Chapter 5

                  The Unhappy Father.

As they entered the house they saw Li Songhai standing outside with an unhappy expression on his face.

Good day dad, how was your day Li Xinyi greeted him as she reached the door. Xinyi hope you enjoyed your outing , he asked? Yes I did dad. Dad why are you at home by this time of day, don't you have work in the office today? 

My dear, I am done with work today, so I will be eating lunch with you and your mom today he said.

That is so nice of you dad but I already had my lunch where we went but you can eat with mum since haven't eaten yet, Xinyi said. I will be in my room she said as soon as she changed into her indoor slippers.

As soon as she left, Li Songhai turned to Mu Min with an unhappy expression , the faked jovial expression was long gone.

Where did you go and why didn't you take the body guards with you? He asked .

Wherever I go to is none of your business, so you have no right to question me, Mu Min retorted, and for the body guards I was the one who asked them not to follow me. 

By going out alone , do you want Xinyi's identity to be known he asked.

That is none of your business, She said as she walked to the dining table.

I am still your husband Mu Min remember that even if it is an agreement between us, so I demand an explanation he said.

Thank God you still remember you are my husband just because of a mere agreement, she said as she walked to the dining table.

Please save this argument for later, I am hungry and moreover I don't want Xinyi to hear our conversation. We will talk later she said as she sat on the dining chair. Little did she know that Xinyi overheard everything they said .

At the dining table, the lunch between the husband and wife was eaten in silence. After the lunch she went to their room and was followed immediately by Li Songhai.

Now start explaining he said, but she ignored him and went to the bathroom to take her bath . When she came out, he was still there.

She changed her clothes and came out, then she said to him " Xinyi will be staying with my family for the time being" .Why ? He asked .

I want her to change environment, she replied nonchalantly. 

Is this place not good for her,my daughter is going no where he insisted .

Point of correction mister, she isn't your daughter she retorted , so I have the right to send her anywhere I wish.

She only know me as her father, he said or do you want me to tell her the whole truth about her birth.

You can go ahead if you want to see your company in ruins she said smiling at him. He was silenced by her threats but he soon recovered his composure .  " Are you threatening me he asked obviously not believing her.

Mr Li, I don't threaten people, rather I promise them she said  and for your information i am not asking for your permission rather I am just informing you she said.

He was now afraid for he knew how deadly Mu Min can be if angered. So he said , when is she leaving?.

Tomorrow she answered flatly.

OK, I will be going to her room to talk to her then he said.

You may go but I promise you if you say anything stupid to her , I will personally ruin your family and company.

He didn't say a word anymore as he left the room.

When he reached the door to Xinyi room he knocked at the door and waited until he heard " come in from the inside" 

As he entered, he saw her reading a book. Dad , she asked feigning surprised .

My dear Xinyi I heard you will be leaving your poor father alone by tomorrow he said feigning sadness.

Xinyi rolled her eyes internally and smiled, dad I won't be staying forever , I will still comeback she said.

How will your best friend and boyfriend visit you then he asked as if he was guninely worried but only heavens knows that it was because he wanted to be seeing his Fan Changchang everyday .

Dad don't worry, we will always meet at school.

Alright Xinyi always remember to be a good girl and don't forget to call Dad every day if you are less busy.

No problem dad, I will always call you. OK dad will be on his way now do have a good rest he said as he stood up and left the room.

She sighed and said " dad I will pay you back tenfold what you did to me and mum.

Just that minute she heard  her cell phone ring when she saw the caller she rolled her eyes when she saw the calling.

She picked the call and said hello, hello Xinyi, how have you been she heard the pretinous voice of Fan Changchang.

I am fine and you? She asked .

I am fine Xinyi , I will be coming to your house tomorrow. I missed aunty and uncle she said.

Sorry changchang, from tomorrow onward I will be at home we will only meet at school she said.

Were are you going xinyi , changchang asked

I will be staying with my mum maternal family from now on. Oh ,OK then tell uncle and aunty that I miss them so much.

I will, she said, Bye she said as she disconnected the call. My dear Changchang, you think I will give you the opportunity to come to our house always dream on she said.

Meanwhile at the other side, ChangChang will be seen atop Mo Yichen. What did she say Mo Yichen asked? The bitch said that she will be going to her maternal relations and she will be staying there for the time being. Oh that means we will only meet in school he said.

I won't be able to see my dad then she pouted.

Don't worry, he will always make time for you.

Yichen I can't wait for that vixen and her mother to be out of the way so that I can assume my main position as the heiress and your fiancee she said.   

Soon my dear our goal will be accomplished he said as he bent down to kiss her lips.
