73. Fighting Over a Girl
"You pervert!" Audre cried and tried to run off, but Aleks quickly grabbed her and hugged her.
"I'm sorry. I didn't mean to have a hard-on, I swear. But, that kiss was so hot my body reacted that way naturally," Aleks chuckled.
"It was?" Audre mumbled.
"Mhm...you are a really good kisser, curls," he said and kissed her forehead.
Audre's heart swelled with pride even though the compliment was coming from Aleks. She didn't have a lot of experience with guys thanks to her dad's strict rule of not dating, and Aleks stole her first kiss. So she didn't think she could initiate a kiss and be good at it.
But it felt good to take charge. She enjoyed the kiss immensely and wished it didn't end so soon.
"Well, I think you've been tortured enough for tonight. Let's get you back to your cabin." Aleks ruffled her hair and smiled.
He grabbed her hand, led her back to the cabin, and then stopped in front of the door.

Ansel paced back and forth, thinking about Audre. That girl was just supposed to be having fun, but now she got herself wrapped up with some boy. Audre was lying on her bed. Aleks was already gone and she tried not to break down and cry. Things weren't the same since Aleks left. Blair didn't bother her anymore, which was good, but she missed Aleks constantly teasing her and getting on her nerves. During her break, she sat outside by the river, sulking. She frowned as she saw Mitch approaching. Oh great...she thought. He was one of Blair's thugs who was most likely coming to harass her some more. "Hey Audre," Mitch said. He smiled awkwardly. "What?" It has been a few days since Aleks arrived at home and he was miserable. Audre's innocent face kept lingering in his mind. He missed her. Maybe he should sneak into the camp at night and secretly meet her. He shook the idea away from his head as it could cause more trouble for Audre. She seemed excited to work at the camp and the last thing he wanted was to get her kicked out too. "Peter! Dinner!" his mom Alicia called from downstairs.
