As expected like everytime, traveling back home was a kinda stressful journey, whereby you have to sit for long hours before reaching your destination.
With my headphones plugged into my phone, my favorite playlist playing out the perfectly arranged songs loudly into my ears was pure bliss while I rested my head against the headrest and my eyes shut completely as if I was in a deep sleep.
Thankfully, we finally almost reached our destination after battling with thick traffic, passengers who stalled the bus every second we reached a canteen or stall where eatables were sold, it was like as if some people just couldn't control their stomach from getting hungry everytime.
Oh, and then there were two or three people who were always stopping to ease their bladder free, always urinating every one hour.
Like, why do I have such a shitty luck today? I only wanted to go home in peace.
That's still fair, but bursting the door open and scaring the black Jesus out of me is so not cool."Leave the phone and give your mother a hug." Her familiar voice echoed around the room with the hint of a smile."But my phone is broken!" I replied her grumbling the words out."So?" She asked as she pulled me up, the phone falling off my thighs again towards the floor.Alright, it's official. My mother is a phone killer, I'm sure it's already dead after the second fall if it did survived the first crash.I scowled at her after giving my phone a sad glance before returning the dejected look at her again to emphasize on how much I was pained.Oh yes, I really am painedLike, a phone is part of the soul, loosing it feels like you are about to die.Right.I
"It's the truth. You don't go out, like at all." He answered slowly, putting emphasis on every word. The bastard.Sad, but he was saying the pure truth, I don't go out.Not like I don't go out at all, but I just don't really enjoy going out too much, I prefer being buried in a book instead of being in the midst of annoying people. And, let's not forget that people tend to annoy me a lot.I'll choose Goldie, my dog over a lot of my course mate.Sad, but that's me.Take me like that or still take me, I wouldn't care that much anyway."Hey! I go out, but not that much." I denied vehemently."That's what I said, you don't go out." He replied flatly."I go out, but not every time." I grumbled out.
This would be one tough girl, he could see it in her eyes.He went ahead and told her what he tells his children about the Christmas tree and felt good with himself when her small face lit up with curiosity. She actually bought the wish story and daintily walked towards the tree and did as he told her to.All she only wanted was a sibling. At the age of ten, going on eleven, the envy Fay have been feeling since the house got filled up by kids and kids cannot be explained the way she felt it.She wished for a baby brother or sister for her to be able to spoil, take care of, babysit, share her stuffs with and so on, but unfortunately for her, her parents haven't been able to give her a younger sibling."I hope I get a kid brother or sister soon." She whispered into her fluffy pillow that night before fal
On getting to the hospital, he was barely breathing. They did all their possible best but the amount of sleeping pills he consumed was way too much for his age, making his blood pressure rise too high to a point of danger as well as his breathing coming to almost standstill.Assuming he was brought in a little bit earlier, he might have survived, the doctor explained to them as he consoled them as best as he could before excusing himself. Her mother was broken and cried dejectedly as they finally got home around noon. Their house was already filled up with family members who tried to console Fay's crying mother.Fay sat still on the far end of the room, on the floor as her family members cried around her but not one tear fell off her eyes. She stared straight ahead but couldn't see a thing, all she could see was da
She knew I was the most affected from what happened to my brother, JamesThey both know, my parents, yeah, the both of them.I stared at the ceiling without looking at it but past it in thoughts. The sound of my phone ringing again brought with it, a strong wave of pounding in my head, resulting in me wincing painfully as I cradled my head between my cold and clammy palms as I ignored the incoming call again.Must people be this persistent? I've been ignoring and the person kept calling, can't people read hints again? It's so freaking obvious that I don't wanna talk to whoever that was calling but it seems the person wasn't ready to give up yet.Oh well...******"Did you eat today?" Mum asked, standing by my doorstep, the bright lights from the hallway beh
Well, Amara and I met in uni, she's one of my two only closest friends, she's an amazing person and doesn't have so much baggage like I do. She's strong and what I'll call calm fire." I finished with a small laugh, I've missed Amara so much, I just didn't realize how much."She's very intriguing." Rinola commented before adding. " You have a second close friend, what's her name?" She inquired."Well, this one's a He. He and I knew each other since kindergarten, we weren't so close while growing up." I explained."Oh, why?" She asked."That's because I didn't really talk much in secondary school." I answered."So, you talk more now?" She inquired."No, I_ I don't, I'm complicated." I said with a laugh with she echoed after me before adding. "I love complicated, it's more intriguing and interesting than normal." She explained and I looked at her suspiciously.
He was sitting on the far edge of the long waiting chair, away from the rest of the people."Fay?" He asked, squinting his eyes almost closed and I shrugged my shoulders.Of course it's Fay."Is it me or, did you get prettier?" He asked, a hint of a smile playing across his lips, I got tired of standing so I rested on the wall opposite him. What did you expect? For my poor legs to break? Old habits don't die."I dunno, you tell me." I mumbled out to him as I shrugged my shoulders again."Well, I think you've gotten prettier than the last time we saw." He stated and I smiled when he kept on staring at me."Why didn't you ask for my number anyways?" I asked.I've always wondered."Well maybe I was waiting for you to ask for mine." He replied with a light chuckle and I shrugged again."What
With sour limbs and sweat soaked sheets, Fay, who barely slept a wink the whole night after tossing and turning throughout, wearily rubbed her hands all over her face as she stretched her arms out tiredly.Glancing around her bedside, she spotted her phone on the floor by her bed, she must have dropped it there after talking a little to Silas last night, she remembered as she stretched below to pick up the phone and checked what the time said.It was a little after seven a.m, she winced slightly as she put her legs gently on the floor then she made to stand up.A sharp pain shot through her stomach, making her bend over the sink she was washing her face in after struggling to wobble to the bathroom through the dull pain she started feeling the moment she woke up, in immerse pain.Sharp breaths left her parted lips as she winced painfully again, struggling to breath through her mouth whe
