Elara's POV

My head felt like it was stuffed with cotton, heavy and slow. Voices murmured somewhere nearby, but I couldn't make out the words. My eyelids felt like they were weighed down with something heavy, but I forced them open, blinking against the harsh light.

The first thing I was aware of was the scent-antiseptic and herbs mingling in the air. It hit me like a punch to the face, and it didn't take long to figure out where I was. A hospital. No, not just any hospital-a pack infirmary. The faint markings of the crescent moon symbol etched into the beams above confirmed it.

What the hell happened?

I tried to sit up, but pain ripped through my side, sharp and wicked. A gasp escaped my lips before I could stop it, and my hands instinctively pressed against my ribs. That's when I noticed something else: I wasn't alone.

In the corner of the room, hardly seen under the dim light of the lamps hanging from the ceiling, was a figure. First, I had thought him to be one of the healers, but

Andrew's POVI caught her scent before I saw her. That faint trace of lavender and something totally hers—something I couldn't name but had burned into my memory. It pulled me like a magnet to the hallway outside her room, an invisible hold I couldn’t break even if I tried.Elara.Two days. Two damn days since she'd been discharged, and it was like she'd vanished. Sure, the healers had said she needed rest, but avoiding me? That wasn’t part of the prescription. And she was avoiding me—I was sure of it.The weight of unanswered questions bore down on me as I leaned against the cold stone wall, debating whether to knock. My knuckles hovered an inch from the door, hesitation holding me back. What if she didn't want to see me? What if she had her reasons, reasons I wouldn’t like? But just as I decided to let the moment pass, the door creaked open, and there she was.Her hand rested lightly on the doorframe, her lips slightly parted in surprise. Her hair framed her face, loose strands catc

Elara's POVThe kiss was a shock-a storm of emotions I hadn't prepared for. One second, I was standing in my room, trying to ignore Andrew's piercing gaze, and the next, his mouth was on mine, searing and unapologetic. My first instinct was to push him away. My hands pressed against his chest, meeting the firm resistance of his muscles, but then something changed. My fingers betrayed me. Instead of shoving him back, they curled upward, tangling in his hair. His lips moved against mine with a hunger that pulled me in, and before I knew it, I was leaning into him, my body flush against his.The sound that growled from Andrew was low in his throat, vibrating between us, sending a shiver down my spine. His hands had been cradling my face with surprising gentleness; now, they moved lower, skating the sides of my torso until settling firmly onto my hips. Bold, yes, but not rough; a touch possessive in the most scary yet thrilling ways.I gasped into his mouth as his fingers tightened, pullin

Elara's POVAndrew's lips were on mine again before I could think. His hands cupped my face, but his body pressed against mine told me everything I needed to know. This wasn't just a kiss; it was an exposition. Every part of me responded, from the trembling in my legs to the heat pooling low in my stomach. When he groaned against my lips, I felt it everywhere. My breath hitched as his hips pressed forward, the hard length of him brushing against my stomach. A rush of warmth spread through me, and I couldn't stop the small sound of pleasure that escaped my throat.I pulled him closer, fingers tangling in his hair as he deepened the kiss. He tasted of the mint tea I knew he always had in the evenings, yet there was something else, more intoxicating and darker."Elara," he breathed against my mouth, his voice hoarse, "I can't—" He broke off, his forehead resting against mine as his hands slid down my arms. His touch left a trail of fire in its wake, and I couldn't bring myself to stop hi

Andrew's POVElara's whispered words, Your turn, had that ring in my ears. I was thrilled, something really unexpected. It wasn't only her tone, breathless and full of need, but it was the look in her eyes. This combination of mischief and full-blown confidence, like she knew just what she wanted and wasn't going to allow me to stop her, remained in my mind. For a moment, I froze, caught between surprise and something far deeper, a heat that spread through me like wildfire. I wasn't used to this. I wasn't used to someone else taking the lead, but there was something intoxicating about the shift in power. She moved closer, her fingers roaming over my chest, leaving a trail of goosebumps in their wake. Her lips hovered over mine, not a kiss, but close enough to steal my breath."Elara," I breathed, her name a pleaI couldn't quite disguise."Shh," she whispered back, her fingers pressing gently against my lips. "Let me."And I did.She leaned in, her lips skimming my jaw and then lower

Andrew's POVElara's slow breaths blended with mine, and her body warmed against my chest as the night surrounded us in a cocoon of silence. I sketched languid patterns on her back, my thoughts swirling with feelings I couldn't quite understand. The soft crackle of the fire in the hearth was the sole sound, an unsaid witness to this delicate moment. Her fingertips lightly brushed against my arm, sending a shudder through me.“What are you thinking?” she murmured, her voice barely above a whisper.I hesitated, feeling the weight of the moment pressing down on me. “That you...are everything I didn’t know I needed.”Her lips curved into a small smile as she tilted her head to look at me, her deep eyes catching the glow of the firelight. “Good,” she replied simply, her fingers grazing my jawline as if memorizing the contours of my face. For a moment, it felt like time had stopped, like we were the only two people in the world. The room was a paradise, a fleeting relief from the problems t

Elara's POVThe deep, frightening growls sent a shudder through the night air as they echoed through the silence. Every sound tore at my nerves, making me grip the blade Andrew had given me so hard that my knuckles went white. Amid the creeping terror, the cold steel seemed to be the only solid object keeping me grounded. Jacob. Like an evil whisper, the name slide across my mind. I felt sick to my stomach to see him here, confidently standing in the moonlight. His presence was overwhelming, not just threatening. Both the glitter in his piercing eyes and the sneer that flashed on his lips conveyed a terrible enjoyment. I straightened my posture. I wouldn't let him intimidate me.Andrew stood in front of me, a shield of raw muscle and simmering rage, his broad shoulders blocking my view of most of Jacob's pack. His protectiveness should have reassured me, but it only highlighted how unevenly matched we were. The glowing eyes surrounding us moved in sync, a combined reminder of how ou

Elara’s POVTime crawled to a stop the moment the figure stepped into the moonlight. My heart pounded loudly in my ears, drowning out the growls and the taunting smirk on Jacob’s face. The dagger in my hand shook, and I closed my fingers tighter, refusing to let it slip. But no amount of steel in my resolve could prepare me for who I was staring at.“Caleb?” I whispered, the name bitter in my mouth. There he stood, tall, commanding, just as I remembered, with the same piercing blue eyes which once made my knees buckle. His dark hair shone under the moonlight, giving him an underworldly glow. But it couldn’t be him. It shouldn’t be him. Caleb was dead. He’d rejected me. Cast me aside like I was nothing. Because I was the cursed wolf. The night he left me, his words were cruel, sharp enough to cut deeper than any blade: “You’re a curse, Elara. Being with you will ruin me. I can’t—no, I won’t—be bound to someone like you.”And then he was gone. The rumors of his death came weeks later. F

Andrew’s POVElara’s gasp for air sent a fresh wave of panic through me. She clutched at her chest, her knees buckling. I held her up, her weight against me like a lifeline. She was white, her breaths shallow, and the fire that usually blazed bright within her flickered dangerously low.“Elara,” I said, my voice firm and yet desperate, “look at me. Stay with me.”She struggled to straighten but faltered again, and I caught her, my hold tighter this time. Her words, whispered just a moment before, replayed in my mind. The curse. It’s real.Of course, I already knew. I’d seen it with my own eyes—the inexplicable way she had saved my life not long ago. But I didn’t see it as a curse.“It’s not a curse, Elara,” I said firmly, my voice cutting into her shallow gasps. Her eyes flickered open, glassy and unsure.“It saved me,” I went on. “If that’s a curse, then I’d rather be damned a thousand times over. Don’t let him”—I jerked my head toward Jacob—“twist this into something it’s not.”Her

Elara’s POVFor one long moment, I just stood, my breath coming in long, controlled exhales as I stared at the space where Andrew, Dorian, and Mira had barely left.I shut the door behind them, leaving me in the kind of silence that made me uncomfortable especially after the conversation that just went on. What unfinished business could Dorian possibly have with Andrew? My mind replayed every interaction we’d had, searching for any sign, any hints I might have missed while everything was going on. Dorian had always been calculative, always playing a game only he knew the rules to. I didn’t doubt for a second that whatever he wanted had nothing to do with goodwill.Knowing who he is, he has an ulterior motive. There has never been any love lost between. Everything is just a game.I ran a hand down my face, pressing my fingers against my temple, suddenly feeling weary from everything. It is too early in the morning for this.Sighing, I walked toward the window, pulling apart the thick

Andrew's POVThough I intended to meet up with Dorian immediately after leaving the storehouse, things didn’t go as I had hoped.Upon reaching the southern borders, I expected to find him before he entered the pack, but instead found nothing. No scent, no sign, and no sound aside from the gentle rustling of leaves beneath a clear blue sky.He must have already gotten inside.A curse escaped my lips as a shiver ran down my spine. I couldn't help but feel anxious. I don’t trust him. We’ve been fierce rivals for years, constantly watching each other, waiting for a chance to clash. The fact that we hadn’t gone to war yet is nothing short of a miracle.Taking out my phone, I called Michael. Typically, I’d howl, relying on the pack’s natural instinct, but I didn’t want to create any unnecessary tension at that moment."Hey, Michael. I can't seem to find Dorian anywhere around here," I said, my voice strained. "Can you track him down on your end?""Are you serious? Give me a second, I’ll che

If they were with Mira, I already knew they were trouble."So, this is what the Salientmoon Pack gave you?" Mira mused, glancing around with fake admiration. "How nice of them."I clenched my fists, forcing my breathing to stay even. One of the girls, a blonde with sharp features, sauntered closer. She tilted her head, studying me like I was some rare item. "So, this is the famous Elara I’ve heard so much about." Her lips curled into a smirk. "Honestly? You don’t look like much.""Is that why you’re here?" I asked coldly. "To see the cursed wolf?"Blondie snorted. "Yes, actually. But Mira also said you know how to take a good beating. I was bank

Elara’s POVIt had barely been a few hours since Andrew left, and yet, I already felt the empty ache of his absence.I shouldn’t.I shouldn’t feel anything for a man I was destined to kill, yet here I was, doing the exact opposite. It was pathetic. Worse, it was dangerous. Dangerous for me. After his departure, I quickly had a shower to wash away the dirt and aches as well as to clear my mind. But as I laid on my bed few minutes later, sleep eluded me. Now it's the wee hours of the morning and I knew I was going to be dull due to my lack of sleep. The realization that I was going through this because Andrew pissed me off.Especially after the words he had thrown at me.“I don’t need you pointing out how my pack should or shouldn’t act,” he growled. Then his voice dropped, colder than ice. “Especially not from a cursed wolf.”His pack. The same pack that was inefficient enough not to notice when their Alpha was in danger. The same pack that was close by but was unable to do anything

  • The Cursed Luna And Her Ruthless Alpha   Chapter 37

Andrew's POVThe dim light from the single, flickering bulb overhead cast shadows across his face, making the sweat on his brow glisten. His wrists were bound behind him, his breathing labored, and the smell of blood still hung thick in the air.I leaned forward, my voice low but edged with danger. “Are you going to talk, or should I pick which limb comes off first? Maybe your hand… or your leg?” I tilted my head, considering the options as I let my fingers trail over the cold metal of the chainsaw in my hand. For a brief second, I saw the hesitation in his eyes—the flicker of fear—but then he steeled himself, his expression hardening into defiance.“You can all go to hell,” he spat. “I’m not telling you anything.”I exhaled slowly, feigning disappointment. “Very well then. Suit yourself.”With an indifferent shrug, I gripped the chainsaw’s handle and yanked the cord. The engine roared to life, its sharp teeth glinting as I took a step toward him. The scent of burning fuel filled the

  • The Cursed Luna And Her Ruthless Alpha   Chapter 36

Andrew’s POVThe moment we stepped into the storeroom, the sharp scent of blood hit me. It clung to the air, metallic and thick mixing with the damp, musty smell of the enclosed space. The dim light flickered above, casting shadows across the concrete floor. In the center of the room, slumped in a chair, was our prisoner—the source of the blood. I wasn't expecting much but seeing someone who looked so young being held prisoner for torture and questioning by my pack enforcer surprised me.“Is that him?” I asked.“Yes. Don't be fooled by what you see. He is much tougher than he looks.” He stated. “My fists can testify to that.” He added showing me his bloodied knuckles. How much beating did he have to give that boy to get his hands looking like that. Normally, people break after taking a few punches from Greg. With a nod, I took slow, measured steps toward him, my boots quiet against the hard ground. His head hung forward, chin resting against his chest, his body limp.I crouched, gripp

But what was I supposed to do when the entire pack seemed to be against her?I stood at the window of my study, swirling the amber liquid in my glass as I stared into the night. The moon was high, casting a cold glow over the land, but the unease in my chest refused to settle. More dangerous than any enemy lurking outside our borders. And it seemed I had more than a few.Letting her into my bed was a mistake. Elara's POVThe moment I stepped into the pack house, I made a beeline for my room. My hands trembled as I pushed the door shut behind me, leaning against it for support. My breath came in shallow, uneven bursts. What did I just do?My heart still pounded from the confrontation outside. I had given Andrew’s pack a piece of my mind, my words sharp and direct. The fury that had driven me was raw, but now, in the quiet solitude of my room, doubt crawled in.I clenched my fists, squeezing my eyes shut.Did I go too far?I shook my head. No. They deserved every word I spat at them. Their nonchalance had nearly cost us our lives, and if they refused to acknowledge their incompetence, I had no problem rubbing it in their faces.Still, I couldn’t ignore the worry pressing on my chest. Hate had already poisoned the air around me, and now I had likely poured gasoline on an already raging fire. With a sigh, I pushed away from the door and collapsed onto my bed, face-first.
