A few days passed, but neither of the Alphas urged Emma to share the vision. They gave her ample opportunity to adjust to the pack and acclimatize to the new environment.
It was only a week later that Theo came knocking on the Alphas’ door. Emma trailed behind him. She looked better, and her face had become rounder, more like a doll. Her curious eyes were filled with mirth.
“Leader Steven and Alpha Amelia, allow me to share the vision with you.” Emma politely bowed as she greeted and revealed the purpose of her visit. Both the Alphas gave her their utmost attention.
“I will leave her to your care, then.” Theo bowed and left the room to give them some privacy. He had no intentions of listening to their conversation.
The Alphas faced Emma and became ready to listen to her words. But Emma didn’t utter anything. Instead, she stepped forward and raised both her hands in the direction of the Alpha siblings.
Both Amelia and Steven grabbed each
Amelia’s eyes widened at the cruel words coming out of the seemingly pure girl. Eat…eat the heart while it was still beating?“How?” Steven tried to avoid the discomfort and asked once again.“My parents were healers. It is possible to make cuts on the chest, tear the skin, and gnaw at the heart while it is still warm and shallowly beating.” Emma had an awkward expression as she explained the process. It sounded cruel and inhumane but it was possible.“Hmm, so the vision, is it really the future?” Amelia swallowed hard and shifted her focus to the other important aspects.“If everything goes as it should, without anyone changing anything, this vision most probably would come true.” Emma nodded her head as she slowly thought of the feasibility of the vision.“And how far is this future? I mean, when will the vision come true?” Steven furrowed his eyebrows while questioning.“Emma, that is the problem. I don’t know. The futu
“How is that possible?” Amelia’s eyes widened in shock.Steven looked at her expression and felt a little satisfied. At least his sister could feel his wounded heart. She must be feeling sad for him right now.He felt happy for Theo, his Gamma, but he also felt aggrieved. His Gamma, Theo was about to get married. His Beta, Liam was already a father to a 10 year old adorable boy. His Alpha sister too, was pregnant and would be giving birth soon. But he, the Leader? He neither had a mate nor a baby. Why was his fate so dry?Contrary to Steven’s beliefs, Amelia had different thoughts running in her mind. Two days? Would that be enough for all the preparations? It seemed unlikely. The last marriage they hosted was of Liam, almost a decade ago. They needed to make it grand and beautiful! After all both Theo and Emma were so pretty! How could a shabby marriage do them justice? They needed colors, sparkles, cakes, a lavish feast, wine, and so many o
Emma tried her best to hide away the change in expressions, but everyone on the stage could see it clearly. Theo even had a frown. Emma smiled weakly, brushing away it casually.Emma looked fine after a few seconds. Since it wasn’t the right moment, they decided to ignore it. Congratulations flooded and people became busy eating and dancing. Everybody was having the time of their life. The couple cut the cake and then they went to eat a celebratory dinner. The party continued till dawn. And then, one after the other, everybody left to have some rest and the festivities were wrapped up properly. After eating, Steven pulled out the gift for the newlyweds. It was a key. Theo looked at the key in a daze. The old fashioned key was eerily familiar to Theo.“Yes, it’s the same house.” Steven smiled slightly at Theo’s surprised look. The house was actually a mansion with a separate lush forest area. It had a dome shaped glass structure which allowed its in
Life came back to the tracks of ordinary routine for everybody after the break of celebration. Liam was busy making arrangements for the newly acquired Midnight Pack.Steven was busy checking out the files. He also busied himself on sending undercover officers on the trail of the Scarlett witch and the black Alpha wolf.Amelia busied herself with teaching the new batch of trainees. She barely fought or changed into Zenia, but her insight was enough to improve the strategies for the trainees.Amelia was almost two months pregnant now and her belly was starting to appear. For safety and privacy concerns, it was decided to keep her pregnancy under wraps. Silver Crescent pack was powerful but they had made many enemies along the way. Steven and Amelia didn’t want to take any chances.Zenia refused to come out, but she kept nagging and howling in Amelia’s mind. Thanks to Zenia’s incessant care and advice, Amelia ate plenty, rested plenty, and always tried to r
Amelia’s eyes widened in horror and everything around her stilled. Her heart refused to believe that the blood soaked man in front of her was the neat and clean successor of the huge Williams’ Empire! She felt as if she was in a trance. Her sudden arrival took everyone by surprise. Even the wolves stopped and stared at her for a while. Amelia couldn’t make heads or tails of the situation. Was it really Kieth? Why were wolves attacking him? These were rogues, Amelia could tell at a glance. But how could rogues cross the barrier of the human city? The passage could only be operated by the guards of the Wolf Association! What the hell was going on?Amelia felt bewildered and lost until a bubbling sensation of mirth sprouted in her heart. She knew it wasn't her own emotions. She looked straight at the man lying on the ground. Kieth was staring at her and he was feeling happy? Before Amelia could understand anything, the rogues sprang back into action
Kieth was in denial. He almost believed that it was all his dream, but the pain in his body was jabbing him awake. He kept looking at the huge white wolf attacking and suppressing the other wolves. His bleeding hand gripped the taser more tightly. What the hell was happening? The growls, whimpers, howls, and sharp noises filled his entirety. His estate was in a more secluded place. He had no neighbours and all the staff was slowly thrown out of the mansion a long time ago. He was living here alone. He wanted to call out for help, but his phone was broken in the tussle. He saw the bewitching fight between the white wolf and the other wolves. The white wolf definitely had the upper hand, but her actions were becoming slower and slower. From dominating the fight to barely managing, Kieth saw it all. He was still in denial. The wolf that fought viciously definitely wasn’t his soft and coquettish Amelia. All this was a bizarre dream.“Run, I can’t h
Something shattered inside Kieth. Something broke free completely. Before he could understand anything, the darkness consumed his sight and he lost consciousness. When Kieth woke up again, he found himself lying naked on the ground. Even stirring a little made him wince in pain. There was hardly any place on his body that didn’t hurt. With difficulty, he turned around. Next to him was an equally naked Amelia. His pupils dilated with shock and despite the pain, he instinctively raised his fingers to check her breathing.Though shallow, she was still breathing. Tracing the slightly heaving chest made him a little relieved. He looked around and found the motionless bodies of countless wolves.Wolves? Something whipped past Kieth’s memory and the image of a pristine, white, humongous wolf jumped, taking the core. A faint headache bubbled inside his head.Kieth furrowed his eyebrows and found a tattered shirt to cover her. As soon as the cloth clung to
