91. The Intruder

Elisha’s POV

I watched him pacing back and forth, and growled angrily as he remembered something and I asked in worry. “What’s happening?”

“From the day you left me, I haven’t seen the real traitor—Madeline.”

Unfortunately, all of my efforts did not help him catch Madeline. I groaned heavily and said, "This is so stupid. She just got away again."

Arman's eyes have dropped as if ashamed; he won't even meet mine. "It's my fault, Elisha.What I did to you was very horrible, and I need to be punished for it." He kissed my knees as he knelt before me. "I beg you, punish me with anything."

I pulled him up and just stared at him, helpless to do anything vile to him. "I'm powerless to harm you, Arman. I loved you more than I hated you."

He cupped my face, and he gave me the sweet kisses on my lips, and whispered softly, “I love you, I love you, I love you. I was—”
