“What are the things she asked you to do?” David asked.

Mariane’s anger subsides after David explained that it was not his doing. And he believed him. After all, she knew David never lied… except for saying that he loves her.

“She didn’t give me the files I need to learn. She ordered me around. Do all the photocopying, buy them their food or drinks, deliver the files to other departments, and even clean up their mess. Sometimes she asked me to fix the files even if it was past my work time.”

“Is that the reason why you go home late?” David asked making Mariane nod.

“Yes,” she answered with her mind still confused about why the supervisor did that to her.

“John, call Miss Morgan,” David ordered.

Miss Martina Morgan was Mariane’s superior and the supervisor of the accounting department. She’s been working for five years, and it was the first time, David receives a complaint from their department. David couldn’t believe that Martina would do such a thing. What’s more… it was Mariane whom
