Chapter 183~ First word

Oliver and Julian went to a cafe. They ordered some coffee and settled in a private booth in the cafe.

They were silent for the first ten minutes. Oliver was waiting patiently for Julian to say what he wanted to talk about but as time went by, it was starting to get awkward.

Luckily, Oliver didn't have to wait anymore. He let out a sigh of relief when he heard Julian's voice.

“Do you still hate me?” Julian asked after he found the courage. Oliver was his son but the young man was intimidating. It was a bit difficult to start a conversation with him when he didn't know how he would react.

Julian's heart was racing against his ribcage as he awaited Oliver's response.

Oliver didn’t respond immediately. After a few seconds, he sighed and remarked, “If I hated you, I wouldn’t have allowed you to come close to my family.”

“So, why won’t you call me Dad? You always call me by my name,” Julian asked.

“Do you deserve that title?” Oliver questioned, narrowing his eyes at the old man.
