Laying on my bed at six in the morning because I couldn't sleep was how I started my day, but it picked up pace pretty quickly. I got up and walked to the kitchen, everyone else was asleep so I could cook and listen to music without getting harassed to "turn it down". I grabbed a pound of beef and a carton of eggs from the fridge and turned on the stove, cooking was a way for me to focus and think even if I got teased by my friends because it's "not what a demon would do". After thirty minutes I had a beef, egg, and onion hash with two pieces of toast and a can of Johnny's homemade Cola, the guy can drive a big rig and make a mean Cola, so I gave him a section of the basement to mass-produce it for me and the rest of the family.
"Well well, who's up at the crack o' dawn?"
"Yeah yeah, couldn't fuckin sleep, so what?" I replied to Johnny with a mouthful of Hash in my mouth "Why're you up early, couldn't sleep after riding yo daddy for an hour last night?" I knew he had a daddy kink and that he was really shy about it, his boyfriend loved it but he hated it when he was blushing, which I would use every once in a while to get some peace. He walked into the kitchen and popped a couple of waffles in the toaster while heating the stove to make some eggs.
"Shut up." He mumbled causing me to crack up, he was always shy about it when he started mumbling it made me laugh.
"I'm just messin' with ya dude, you doin' alright?"
"Ummm n-no, not really...can I get your advice on something?"
"I'm not great at the advice, can I interest you in a sarcastic comment?"
"You need to stop quoting Chandler Bing, you ain't getting laid like that." He said and now I was the one blushing because he wasn't wrong, I am a shy, sarcastic cunt wad and have yet to find my mate, which sucks...seeing as everyone else in my family has, but I'm not gonna complain, I'm happy for em'.
"What's up, mate?"
"I-I wanna get married to Der, but I'm too shy to propose, I feel like I'd screw everything up, stumbling on my words, poor planning I'd just-"
"Okay one, fuckin relax dude, you ain't gonna get anything done stressing like that, two your eggs are burning," I said and he panicked and flipped his eggs and thanked me " And finally three you don't gotta worry, you ain't gonna propose cuz Der already said he was," I said and he looked at me with a shocked look, like he just won the fucking lottery, which I guess to an extent he did, everyone knew how much those two loved each other if one got hurt the other went into a frenzy and put whoever hurt them through so much pain, that they wished they were dead.
"W-what?? A-are you serious?"
"Yep, and turn off the stove, your eggs are done." He turned off the stove and put his over-hard eggs in between his waffles with a slice of cheese, and grabbed a cherry cola from the fridge.
"How do you know?"
"Can't tell ya that my dude, you just need to relax and wait" I said and he looked happy but impatient, causing me to laugh "you look like a sad puppy who just got told he can't have a treat!" He blushed and started devouring his sandwich while I cleaned my plate and put it back in the cupboard. By this stage, everyone was either already up and making breakfast or just starting to get up, so I went to my room to get ready for the day, it was gonna be a long one cuz we were starting the planning for our next big heist. I pulled on a pair of blue jeans and a white v-neck, with my leather jacket over it. It looked like an 80's greaser jacket in the sense that it had more pockets and zippers than an average jacket, but it was comfy and I liked the look. I grabbed two one-liter bottles of water from my fridge and added some energy drink mix, it was a cherry-flavored drink with a nice kick of caffeine. I walked out and down the stairs towards the armory to grab my gear, surprised to see Johnny there two, with Derek leaving hickeys on his back and shoulders.
"Get a room you two!" I shouted and shoved them out, Derek waited outside while Johnny came back in and started loading his bag, I set a couple of boxes of .500 JRH ammo and 1 box of .223 rifle ammo, my revolvers were at my hips, and rifle in the car, two BFR revolvers had enough stopping power for most, if not all things I was killing, and the rifle was my backup. Johnny was a rifle guy so he was piling box after box of 5.56 ammo into his bag, and with good reason, we were ambushing an arms deal out in Mesa, AZ and we were gonna be gone a couple of days, while the others were doing research and observation on El Oro, a bank south of San Antonio, Texas that was frequently used by drug cartels and rich douchebags.
"You ready to go?" He asked me as I put my drinks in my bag, he knew I was cuz I traveled light...well except for the bullets.
"Yep, let's get going!" I said as I left the room and gave a high five to Derek before leaving the area so he could wish Johnny good luck, probably not in a PG manner. I went over my directions with Ashley again so she knew what everyone was doing while I was out and that I knew where I was going. I pulled Johnny away from Derek before they started getting into porno territory, saying goodbye to each other with a kiss before we got into the garage.
"I swear y'all are at it more than rabbits!" I said as I got in the cab of Johnny's truck, we were taking his big rig because of how many cases of ammo that was supposed to be exchanging hands, but they wouldn't be, that ammo was ours now.
"Shut up, dude!" He shouted as we got on I-35 westbound, I pulled up my beanie and sunglasses and told Johnny I was gonna get some rest, to which he said he'd wake me up when we get to El Paso. I fell asleep in the cab and woke up in my plane of hell, Jack sitting there using souls in the pit as target practice.
"Having fun there?" I said as I grabbed a drink from our mini-fridge and threw a beer at his head, he caught it and set down his gun to drink.
"Yeah, it gets boring down here when I can't kill folks up top." He said after taking a drink, I got bored so I lit a fireball in my hand and threw it into the pit, igniting the thermite inside and creating a gigantic fireball, chuckling as we watched it Jack stood up and stretched his back before walking down onto the walkway around the pit, something was bugging him but I couldn't tell what it was. I followed after him after grabbing another beer, and met him at the archway in the middle, he was leaning over it watching the fountain pour more thermite into the pit like water.
"Somethings troublin' ya mate, what's goin' on?"
"N-nothing man, just annoyed..." he said crushing his can in his hand and throwing it at some guy that managed to crawl to the top of the pit, he almost got out but the can hit him in the back of the head, making him stumble and fall back in "gotcha ya bitch!" We both doubled over laughing so much it hurt.
"What's annoying ya? Mate fever?" He looked away and I knew the answer, even if we both lived in the same body and plane of hell, we weren't the same person, he was stronger and more confident all be it less intelligent, and I was the opposite, I was weak compared to him and as shy as a preschooler that got called cute by their crush, but I was extremely smart. I heard truck honks from above us so I patted him on the back, reassuring him that we'll find our mate sooner or later, and forced myself to wake up...just in time to see another big rig heading straight towards us with enough momentum to crush the truck into a tin can. I looked over to see Johnny was half asleep so I leaned over and slammed the wheel in the other direction, making us narrowly survive the situation but still damaging the trailer, I summoned Jack into the real world to possess Johnny, which he did, and pull us over. We pulled Johnny out of the driver's seat and I considered our options, Jack read on and we thought of a nice way to wake up our friend. Jack opened up the bed and pulled out the toolbox and set it down in front of me, I saw there was a ball gag inside it 'Lucifer's balls Johnny, you're into some kinky shit!' I thought as I put the gag in his mouth and tied it, Jack threw him over his shoulder while I got the steel chains and put the toolbox back in the bed of the truck. With a little bit of elbow grease and a lot of awkward movements from Johnny we successfully tied him down to the top of the bed, with the chains tied across his legs, torso, and arms and meeting underneath the bed in one spot. We closed the bed and Jack got in the driver's seat and started our path back to El Paso.
"We'll let him out when we stop to get food in El Paso, if he wakes up by then that is." He said and I pointed to the center console that showed a video feed of him on the roof from the camera I set up.
"When he wakes up, we get a front-row seat!" I said laughing, he opened a wormhole outside the truck to our plane of hell and grabbed a couple of sodas for us to drink, giving me one and closing the wormhole we calmed down from our practical jokes joke, we were assholes and we knew it. I slid a CD into the radio and pressed play, starting 21st Century Breakdown by Green Day. I skipped to the ninth track and "Peacemaker" started playing. We simultaneously counted up and sang the intro of the song. "One Two Three Four!" We sang as the song started and I played air guitar with a little bit of mocking from Jack. Twenty minutes later we were listening to "Static Age" and I looked at the dashboard and saw that Johnny had woken up and he looked like he was scared shitless. I laughed at him and pointed it out to Jack who started cackling, Johnny looked like had shit his pants at least a thousand times he was so scared, and after about forty-five minutes of laughing, we pulled into a gas station and we climbed on top of the bed and untied Johnny. We fueled up and truck while he took the ball gag out of his mouth and put it back in the tool chest with the chains. He approached us after we finished fueling the truck and socked me in the jaw.
"I deserve that" he then punched Jack "and he deserved that." We got in the cab and Johnny drove us all to a bar and grill-style joint called Shane's Burger House, and we got out, still listening to Johnny's ranting about how we were 'shitty friends' and 'terrible people'. We stretched and it felt like we hadn't walked in years, our legs were so stiff. Johnny walked in and after we finished stretching we walked in after him, the inside looked like a gang bar, with bar fights everywhere and poker games lining the bar itself, we got a booth and followed the waiter to where we sat, giving her our drink orders, Jack and I both ordered a beer with some cola, while Johnny ordered a Chardonnay and glass of water, causing us both to mutter "fuckin' poof" under our breaths, I took off my jacket and hung it on a coat rack when I was knocked to the ground by a bar fight. A tall, Hispanic looking woman was mauling the shit outta this guy and I almost felt bad for him...keyword almost, so I kept watching for a couple of minutes and when she got off of him I picked up the guy she was mauling and lugged him outside and threw him into oncoming traffic. I walked inside and was met by a series of laughter and when I asked why everyone was laughing, the woman that was mauling the guy I threw told me that I had just thrown the boss of the Texan Mafia into oncoming traffic, to which I responded with something honest, and calm.
"I. Couldn't. Give less of a fuck." I said and walked back to my booth, Jack, and Johnny laughing their asses off and they both gave me a high five after I sat down. Jack mocked the explosion using his hand and Johnny finished his Chardonnay, we ordered our food, I ordered a double bacon burger with ghost pepper ketchup and onions, Jack ordered a steak with fries, and Johnny ordered a bratwurst. While we waited for our food to arrive we started planning attack strategies for when we robbed the cartel, the entire time the Hispanic woman from earlier was glaring at us, it wasn't scary more just annoying and confusing as to why she was doing it, and if that wasn't enough Jack looked like there was a priest in the room, looking around panicky and tense. I kicked him under the table and gave him a look that said 'the fucks wrong with you?!' and he just rolled his eyes and avoided eye contact. Our food arrived and when I asked for the check, I like to pay for things early, the waitress said that our meal was already paid for.
"What?!" We all said simultaneously surprised, she nodded her head and pointed to the Hispanic woman who had mauled the guy I threw and said that she had paid for it, causing Jack to get all tense again, something was up with him and I was gonna find out what. I took a twenty and a ten out of my wallet and told her to give it to the woman and that if she tried to refuse then try again or keep it as a tip. When she walked over to give it to her the Hispanic woman shook her head and pointed back over at us, and after a small conversation, the waitress walked back over with a look of fear in her eyes, worse than the one in Jack's even.
"Sh-she said to give it back to you, and that the meal was on her, and that if you try to give it to her sh-she'll rip your throat out with her teeth." The waitress said through shaky breaths, I gave her the twenty and thanked her and although scared she left us to continue eating. I noticed that Johnny was now a bit on edge too, and that did it. I stood up and grabbed them both by the collar of their shirts and dragged them outside the restaurant until we were behind it and shoved them into the brick.
"I'm giving you both one answer each, and if someone doesn't answer my question I will ask her myself. Who. The fuck. Is she? And why. The fuck. Are y'all scared of her?" I said, my eyes glowing bright red, Jack's were too but he wasn't in power right now, I was too pissed off, they stammered a bit before Jack answered me, shaking a bit and trying to stay calm.
"A-Alexandria Muerte, S-she's the alpha of the Wolves of La Muerte pack," That explained why they were so scared, the Wolves of La Muerte were the most feared pack of werewolves in all of the States, but no demon o' my family was gonna chicken around a mutt.
"That doesn't explain why y'all are scared of her, y'all are demons." They both looked at each other, then me, then each other again, they both started laughing, doubled over as if it hurt to laugh that hard.
"We-we aren't scared of her, or at least I'm not, we just don't wanna cause trouble on her turf," Johnny said through laughs, Jack nodded his head as if he agreed with him, and so we went back inside and finished our food. The guys were back to their normal selves but Jack was still a bit on edge, I rolled my eyes and finished my burger while trying to brainstorm ideas as to why she paid for our food. I told the guys to leave the bar and they left and got in the cab to wait for me, I walked over to the alpha, shifting forms on my way there, and sat next to her and ordered a beer.
"Usually people don't approach me unless they got a death wish, what's your excuse?" She asked and I lowered my sunglasses to stare at her with empty eye sockets with balls of fire replacing my eyes, she didn't look fazed, but most wolves ain't.
"I ain't scared of a mutt for one, and for two I wanna know why ya paid for our food." The entire bar got quiet and I felt at least a hundred pairs of eyes on me, which I didn't like but I was too confused and angry to care, this mutt thinks she's stronger than death itself then she's wrong.
"I'd watch your tone, bitch, unless you wanna wake up with your flame permanently extinguished," Now I was pissed off, but I didn't want to have to kill more than one mutt if I could get away with it so I let it go, "as to why I paid for your food, it was to get your attention. This drug cartel you're going after has been causing trouble for my pack, so I appreciate you taking them out, but a word of warning. They're a Christian drug cartel, which means they'll most likely have Crosses with them, if not a bible and holy water. If you want some assistance, I'll be willing to give you some, but I want something in return."
"And that would be?"
"We can negotiate it later, talk soon, bitch." She said before leaving the bar, shifting to her wolf which had black fur and electric blue eyes. 'What the fuck was that?' I thought as I finished my beer and walked to the truck.
We had stopped at a motel a few hours later to sleep, you know the ones you wouldn't trust with anything but maybe a meth deal? Yeah, it was one of those shit holes. We pulled in and parked the truck in the back, and Jack summoned our dog, Jameson, he's a hell hound, to guard the truck. We got into our room and Johnny fell asleep instantly after falling on his bed, I grabbed a blanket and took off my jacket and used it, with a pillowcase, as a pillow so that Jack could use the other bed, and after thirty, give or take, minutes he passed out too. I couldn't sleep, it was midnight so I stood up, took my jacket out of the pillowcase, and threw it on before stepping outside for a walk, I locked the door and immediately felt a cold wind blow and make my face numb. I shifted forms so my entire body was ablaze, and I walked towards the truck to check on Jameson. When I got to the truck I saw that J was asleep with a dart in his ass, 'that can't be comfortable' I opened a portal to hell and c
When we got to Mesa, we stopped at a hotel and Nicki took out a map of Arizona, and we started talking about strategies for the attack on the cartel, and the base south of Phoenix. Jack and Johnny thought it would be a good idea to divide and conquer, the three of us take on the cartel, and Nicki and Jade start the fight with the Military, making sure not to kill too many, if any, of them while making their ways towards the trucks. Nicki and Jade thought it would be better if we worked as a unit, taking on the cartel, then storming the military base, killing anyone that got in the way of the trucks. I vetoed both ideas, they were both decent plans, but they both had their flaws that were pretty obvious."Priests...and tanks," I mentioned, I was tired and didn't want to spend more time in Mesa than I had to, so I drew a small battle plan. I'd call Alexandria and find out if she was serious about giving us a hand, and see what we could do from there. I stepped outside and told them to r
We met next to the cab and Johnny looked like he was about to pass out, so I did what any rational, logic-using, friend would do to help a panicked friend relax...I slapped him silly."Ow, OW, OWW! STOP!" He yelled after 3 slaps, and Jack chuckled beside me, looking at Alexandria in a way that made me want to talk to him later."You calm now, poof?""Yes, listen if you're serious about doing this, you have to be careful. Those hunters she was talking about? They're the most ruthless gang of demon hunters in the world, the leader has gone so far as to rape those he likes." That made Jack flare up, and I wasn't far behind him, rape was a sensitive subject for both of us, and we didn't let those that did it, or god forbid enjoyed it, get off with a warning. My hair and eyes were ablaze and I grabbed Johnny by the collar and told him to get home and fast, I told the rest of the gang to go back to the hotel, and that I'd meet up with them when I was done. When they left, Dylan and Mark had
"What do you mean you 'Got some help'?""You know Alexandria? Alpha of a certain well-known pack in the west?""Mhmm, I had a run-in with one of her yapping beanies babies a while back," Jack and I laughed at that, if you could only give Derek credit, for one thing, it was that he was good with insults."Yeah, she lent us a hand cuz we helped her out with something.""A raid?""Yeah, why?""That was my first guess, just keep your eyes on her, I don't want to hear about how y'all died on your way back here," Derek said and hung up, I mumbled something along the lines of Jack eyeing Alex whenever she isn't looking and got another sock to the jaw because of it."Shut up, cunt nugget.""Very original insult my friend, very original," I said and started eating my burger, just in time for the waitress to swing by with Jack's steak, she set the bill down and took my glass to refill my drink. We finished our food and I paid for the grub, remembering to tip thirty percent for her humor, and we
I woke up the next morning to see Jack sleeping on the floor and Alex staring off into space in the same place she fell asleep, I stood up and woke up Jay, Nicki, and Jade and told them to get dressed, I punched Jack awake before walking back outside and pulling our motorcycles out front. Jack walked out front with Alex and Jay behind him, Mark and Dylan came from their hotel room, with Mark's hair looking like a mess, and stood beside Alex. Jack told me that Nicki and Jade were getting dressed, Jay looked like he was only half awake so I signaled for him to come to where I was standing. When he got to where I was I told him to go sit on my motorcycle, pointing to which one was mine, and wait for everyone else to be ready. Dylan and Mark were talking to Alex, and judging from the glares she was giving them, they were making fun of her or something like that. Nicki and Jade walked out with Nicki blushing and Jade looking smug, and I did not need to know what they were doing in there, s
"The other day, Jack and I caught Alex stalking us," I said as I grabbed a beer from the cooler next to Lucifer, who was reloading his clip. He looked at me with anticipation, signaling for me to continue, so I explained JJ, the tank, and how Jack had watched Alex sleeping the other night. When I brought up Jack he started laughing, and I joined him after a while because it was pretty funny, a bit later we both calmed down and I finished the story. He honestly didn't seem that phased, he looked me up and down and shook his head chuckling."You're so oblivious, Jack a boy. Pull!" He yelled and another skull was launched, which he shot out of the air, raining shards of bone everywhere."Nice shot, but what do you mean Lucifer?""I can't tell you, man, all I know is you need to start paying attention to Alex if you want to find out what I'm seeing, and maybe what Jack is seeing. Pull!" He yelled and another skull was launched, which she shot down again before he put his shotgun down "Now
I throttled the engine to catch up with Jade, blaring a song we both like "Static Age" by Green Day, and when I did I played air guitar while riding my motorcycle kind of like a surfboard. Continuing down the road I passed Alex and for a second it looked like she was worried about me, I caught up to Jack and jumped onto the top of his truck, playing my real guitar along to the song, and from inside the truck, I heard Jack singing along. After a bit of doing that the song was over and I changed it to another song and plugged in my headphones, I wanted to have more fun, so I willed my bike over and jumped onto it, and started riding towards a mountain that was coming up on our right that made the road kind of like a canyon. Riding to the top of it I stopped at the peak of the mountain and took out a pair of binoculars, I saw Alex looking kind of worried and talking to someone over the radio, and I knew it was time. I jumped off the cliff and fell for a solid minute before I was twenty o
Approaching Lucifer's mansion, I heard the shooting of his gun and looked up to see skull shards falling around me 'Great~' I thought as I entered the elevator 'he wants to talk AND shoot great fun.' I exited the elevator, drink in hand, and took a seat adjacent from him as he reloaded his gun."So, you have fun chasing after your Alpha last night, Jakey?""I'm going to fucking slap you, asshat," I said standing up, he knew I hated being called Jakey because it wasn't intimidating at all, and it made me seem more of a bitch than I wanted people to think I was. He started laughing as he finished loading his clip and set down the gun as to not accidentally shoot me, I joined in because I knew I wasn't that intimidating so it was pretty funny. We simmered down after a while and he yelled at someone to throw another skull, and I got an idea, I took one of the skulls from the rack and grabbed his attention, he knew I wasn't gonna make this easy on him. I threw it at an angle, and with a fl
Jacke's POVAs I continued showing Pete around the basement, answering his questions as they came, I realized that I had come a long way since the times when I first placed these items here. If you had asked me a century ago if I would be willing to show this room to anyone outside my family, I would've choked you with your own hands for asking a stupid question. Yet, here I was, showing Pete these artifacts from my past as if I had known the man my whole life. We continued going through the room with many questions asked and answered, and finally arrived at the most recent artifacts I had stored down here."This is the sword that belonged to a nobleman I had killed a decade or so ago, he had a significant bounty on his head, and I was bored that day. I grabbed two of my family members, got in one of my trucks, and flew out to Europe; He had been abusing his money and political influence to further his ends, without any care in the world for how it had affected his 'subjects'," I said
Jacke's POVI woke up the next day with Alex holding on to me with an iron grip, it looks like I wasn't getting out the easy way this morning. I grabbed her hand and kissed it trying to loosen her grip on me so I could stand up and start my day, but she wouldn't budge. With a little struggle, I turned around to look her in the face as she started waking up."Pup, it's early, go back to sleep," She groaned when she saw me looking up at her with a stupid-looking grin, I knew it was early in the morning but I had way too much energy to just sit still."I don't want to go back to sleep though, I have too much energy to sit still, Alex," I said as I wiggled around trying to get free, to no avail. She wouldn't let me go as easy as she did yesterday, even if it were so she could sleep in."You're not getting up anytime soon, you're going to sit here and accept my love, Nerd. Besides, it'll be more peaceful for food if we let the morning crew get their grub first," She said as I cuddle back i
Alex's POVWe made our way back home hand-in-hand, cracking jokes and talking about what would change in Jacke's life now that he was my Luna. It wasn't anything groundbreaking, but he needed to know that he would need to be more careful about his lifestyle; Acting more in the shadows and not trying to cause a scene everywhere he went. He took it shockingly well, going so far as to explain that it wouldn't be difficult to make those kinds of changes with the decades upon decades worth of resources he'd built up."It won't be a drastic change, from the sounds of it, it would just mean that I'd have to do less of the leg work and live a more peaceful life by your side," He said squeezing my hand, and I would've been lying if I said that my heart didn't skip a beat."What did I ever do to deserve you, Pup?""Do I need to make a list? I think the most potent reason would probably be that you exist," He said chuckling as we made our way up the trail back home. It took a lot of willpower to
Jacke's POVAlex took hold of my hand as we left home to go out on a walk, and followed the trail leading to where we hoped to find Mallow still there. We walked hand in hand with my music playing on my phone, I was more or less pestering Alex into telling me what her 'surprise' was but she wouldn't budge. She insisted that she wasn't going to spoil the surprise no matter how many times I asked, and I took that as a personal challenge. So, I did what I do best, and tried to tease her with a small whimper, but that didn't do anything but make her smirk."You keep making those kinds of noises, and we'll see who's really in charge here, love," She said looking at me, smirking with a look on her face that screamed 'Test me'."You're lucky I love you, Alex," I said trying to ignore the blush that was creeping on my face. I don't know how she did this, taking the stone-cold attitude I usually had, only to cast that aside to reveal my shy side without any issues."You're right, I am quite lu
Alex's POVI woke up later than I usually do to notice two things seemed off: One, Jacke wasn't in my bed, and Two, It was peaceful and quiet. With everything that was going on something smelled fishy, so I got up, got dressed, and left our room to head downstairs. Pete was in the kitchen drinking a cup of coffee, so I grabbed one myself before taking a seat next to him."Morning, Alex, what's going on with you?""Have you seen Jacke? He wasn't in bed when I woke up," I asked before taking a sip of my coffee and trying to not let my nerves get the best of me."Jacke? Yeah, we had a conversation earlier about the speech before he left to go find Mason, I presume to have the same kind of conversation.""Fucking hell, have mercy on me I just woke up. Did the conversation at least go well with the two of you?""Oh yeah, I think it went phenomenally. He got straight to the point and was very kind, all-be-it concerned about having to give a speech to the pack as a whole. He told me about ho
Jacke's POVThe following morning I woke up early, at the crack of dawn, and got out of bed as carefully as I could to not wake Alex up and let her sleep in. I left the room and walked out and downstairs into the kitchen to see it was empty, leaving me all the room to make some food. We split and Jake took a seat while I grabbed a carton of eggs from the fridge, an onion, and a roll of ground sausage. Browning the sausage in one pan while I diced the onion to make some breakfast burritos, Jake sat staring into space deep in thought."What's on your mind, Bud?""Just thinking about how we're going to go about talking to Pete, and Alex's Beta. Pete seems like a nice dude, but I don't know how I'd be able to play nice with Alex's old bully," He said before I handed him a drink, "Thank you. I mean, is it just me? I feel like it's almost a test for us not to just deck the guy after what he put her through.""Under normal circumstances, I would agree with you one hundred percent, however, t
Jacke's POVWe descended the ladder into the cellar below with an empty jar, and once we got to the bottom Alex stood at the ladder to make sure no one else came in, while I made my way to the altar in the center. The ashes were still there in the pile that Lady Muerte had left them, and nothing had looked like it changed, but it was time for a change. I grabbed my knife from my coat and carefully moved the ashes from the alter into the jar, until there wasn't any left and twisted the lid on tight. I was going to take a trip later this week to the Gulf of Mexico and disperse the ashes into the water, symbolizing an end to our chapter of pain and suffering. That section of our life was over, and a new chapter was beginning to unfold before us, one with Alex by our side and a new family that was bigger and stronger than it had been before.I looked around the room and took in every last detail, from the chests full of coins we'd dug up over the years, to the racks of weaponry that we ne
Jacke's POVTo say I was anxious as we walked through the doors to see some of Alex's family members there would be a massive understatement, I didn't think I would've been asked to talk with them this soon, but I suppose it was better now than later. One of them walked forward to shake my hand and pulled me into one hell of a bear hug."It's about time we met you, Lad," He said before letting go, giving me room to breathe after he squeezed the wind out of me, "Alex has spoken quite highly of you, and rightfully so it would seem, as we're building our new home here. Allow me to introduce myself, I'm Pete, Alex's uncle and the one who more or less took her in after her parents passed.""Pete, I'm surprised you guys were waiting for us here, I thought we weren't to go through with the ceremony until later this week. You know, once we're done rebuilding and all?" Alex asked through a glare that would make most men shit themselves, but apparently, Uncle Pete had seen this glare before and
Alex's POVWe walked out the front door and out to watch as our families were hard at work, building back from the remains of La Bruja's damages, and building our new home bigger and sturdier. Nicki and Jade were working with my Beta to build a library due east of the center of town, Jacke made a note that 'Preserving the knowledge and history of the past, helps us to build a better and brighter future' before we continued onward towards the front of the town. They built a large gate for people to come in and out of, with a walkway and a driveway for trucks and cars, and as we passed by many of my packmates waved hello."Hey guys, good to see you back in action!" I said as we passed by, Jacke waved as we made our way to the garage.
