12. Save Tania!

★ELAINE'S POV★

My heart skipped a beat. Oh my goodness, Tania!

Without waiting to hear anything else from Ashley, I took to my heels and sprinted out of my chambers; through the hallway, while Ashley ran right behind me.

Although my head was pounding from the throbbing pain and it was sort of blurring my vision, I didn't mind. Tania is the most important person in my tumultuous mind right now. And nothing must happen to her! Not even a strand of her hair should be touched!

Darting through the hallway, out to the main corridor, I bumped into someone and almost fell to the ground. A loud yelp escaped my lips as the strong pair of hands held my waist to stop me from falling. But I didn't even wait to see who it was, before pulling out of his grip to run out of the fortress.

Hot tears poured down my cheeks as I raced down the flight of stairs as if my life depended on it. And to be honest, it did. Tania has been my pillar of solace for as long as I could remember. We grew up together. W
