. His gaze was cold as always, but a little surprised to see Yara suddenly appear. "What's wrong, Yara? You're not quite satisfied with everything that happen
