Chapter 21 Emma
“Mate?” The girl tilted her head and curiously stared at the man. He had soft features and a clean bearing. He was, by far, the most beautiful man she had ever seen.
As she looked at Theo, the machine attached to her started beeping loudly. Realizing what Amelia had said about the machine, all color drained from her face. Did she lie? Wasn’t he the mate? Was she going to be electrocuted?
Her eyes widened in alarm as a pool of mist appeared in her eyes. She looked pleadingly at the Alphas. When Amelia saw her fearful expressions, she became dazed. She felt as if she was a big bad person bullying a child!
