77. Meeting the Parents

It has been a few days since Aleks arrived at home and he was miserable. Audre's innocent face kept lingering in his mind. He missed her. Maybe he should sneak into the camp at night and secretly meet her.

He shook the idea away from his head as it could cause more trouble for Audre. She seemed excited to work at the camp and the last thing he wanted was to get her kicked out too.

"Peter! Dinner!" his mom Alicia called from downstairs.

"I told you to call me Aleks from now on," he said while coming down the stairs.

Alicia rolled her eyes. "Just because you think Aleks is a cooler name doesn't mean I have to change what I call you since you were a child. Now eat your breakfast."

"I am moving out!" Aleks announced.

"With what money? Do you have a secret stash of money you've been hiding? If that's the case, I want my cut," Alicia grinned.

Aleks chuckled and took a bite out of his toast.
