CHAPTER 9

           Sound of a car packed at the roadside and at the front of a beautiful small house. It was in the evening but the day was still a little bit light, the streetlights was on and encircled everywhere which make the street to be beautiful.

Aminat got down from the car, packed two bags including her hand bag at the passenger's side at the front and don't down from the car. She locked the car and going inside the house which was her own house.

She was just coming back from work. So she bought the food that she could eat along, because of the anger and the bad day she had at work she didn't go to her mother's house maybe to give her the feed back how the place was or to pick her daughter just came home straight away.

     She took the house key under the foot mat at one abandon room that she always use to keep the key sometimes for her daughter. The abandoned room was opposite of her house.

She went to the door, insert the key on the door and opened the door. She on the light of the living room on the wall as she entered, closed the door and entered into the living room.

She removed the jacket as she dropped the bag on the table and put the Jacket beside it, she sat down on the chair looking stressful and with anger also. Put her legs on the table and looking, she moved her bag closer and brought out her phone.

"Hello Haqq! Please bring Zaira home before the day dark than this and if you are not doing anything you can bring her now, even it's because she will go to school tomorrow if not she should have been there!" Said with low voice and didn't greet at all just went straight to the point

"Good evening Sis! Are you at home there? Or you won't be able to come today because you told us this morning before you leave that you will return back here to give us the feedback and gist!" Haqq said with low voice and sitting on the chair.

"I am at home already! I am not in good mood that is why I came home straight. Please when you are done bring Zaira home so that I can drop her at her school tomorrow morning!" Looking unhappy.

"Why are you sound like this! It's true you are not happy, what happened Sis? You don't like that place? Or the boss there is not friendly as you thought? Talk to us now!" Aminat's mother came out from her bedroom with Zaira.

"What happened to Aminat? I overheard your conversation and seen that she was the one, what happened?" Standing beside Haqq.

"She said that I should bring Zaira to her house that she is at home now. And that she is not happy at all even from her voice!" Haqq explained.

"Let me talk to her! What happened?" She said with loud voice and collected the phone from Haqq. Aminat was still on the phone, kept silent and looking all alone in the living room.

"Hello Aminat! What happened? Why this suddenly change of mind? Don't you like the place because I don't get, you are happy before you leave in the morning and told us that you will gist us when you get back so why is it that you come again!"

"Mom! I am not in the mood now, even I will try all the possible ways to leave that place because I can't work there never!" Said with anger.

"What happened now? Don't you like the place or the second team-----" Aminat didn't allow her mother to land before she pick up.

"That is it! I and her can never work together there as one. I can never work with that murderer as one, how can I be working together with that thing never! It can never work out!" Said with anger.

"Who is that? Who is your second team?" Her mother asked. Haqq looked at their mother.

"It's Hamidat! She is the group leader of the second team and they are expecting us to be working together as one! It can never work out, never be with that idiot!" Shouted loudly.

"Calm down Aminat! And let me get it right, It's Hamidat that they transferred to that place and who you should  work it. So what is now a problem with that? You are Hamidat are friends-----"

"We are not friends that was then, we can never be friends again and again!" Said with loud voice.

"What happened between you guys! You just separated from each other without saying anything, and two of you have been friends from middle school you don't suppose to be fighting or having a misunderstanding again! Tell me everything, I will call her too and talk!"

"You can't understand Mom! I know how to handle it. Even I have want to go back to my formal place but the boss said it can't be. But it must be because I can't work with her!"

"You refuse again to tell me right! You and Hamidat should not suppose to be fighting at all because you are like siblings, even I like her as my daughter just see that she too didn't come here again or call me! And I don't get!" Said with low voice.

"Mom! Let forget about that, tell Haqq to bring Zaira home so that she could go to school tomorrow. If her second uniform is there I won't be worry she should just go from there!"

"So you are not ready to talk still! Just try and solve everything out between you and Hamidat so that you could come back to normal, I have miss you guys especially Hamidat!" Said with low voice.

"I know what to do! This is not solving anything, she just to suffer for her evil deeds!"

"How? Can you explain to me?" Asked with low voice and looking at Zaira.

"Mom! I need a rest, talk to you later. Haqq should bring Zaira on time please!" She hanged up from the call and dropped the phone on the chair.

"Is it Sister Hamidat that was transferred to that place as her working team or how? Because I can overheard you mentioning her name!" Haqq asked as their mother hanged up from the call.

"Yes! But talking seriously and with anger that she can't work with her that they can't work together. I don't really get her because she suppose to be happy, her and Hamidat have been a close friends for long and two of them are like my children.

Just all of a suddenly that I didn't see Hamidat here again even before we relocated to this place, or to even call me. I don't know or get anything right and Aminat is very stubborn she won't talk!" Said with low voice and felt bad.

"I remembered! It's since when this incident had happened in 2009 that Sister and Sister Hamidat have departed and didn't communicate again. Or is it sister Hamidat that killed the guy? Or maybe sister thought that she was the one that killed the guy. Because I was there that day with our lawyer, when sister Hamidat announced that she saw her boyfriend murdered!" Haqq explained.

"I will call her later and ask about everything, it's like she was not in good mood now! Pack Zaira's belongings and take her home before the night fall so that you too can come back on time!"

"Okay Mom! Zaira your mom is back from work so you have to go home now, let me pack your belongings and start going!" Talked to Zaira and stood up from where he was sitting.

"Mummy is not coming here again? She didn't tell me that now!" Zaira said with low voice.

"She can't meet up again! So let go now!" Haqq said, using Zaira's school to cross his neck and carrying a small bag.

"We will be on our away now!" Two of them said goodbye.

"Okay! Go safety and come back on time Haqq!" She said with low voice from where she was sitting. Haqq opened the door and left.

"What can now happened between Aminat and Hamidat, I love Hamidat like my own daughter!" Said with low voice and worried about them.

"He is at Chinese restaurant now! Go there. He is at Chinese restaurant now, go there right now!! He is at Chinese restaurant right now, go there!!!" This are all the words that was ringing on Hamidat's head like the sound of a school bell.

She was sitting at the passenger side at front of her car and her husband driving, put her hand on the door of the car and thinking deeply. And the words sounding on her head and which was Aminat's voice. She was the one that called her husband to come and picked her at work, and since then she didn't talk to him at all.

"I have been talking to you since but you don't reply, why did you called me to come and pick you up at work? And you don't say anything!" Her husband said with low voice.

"Why are you not talking to me since? Don't you like the new place or someone offence you there. Talk to me now Sweetheart, I am talking to you!"

"Please! Please!! I am not in good mood at all, can we just go home!" Said with loud voice, didn't look at him just looking outside through the window.

"We are must home!" Her husband said with low voice, looked at her and faced front. Hamidat was shaking her head and continued remembering all those words and ringing like school bell on her head.

Her husband drove inside the compound of their house after few minutes, packed at the front of the house. Hamidat picked her bag, opened the door and got down from the car without saying a word.

Her husband was looking at her and going after her. Hamidat opened the door and entered, her mother in-law and father in-law were in the living room watching movies when they entered.

"Welcome back Mom!" Semiu said with smile, ran to his mother and hugged her.

"How are you?" Greeted him usual including her in-laws and sat down on the chair.

"What happened to you Hamidat! This is very usual of you, even I have cooked your favourite food and that is what I want to tell you!" Her mother in-law said with low voice and looking at her.

"Maybe you should ask her because I have asked several times, asked maybe she doesn't like that place or something happened but she didn't say anything! Maybe she can talk now!" Her husband said with loud voice and sat down.

"Hamidat! My daughter, what happened? Don't you like the place or the boss that is there or someone? Talk to us, I remembered how happy you are when you are transferred to that place!" Her father in-law said and all of them looking at her.

"That is what make me to be sad! If I know that it's that stupid Aminat that they will transferred to that place, I won't go at how or be happy to resume there. How can i be working with that girl!" Said with loud voice and anger showed all over her.

"Why are you so angry about this? Aminat is your friend for cry out loud, you have been friends from middle school even I too meet two of you together as friends so what happened now?"

"We are not friends! Even that was then, we have separated when I see that she is a criminal. I can never work with her or be friends with her again!"

"Can you tell us what happened between you guys, because I don't understand at all?" Her husband said with low voice.

"Hamidat what happened? Can you share it with us so that we can help you guys to solve it, because as your husband said that two of you are close friends so tell us!" Her mother in-law said.

"What i want is that they should just transfer me back to my formal place, I and that criminal can never work together or achieve something good together at all. It can't be possible!" Said with anger.

"Talk to us now on this! As you use to always!" Her father in-law said.

"Father! Don't worry about this, I will handle it and know what to do. I will handle that criminal as well!" Took her bag with anger, stood up and leaving the living room.

"She like to be keeping something to herself! Very stubborn, I have been asking about this her friends for a long time just telling me to forget about it that she doesn't have contract again. Now they met again it's a serious problem!" Her husband said with loud voice. Hamidat and Aminat were the same with their characters and behaviours.

"From what I observed, it's like there is something between them. Why is she calling her a criminal, did something happened between them!"

"I don't know! And like Aminat, she is a very nice and generous lady. Even if she come here you will surely like her and two of them love each other very well, it's now like the way they love each other then that is how they now hate each other because I don't get it right at all!" Felt consigned about it.

"Just calm down! I will know how to ask from her. Just don't say anything about it, don't let anyone of us talk about it for today, okay!" 

"I heard you father! Let me go and change, also talk to her so that she should come and eat!" 

"Okay! I will set your table before you come down!" His mother said and Hamidat's husband left.

"What could have happened between them that make it to serious like this!" Her father in-law said loudly to himself.

The husband's mother went to the kitchen, came out after few minutes with the serving dish and setting the table for them. She finished setting the table after some minutes, going back to the living room when Hamidat's husband came out from their bedroom wearing armless cloth.

"Where is she? She doesn't come down?" His mother asked.

"Said I should help her to bring  it inside, still angry about everything!" Replied as he was packing the foods together inside a fancy tray.

"Just don't say anything about it! Play with her and discuss other things, don't try and talk about that except if she tell you by herself!" His father said.

"She won't talk about it! I have been asking for so many years, but I heard you Sir!" Took the tray and going to their bedroom.
