Chapter 32

It was noon the next day, Ember and Payton sat in the living room waiting for Dr Lee to arrive. Axel's father left early in the morning because he had something that needed his attention at his company, but he promised that he was going to be back a little earlier than usual.

Ember was shaking in fear, the fear of knowing now that Dr Lee was the same doctor that tried to take advantage of her three years ago. This has been on her mind since the previous day. She only slept for two hours last night. She kept on thinking about everything, her heart was racing for almost the entire night. She was sweating, even though the air conditioner was on.

She tried telling herself that it was a different Dr Lee but she was not going to know until she looked at him properly, but even if he was that Dr Lee, who was she going to tell? Because it's not like they were going to believe her without solid proof. The police did not believe her either, so nobody was going to believe her now.
