(AHVI'S POINT OF VIEW)There are times I think fate detests me and just wishes to see me miserable. After staying in the bathtub for hours without end, I finally step out of it and wrap my naked body with a towel and then I step out of my bathroom to my bedroom, at that same time, a knock comes from the door and then it's being pushed open.A gasp wrests out of me as my bedroom opens and Vance enters. He freezes at the sight of me but I'm suddenly gurgling in rage.“Do you have any respect for anyone's privacy?!” I clamor, holding my towel tight in my chest area.He doesn't respond right away because he's taking his time to roam his green eyes over my body and when he looks up to meet my eyes, his eyes have gotten dark with lust and then he's walking towards me like a predator to his prey and a menacing smirk tugs at the corner of his lips. “I knocked,” he says.“You have to wait till I say come in,” I encounter as I step back, feeling prey and then my back hits the wall and he hover
{AHVI’S POINT OF VIEW}I go to the dressing room; I take my bag out of my locker and take a few gulps of water. Suddenly, I feel short of breath as I huff and try to take deep breaths to compose myself.Putting my hand over my chest, I take a seat on one of the benches in the locker room and stare at the floor with a puzzled look.It was never like this with Rigel. I have had no issue or problem skating with him, why was Shane different? Why can't I bear to be in the same space as him? Even his scent irks me and that’s a much bigger problem since I can't bear to stay in the same room as him. Bella is going to be so furious and Miss Xenia won't like the idea of a new partner. Deep in thought, I don't hear the sound of looming steps. The door of the dressing room bursts open strongly and Shanes matches in like a storm that makes me lift my head. I let out a gasp of astonishment and jostled up from my seat.“You can't just barge in here; this is the female’s changing room for god sake!”
{AHVI’S POINT OF VIEW}It's vivid. The sight of Shane lying there in his pool of blood is so raw that I can't seem to get the image out of my head no matter how hard I try, he's right there when I close my eyes and I hate it.“Miss Ahvi, did you hear what I said?”The question bucks me back to the reality of me sitting in Miss Xenia's office with Quinn and three other girls and in front of us is an officer scrutinizing my face with a distrustful look in his eyes.“Can you please repeat the question?” I request in a modest tone that's almost muffled. “What relationship do you have with the victim?”A victim. That means he was killed. “My skat partner,” I reply in the same modest tone.Quinn scowl. “No, please! I saw you two sucking each other's faces yesterday and today he winds up dead,” “Is that true?” Miss Katherina unexpectedly asks from the corner of the room. “Were you in a relationship with Shane?” I grimace. “Of course not!” Even the mere thought creeped me out and nauseated
(AHVI’S POINT OF VIEW)A FEW DAYS LATERShane has been dead for almost a week. Activities at the stadium have been put to an end for the time being and security has been tight yet the murderer has not been found. At this point, the police can just give up their search because, despite the horrendous murder, no trace of the murderer has been found. It's a Thursday and the University has set up a camping trip in the woods for the students. After a lot of henpecking from Raven, I thought it would be fun to do something else and right now, we are at the camping site after driving for almost three hours.“Are you sure these words are not plagued with bestial animals?” One of the students voices out their complaint, looking at the tall trees with a look of skepticism and dread in her eyes.“I assure you, these words are unassailable. You are not the first to have camped out here and I've come to this place numerous times, so you don't have to fret about anything but I will advise you not
(AHVI'S POINT OF VIEW)I don't know how long we followed the brown color wolf in the middle of the woods but I can no longer hear the sound of those creatures, nor can I hear the screams of other students but I can feel the ground under my feet.FinallyRaven trusts the wolf and I trust her so I keep my concerns to myself. Finally, there's hope when I see our bus on the main road ahead of us with other students panicking around it.I whip my head to look at Raven and she also has that relieved look on her face. Then, the wolf stops abruptly and turns to look at us with his yellowish eyes that suddenly seem human when he isn't trying to kill something. Then it moves its head toward the road.“Thank you,” Raven says, going ahead. I stand there staring at the wolf and it watches me too with a tilt of his head. The action makes me tilt my head as well. It's fascinating how a wolf could be so human-like and even understand human language.“Ahvi!”Raven's loud call to my name makes me jerk
{AHVI’S POINT OF VIEW}It is swarthy and the ground is water-soaked underneath my feet as I run deeper into the green forest— behind me is the sound of resonant, low growls that bring a cry of fear out of my throat. I run as fast as my legs can carry me but I don't get far; suddenly my waist is grasped roughly and I whip my head back to come face to face with a pair of red, animalistic eyes and sharp fangs. I let out a scream of horror. With a startle, I jostle up awake with a gasp of hysteria and bolt to a sitting position to find myself on my bed, in my room. I let out a sigh of relief and brought a hand to my chest to soothe my breathing; it’s just a dream, I think to myself as I look at my alarm clock and it reads 2 in the morning. What the hell was that? I think to myself and then realize it's the second nightmare I've had since the forest ordeal two days ago.I look around my roommates and suddenly I feel a puff of frigid breeze that comes from nowhere; my room doesn't have a w
{AHVI'S POINT OF VIEW}As I sit there in Vance's car as he takes me to his penthouse, the only thing that pivots in my mind is what happened only 50 minutes ago before I begged Vance to take me out of the house.Yes, I know I had a daydream but how did the glass shatter into pieces when it was just in my hand in a spineless grasp? The question loops again and again and still brings me to my starting point, where I can come up with no rationale.20 more minutes later, Vance finally kills the engine of his car in the parking lot of the 3-story building. I rubberneck at the luxury that welcomes me as I step out of the car and we end up at the elevator. I had no idea he was this affluent. Suddenly, I realize I have no idea what he does for a living other than the fact that he travels a lot and has gone to almost every part of the world.I silently follow him to the elevator and it takes us to the first floor and then we are inside his home. The living room is large; there is a lot of spac
{AHVI’S POINT OF VIEW}It’s like I am high on something as his fingers go in and out of my entrance at a slow and careful pace. My hands flee up to grip his shoulders and I don't know when I dig my fingers into them—he looks down at me and our eyes meet. His eyes are so unrecognizable, it’s like staring into a deep grove of green.“You okay?” he asks with concern as I stare at him like a love-struck puppy while surges of pleasure push through my body in full force.“Yeah, don't stop, please.” I plead and grip hard on his shoulder when he adds another finger and continues to open me up without breaking eye contact; it makes me bite harder on my bottom lip and his eyes move down to them.“Don't do that.”“Why not?” I ask breathlessly, as his fingers don't stop for a second. I bite my lip again but he unclips it from between my teeth.“It drives me crazy and makes me fall harder.”Does that mean he’s in love with me? The thought brings a blush to my face. My arms circle his neck and pull
