Unforgettable

Killian stared through Nixen's glass office walls at the beautiful lady with long blonde hair as she walked to her black 2023 Audi Q5, with a pretty little girl that looked almost exactly like her. He was certain she was the woman he had met at the Opera two years ago.

He looked the way her Olive green suit complimented her glowing, pale skin. Her lovely blonde hair was packed in a neat ponytail, highlighting her heart-shaped face.

His mind went to a night two years ago when he had held her body naked in his arms. He could still remember her exotic scent.

He had only feigned ignorance earlier because she seemed very uncomfortable with his presence, and Nixen seemed to have something for her. He didn't want to cause any problems. But he wasn't sure he could keep to that when it came to her.

How could he forget her? He had thought about her frequently in the past two years. He tracked her down and waited patiently for the right time to meet her. But he never found her. And after all this while, she had managed to find him again.

It had taken him a great deal of self-control to stop thinking about her, to forget the woman who had given a climax compared to none, the woman who had passionately called his name like it was her's, the woman who had explored his body, grabbing into him like a prized artefact. No one had ever held him that way.

She had left on him an impact no woman ever had. All these years, he had distanced himself from women, and seen them as gold diggers and time wasters, but with this gorgeous woman, it was different. She had an aura that drew him to her and left him defenceless.

Without thinking, he rushed out of Nixen's office, telling him a hasty goodbye.

When he reached the parking lot, she placed her little girl in the child's car seat, her eyes green eyes were soft a deep love as she talked to the child. It made him feel almost jealous.

“Mayeli?” He asked, unsure. He had heard the older lady in the boardroom call her that.

She turned to stare at him, surprise evident on her gorgeous face. The surprise was quickly replaced by apprehension.

She glanced at the pretty little girl she was holding.

“Baby, can you please wait for me in the car?”

She opened her car door, and carefully adjusted the little girl in the child car seat, before turning to face him.

“What do you want?” Killian could hear the hostility clear in her voice.

His eyes trailed her pulp and pink lower lips, and he felt his groin harden. Way to go, Killian, you've only been in her presence for two seconds, he chastised himself.

“Is the little girl yours?” He asked, ignoring her question.

“Yes”. She looked lovely when she was trying to be angry.

“She's so pretty, just like her mother”.

A blush crept to her lovely face before she quickly tucked it under a cold mask.

“Thank you”.

Her replies were curt and dismissing, but he wanted to talk to her forever, to never let her out of his sight.

“Did you forget me so easily?” His voice was sounding more emotional than he wanted.

She looked up at him, surprised at his words. Her white long neck tilted slightly like she was assessing him. He didn't mind running his lips over them right now.

“If you knew it was me, why then did you lie?” She asked.

“You didn't seem to want me to recognize you, back there”.

“Oh”.

He saw relief wash her features and he wondered why. He could never get tired of staring at her beautiful face.

“You left without a word saying a word”.

He ran his hands through his hair as he waited for her response. He knew he shouldn't be asking questions like this, but he wanted to keep her talking. To keep her from leaving. Right now, he was fighting the urge to close the gap between them and wrap his arms around her slim waist.

“I left a note. Besides, why are you asking this now? It's been two years already”. Her perfect brows raised slightly, waiting for his answer.

“Is her father Nixen?” He asked, referring to the child she was with. He didn't have the answer to her question, at least not now”.

“No”.

For a moment, her reply sent a wave of hope pulsing through his veins. Could she be his child?

“I see”.

“She's not yours either”.

He felt the hope wane, but a part of him felt she was lying to him. The look on her face told him his hunch was probably right.

“Is that so?” He teased.

“Yes. If you'd excuse me, I have somewhere to be with my child”.

With that, she got into her car and started the engine.

“How about lunch tomorrow?”

“I'd have to reject. Good night Killian.

Her rejection stung him. He couldn't remember the last time he had been told no by anyone.

Minutes after her car drove away, he stared aimlessly at the spot where her car had been parked. He was missing her already.

“He would get her again”, he vowed, walking back to the building.
