Elisha’s POV
I was horror-struck when I saw Arman beat up all the bad guys with guns with his bare hands and unbelievable speed, making them groan in pain and run away as if they were running for their lives because they were afraid to die.
I pushed down my fear as I stared at him in the middle of the road. His eyes flashed red when he looked at me, but when I blinked, they went back to normal. Or maybe I was just hallucinating. I stepped back and raised an eyebrow as I looked at him from afar. "How on earth did you do that? You...You make them look like a loser, but you're---alone, how? Explain it to me. Do you have a superpower?"
He laughed at me, “Do you think I’m your Superman?”
I frowned at him, and he said, “That’s nonsense, can you just thank me for saving my life again?”
I shrugged my shoulders, and let out a soft sigh, “Well, thank you….”
He walked over to his car and opened the front seat. Then, with sharp eyes, he looked at me. "Harry's family wants you dead. Aren't you scared that your life is in danger?"
“Maybe….Maybe I’m scared, maybe I’m not.” I sat in the front seat with a nervous sigh.
He looked at me with a knowing expression, “Yes, you are.”
He leaned forward and helped me fasten my seatbelt. I could smell his cologne, which had a pleasant scent that turned me on. As I tried to take a breath, my full lips parted softly, and his eyes fell on them. He looked into my eyes and said in a husky voice, "Don't worry, I'm not going to kiss you."
“Oh, don’t be so cocky….I’m not expecting a kiss either.”
Arman kept his eyes on the road, and even though I was thinking a lot of things, I can't deny that I married this guy quickly to get away from everything. He needs a wife badly, and I need him to keep me from being tied to Harry's psycho family.
My sister Cristella called me out of the blue on my phone. I don't want to answer the call because I know that Cristella will yell at me again and keep blaming me for what happened to our Dad.
“Why don’t you answer it?” He said as he glanced at me.
I shook my head and found myself doing what he said. I took my phone out of my bag and answered Cristella's call.
I take a deep breath but don't say anything yet. But Cristella greets me with a swear word.
"You fucking bitch! Look what you did! You ruined everything! Do you know what they did to Dad? They tortured him inside the cell! That fucking family that you're supposed to marry put all the blame to Dad! and Harry—-"
I sighed and gulped nervously, "What happened to Harry?"
Cristella sobbed continuously, "He's dead! And we're dead, you're dead! They are all looking for you!"
I groaned softly, "Can you please calm down? Where's mom?"
She laughed sarcastically, and her voice got louder. "Mom?! Do you want to talk about Mom? Oh my god, our mom is back in the hospital because she's having another panic attack! Look what you've done to our family! This is all your fault, Elisha! if you come here, I'll shave your head with my nails!"
“I have to see her, you can’t take away my right as a daughter to see my mother!” I rolled my eyes.
“Then what? You can solve everything you showed up?!”
I sighed softly, and calmly said. “Yes.”
Then I hung up the phone with a miserable look on my face because I didn't think my sister would leave me. First, she said I was to blame for everything, and now she doesn't want me to see our mom. How could she do this to me?
Arman did a U-turn, and I grabbed his hand by mistake. "Sorry..."
I put my hand on my lap and bit my lower lip in embarrassment. I keep wondering what will happen to my dad or if he will be okay.
"Is this the way to get to the City Hospital?"
He nodded and said, "Yes."
"Oh…Thank you," I said with a smile, then continued, "You are very kind."
He said, "Well, I've heard it all...so you'll go there and be with your mom, and I'll solve your Dad's case with my lawyer."
“Then after this, what’s next?”
He smirked softly and tapped his finger on the steering wheel, “Well, you are going to live with me in three months…and do everything I want.”
I nervously asked, “Like what?”
He exhaled a soft breath and glanced at me with a smile on his face. “Like every wife does to their husband.”
My jaw dropped, and as my eyes were widening in disbelief, I couldn’t take my eyes on him. I don’t know if this man was serious, or was he joking? My throat became dry, and I gulped softly and asked in a stuttered voice, “Excuse me?”
“Yes, you don’t read the contract agreement don’t you?” his expression darkened as he glanced at me, then he pulled over the car on the side of the road.
I shook my head, and blinked my eyes again and again, “I don’t know….I think I was stupid, I thought signing that contract was only to make your ex-wife jealous, making her believe that we are in love with each other.”
"No, dear. In the next three months, you're going to live with me, serve me, and spread your legs for me every night, just like every wife does to her husband. I need an heir."
"Huh?" I stuttered. "I thought...."
"You didn't read the agreement? And what was it all about? Well, if you want to back out. Then that's it, I can't help your dad out of the prison, and remember…your life is in danger, and all your family…."
I thought I was safe already—-but this is another chaotic problem of the situation I'm in again. Damn, I was so stupid. I looked at him with a regretful countenance.
He drove the car again and dropped me off at the hospital. He said, "I'll come back to you tomorrow, and we'll discuss the agreement again."
I couldn't think of anything to say and didn't know what to do. I don't even have a choice, and I'm caught in the middle of Harry's fight and the man I married quickly.
"Elisha? Are you paying attention to what I'm saying?" He asked while pursing his lips, and every nurse in the medical facility turned their attention to the dashing man standing in front of me.
I cleared my throat, but deep inside, I was so confused and lost. “What did you say….again?”
He cupped my face, tilt his head at the side of my face, and whispered, “I said….I can’t wait to fuck you.”
Elisha’s POVI punched him in the face, and I gasped in pain. It felt like I had hit a rock, and my hands hurt. I held my left hand while I stared at him in shock and confusion. Suddenly, my left hand hurt so bad that I could only grit my teeth and endure the pain. His eyes broadened, and he grabbed my hand to see if I was all right. But I stepped back and told him, "Don't touch me!" I walked inside the hospital and he followed me inside, he looked for a Doctor to look for my sprained knuckles. “Doctor, can you take a look at her hand?” "Yes, Of course!" The Doctor stopped what he was doing, and then took me to his clinic. Then he said, “Did you punch a wall? It looks like your knuckles hurt so bad, it was swollen already.” I sighed and looked over at Arman, who was standing in the corner and listening to the Doctor's query. Arman's eyes landed on me. I gave him a dirty look and said to the Doctor, "Damn, I didn't know his face was made of metal.""Oh, that's it? So you smacked s
Elisha’s POV“Arman, we have been waiting for you for an hour now. Come on inside, we need to have to talk—” A woman who had a pair of eyeglasses glanced at me. She paused a little, then continued, “Well, tell her that we have an important meeting tonight. This can’t be tomorrow.” Arman escorted me inside the house while his hand was over my waist, “My butler will take care of you.” A woman in a suit smiled at me but looked like she could easily punch me in the face if I did something wrong. I sighed, sat down on the couch while scrolling something on my phone screen, and said, "Fine."Arman left the living room when he heard the woman outside, but I didn't know that they went to another building. There's a group of people outside, and it looks like they're having a conference room meeting. The Butler said, “Ma’am, may I?” She was staring at my bag, and I shook my head, “No, it’s okay…” She folded her hand together gracefully, then smiled, “Okay, let me show you your room…” “My
Elisha’s POVI came back to him just to snatch my bra in his hand, and he got a very sweet smile on his face while he was staring at me.“Arman, I’m not playing with you!” He winked at me, “Neither do I…” “Stop looking at me like that, it doesn't suit you, okay?” It feels like he was having fun to make me feel angry, and embarrassed at the same time. I walked inside the room again and put on the bra; after that, I went downstairs and saw everyone laughing and chit-chatting around. I took a step forward and saw a lot of people outside. It looks like I was staring at a group of clans in Arman’s family. The giggling ended as soon as Arman caught sight of me and stopped what he was doing; simultaneously, the corners of my lips began to pull apart in surprise. Arman stepped toward me and beckoned me over, saying, "Hey....come here, baby." “So, is this the human that you are talking about, bro?” The man with eight packs asked and winked at me. “Hi, I’m Zel.” Zel extended his hands and
Elisha’s POV"No." I walked away from him and grabbed my purse. Everyone saw me leave the Villa, and Arman had nothing to do with it. He just saw me leave the Villa and stopped chasing me because it might look like he was desperate for me, so he just let me go and told the guards, "Close the Gate!" I heard his mom ask, “What is going on, son?!” I walked into the street without looking back, and when I saw the gate close, I walked as fast as I could and tried to find a taxi, but I thought this was private land and no public transportation goes here. So I walked and walked until I got to the street where people looked for public transit. When I got to the Hart Empire, the building looked empty. It made me sad to think that the building used to be full of life and happiness, but now it seems like an abandoned building. I took a deep breath and tried not to cry as I looked at everything that was missing.I touched the building while trying to break down but I couldn’t help myself but c
Elisha’s POV“He’s in a coma.” Four words immediately put my heart skipped a beat, and my world stopped moving as I heard that from my sister. I couldn’t stop thinking about my Dad and what would have happened to him in the past few days. “Mom, let me explain.” I tried to talk to my mom, but she was distant and glared at me angrily while pointing at the exit; she gulped and said in a cracked voice, “Leave…..I don’t want to see your face!” “Mom—” “I said, Leave!”I had to leave with a sad heart because she didn't even listen to what I had to say. Where did I go wrong? Do they ever think I could do something like that to Dad? As I slowly walked away from the hospital, tears slowly came out of my eyes. Then I saw him again. I quickly wiped away my tears, and my nervousness went away when I saw him take a few more steps toward me. His eyes were like magnets that wanted to pull me back to him, but I stood still and didn't even dare to move. “Arman…” I whispered under my breath. The
Elisha’s POV He was fast…strong and wildly capable of doing something that was impossible for humans like me. Even though I had been gazing at the wall the entire time, I could only see Arman's face—his grin and the crimson glint that appeared in his eyes whenever he became enraged. I had convinced myself that I was merely hallucinating, but I saw his red eyes again today. As he struggled to keep the car from careening off the edge of the cliff, his eyes flared a bright crimson, and in an effort to keep me safe, he held both my head and the door of the car and embraced my body so nothing happened to me. When I opened my eyes, I found him covered in blood with cuts on his arms, legs, and other body parts. My first fear was that he would lose his arms, but his body quickly returned to its previous state, and he carried on as if nothing had happened. "Mrs. Ashford...." I thought no one was calling my name because I was deep in thought, but I heard a woman call my name for the third
Elisha’s POV “If he was not like this before, so was he a bad guy in his past?” I asked softly without blinking. The Butler smiled at me, “Well, maybe.” I groaned softly, “What’s your name?” He scratched his head, “Uhm, don’t tell this to him, he’ll be mad at me if I was telling you something about him.” I agreed with him, “Yes, your name is?” He politely answered, “I’m Marcus.” I extended my hand with a smile on my face, “I’m Elisha…” He didn’t take my hand because he was scared of Arman who was staring at him at the doorway. I blink my eyes slowly innocently and Marcus bowed his head and left the living room with a sweating forehead. Arman walked up to me and said, "You don't want to ask about the robber who stole your Dad's bank information and the one who took your fingerprint so they could open the vault and get into any account and make it look like you took all of your Dad's money?" I pouted in complete sadness and said, "If it were that easy to find that man,
Elisha’s POV"You mean what?" I take a big breath, and it feels like my mind is spinning in confusion. I don't know what she means because today I saw three big wolves, and they are wolves. But they are so big that they are even bigger than a human. I put my hand up and said, "I...I don't get it." Cristella continued driving and said, “There are no wolves in this area, it’s been a long time since wolves were gone.” I sat silently in the corner and didn’t have any idea how to explain this to Cristella—but I saw big wolves today, and I was not daydreaming or hallucinating. I saw it in my own eyes right in front of me today.Cristella added, “Unless some people owned a wolf as a pet. But wild wolves? I don’t think so…” I didn't say anything for a second, and then I didn't say anything more to my sister because I knew she wouldn't believe me. We don't get along with each other at all, and when we talk to each other, we always end up arguing and rolling our eyes. I called my mum, and l
Elisha’s POVGut-wrenching sobs that tore through my chest as I started to recognize the old woman walking towards me with a pitty smile on her face. Her body was covered in bruises and scars inflicted by my nasty biological father. Kaiser gave me a sweet smile, and I smiled back at him, then Arman took him from me. Arman kissed our baby’s forehead and whispered to my ear, “Go, greet your mom….”I can’t believe that I’ll be able to meet her in this surprising situation, and I couldn’t help but slowly wipe my tears away. Cole smiled at me warmly, and Steffina and Farkas were staring at me, walking towards my mom, and they were overwhelmed. “Are….Are you Elisha? Are you my daughter?” she asked while her hands were trembling, touching the side of my face. I nodded my head while crying in front of her, and whispered, “I—I’m your daughter….I am.” I took a deep breath and hugged her fragile body because she was so thin, looked malnourished, and her body was shaking. I grabbed Arman’s coa
Elisha’s POVLooking up at the sky with hot tears running down my face, I asked myself, "Why is this happening to me? That my little baby wasn't even here with me." There isn't even a scent in here that would help me find them. "Cole?! Nancy! Where are you guys? We're already here..." I took a step back as fear and a lot of questions filled my mind. At that moment, all I could think about was my son. To hug him, feel his little feet on my face, and smell his sweet scent. I miss him so much that I couldn't hold back the tears that kept falling from my melancholy eyes.Arman looked around and tried to step inside the ruined Villa, and he found nothing but all the dead bodies of his men and other hybrids. We both stared at each other with worry, and he shook his head, “Elisha, I can’t find them. Maybe we should look more….maybe they left.” I nodded my head, and Arman came towards me, and cupped my face, slowly wiping my tears, and said, “We are going to find them, okay? Just don’t lo
Elisha’s POV“Arman….” I called his name, and Steffina stood up as she finally healed from her broken ribs. She carries me to the top floor when all of the doors automatically open. She said, “What we need to do right now is to escape this place, you know what will happen if we don't! This place will explode in five minutes. We gotta go, Elisha.” I gulped hard, and cried softly, “What will happen to them? How about Arman and Farkas?” She held my hand, “They are going to be fine, my worry is you….you look like you’re dying! We gotta jump now!” I took a deep breath in and looked down in fear. She looked at me and said, "Don't tell me you're afraid of falling. Don't worry, I got you." We jumped together, she grabbed my hand, and I muttered, "Damn! I don't wanna die!" She said, "No, but hold my hand when we get to the ground." I closed my eyes, and the harsh effect of gravity made us both roll around on the ground so painfully. I thought I had died, but I'm still alive. Marcus got o
Arman’s POVThe scream of Elisha echoed through the building as I was in the midst of a fight with Lazaro, who had gone to the top floor looking for an exit. So I stopped chasing Lazaro, and he laughed, "Would you want to lose your mate just to kill me? Hey, kid. You need to save her! and let me fucking go!" Are you sure you can get away from me? Lazaro, no. There is no way out. That's right, I have the key to this building!" Lazaro's expression turned pale.I stopped and jumped up and down every floor to find Elisha. On the last floor, I saw her gasping for air as Jake tried to choke her to death. Jake was on top of her while she was on the floor and could no longer move. In a fit of rage, I leaped behind Jake and gave him a swift spin of the neck. When he opened his eyes in shock, I opened my palm and used all my effort to sever his head from his body, then kicked his lifeless body away from Elisha.I heard Elisha coughing in pain, and when I looked at her, I realized that she had
Elisha’s POVI let out a scream of agony as I strained to bear the pain. Steffina extracted all the golden bullets from my flesh with her fangs and her bare hands. I shook in pain, and all I could see was hazy pixels."Don't sleep, just bear the pain!" she whispered. "You'll lose yourself if you sleep..." She smiled at me and took the last bullet inside. "You'll be fine in a few hours, but we still need to get out of here, and take you to the hospital." I stood up, "I'm not leaving this place without Arman." As she helped me walk down the hall, I opened my mouth to breathe properly and quietly cried. The second time we took the elevator, I put my hand on hers and said, "Thank you." She smiled at me, and hugged me. “Everything is going to be fine, Elisha….Baby Kaiser is waiting for you. You need to stay strong.” The elevator opened to the top floor, but we didn't see anyone there. I said, "Just find Farkas, and I'm going to find Arman." Steffina was hesitant, but I held her hand,
Elisha’s POVAs I screamed in fear, everyone stumbled and involuntarily threw themselves against every wall in the room. Everything broke, even mirrors and glasses. Steffina looked at me blankly while she put her hands over her ears. She grabbed my arm and said, "Let's go find them." We both run upstairs as we take our way going to the lift, but someone behind us chases us. “Run as fast as you can Elisha….” I wasn't aware that I had an open wound on the side of my stomach, which is why I felt a little weak. It would take too long to heal, because the freak who tried to kill me was a hybrid, not a human. I put a pressure on my stomach, and breathed heavily, and Steffina still grabbed my hand as we arrived at the elevator. We pressed the button going to the last floor, and the hybrid who chased us almost stepped in, but I broke his arm, and he yelled in pain as he lost his left arm. I closed my eyes and sat on the floor, "Fuck...Where have you been, Steffina? How did you get into th
Elisha’s POVArman grabbed Jake by the collar and lifted him above the roof. Madeline tried to help Jake, but I grabbed her legs, spun her twice, and threw her outside the restaurant. Every door and window in the hotel was locked, and she knew there was no way to outrun death."You're stuck in here, Madeline." She stepped back and punched the wall to create a massive hall to another room, and she ran to another room while I was chasing her. She stopped for a moment and showed me her fangs. “Elisha! I have no idea that you can outsmart me, so come here, and let’s end this!” "Oh," I said, shaking my head. You have taught me that you cannot fool me twice, so thank you." When she fired the trigger, I dove for cover, dodging the few shots that were headed my way. When she ran out of bullets, she threw the gun and attacked me, trying to scratch my face.“You don’t deserve a life, Elisha! You better die! Die! Die! Die!” I screamed at her, “And you deserved another scratch, Madeline.” I ga
Elisha’s POVSophia laughed hysterically, grabbed my hand, and whispered, "She's alive, like me...There is life after death." To me, it sounds like she's not Sophia anymore. I stomped on her foot and yanked on her arm to throw her. She snarled at me, and her eyes widened when I approached her and kicked her in the face. After she let out a piercing cry of pain, I took a few steps back, at which point she regained her composure, stood up tall, and gazed at me with a grin. She summoned the air with her strength to control the situation, drew her sword, and pointed it at me. Do you think I'm scary, Elisha? We're sisters, right?" she asked as she came over to me without shielding her eyes. While running as fast as she could, she aimed her sharp sword straight at me, but I dodged out of the way and threw a chair at her. And when I looked around, I saw that the blood had spread out and mixed together on the floor. The hotel's employees—the waiters, the cooks—gave their lives for this figh
Elisha’s POVAs the night fell, we waited for Lazaro and his team to show up. I was getting so scared about what would happen. Everyone is already in their position, and we are anticipating what will take place later tonight. I inhaled deeply and then exhaled as I continued to monitor the forest and all of the guards standing outside. We looked at each other, and I could feel Arman's excitement as he looked forward to seeing all the traitors tonight. I fix his tie and look deeply into his eyes. I fear losing this man, but I trust that he knows what he's doing. We locked our hands together, and I smiled at him, and said, “We can do it.” “Yes,” Farkas was already sharpening his claws as he waited for the front door to open. I let out a deep breath and sighed. I could really feel them coming, and they were already standing in front of the entrance door.My pupils dilated, and the staff member at the front desk opened the door. Lazaro stood there like a real devil, smiling in a mean wa
