Jake ran a hand through his hair, feeling confused as hell.

Lucian wasn’t his son?

He furrowed his eyebrows and narrowed his eyes at the doctor. He said, “Doctor, I had a DNA test done from this same hospital. I have no doubt Lucian is my son. If he doesn’t have my blood group or Charlotte’s, I only expect him to be O negative or positive. So, where did the A positive come from?”

The knowledge he had from his biology classes in high school came in handy at that moment. There was no way his son would have a different blood group if his parents were both B-positive.

Jake knew what this could mean but he didn’t want to believe it. Charlotte was anything but a deceiver. She wouldn’t pin another man’s child on him… would she?

He shared a look with Quinn and the emotions she saw in his eyes made her stretch out her hand to hold his comfortingly.
