Slap!

A resounding slap landed on Stella Radomil’s face.

"What do you mean you’ve divorced Shawn? Have you forgotten he has been the one helping this family financially. How are you going to pay your father’s medical bills then. Are you giving me all the responsibility now?” Estella threw.

Holding her left cheek, Stella looked at her stepmother angrily. “I told you Shawn was cheating on me and all you can think about is money. Do you even care about me one bit. How will you feel if your daughter had to go through the same thing in her marriage. But I’ve had enough, I’ve divorced him and there’s no way I’m going back to him.”

Estella then gave an ultimatum to her stepdaughter. “You can see that our company is in bankruptcy and because of what you’ve done, we might lose all we’ve worked so hard for over the years. It is now your choice to get married to Clarence Conrad  or clear out the debts we’re holding. The choice is yours.”

Stella smiled coldly after hearing that. “You’re pushing me to marry a man who is crippled because you can’t bear the thought of your daughter doing the same? And you’re just doing all this just because you want money? Well, keep dreaming if you think you can threaten me like that.”

“So you’re not going to agree to the marriage then?” Estella raised her voice and pointed at her . “Then I’ll end your father’s treatment. We don’t have much money left, so I might as well save the little we have for your sister’s dowry rather than lavish it on your dying father. And need I remind you that I’m still his wife and has the authority to stop his treatment.”

“How dare you..”

“Hump! If you want to see your father alive, then agree to the arranged marriage between you and Clarence Conrad . Moreover you are divorced now, I don’t see a big deal about that.”

Stella’s expression turned cold almost to tears and she walked without uttering any more words. She knew Estella was a greedy woman who would do anything to make money, and now she was using her as the scapegoat.

Stella knew she had to find a way to make money as soon as possible because she could not agree to the arranged marriage. As she walked upstairs to her room, she took out her cell phone from her bag and called her ex-husband, Shawn, because she felt that he might be able to help her out. Moreover, Shawn was very wealthy.

However she did not expect Shawn’s familiar ringtone to blared from a nearby bedroom. Stella   thought she had misheard the ringtone because Shawn could not be here, much less in her step sister’s room.

Stella was still in doubt when she heard Jenna’s voice, “It’s Stella calling Shawn. It might be something urgent, aren’t you going to answer it?”

“Who cares about that fool. She has never allowed me to touch her in our three years of marriage, so I guess she’s a lesbian. Compared to you, you’re very pretty, and satisfy me well. I keep falling all over for you. Now that Stella and I are divorced, I can’t wait to make you mine. I’m going to have lots of fun with you.” Shawn said, kissing Jenna.

“Stop, you’re so naughty.”

“You know I just got married to her so I could get close to you. And that was the biggest mistake I made marrying her. But now, I crave your touch.”

“Am blushing Shawn. I can’t wait to be all yours too.” Jenna  said as they continue their romance.

While standing outside, Stella felt a blow to her face. Her head was buzzing and whatever hope she had in Shawn helping her turned around in this instant.

So the person Shawn had been cheating on her with was no other than her stepsister. So she had been a big fool to have believed that Shawn had loved her for three years.

Stella   closed her eyes tightly as the loud and lustful echoes of passion intensified from inside the room. Alas, she was unable to stop the tears from sliding down her cheeks.

There were rumors that Clarence Conrad  , the first son and young master of the Conrad’ family was a crippled  man. He got into an accident and because of this reason, he was render useless. He was unable to find a wife because no woman was ready to settle down with a useless man like him.

However, when Estella heard that the Conrad’ family was looking for a wife for Clarence   in exchange of financial gains, she immediately decided her daughter was going to marry him, however it was at that time that Stella came back home. So Estella decided Stella  would get married to Clarence  instead since she was already divorced.

Stella wiped her tears aggressively. She then opened her tightly shut eyes to reveal an icy cold stare. She had been too naive. For years, she endured bullying from her stepmother and stepsister for her father’s sake. She even believed every single lie that came out of her sweet-talking ex-husband’s mouth.

At that moment, she decided that she would no longer allow anyone take advantage of her again.

She dialed Estella’s number. “I’ll marry Clarence Conrad. However on one condition”

“Which is?” Estella asked.

“We will sign an agreement that states this will be my way of helping dad. Also, I won’t have anything to do with this family anymore after my marriage.”

There were silence on the other end but after a while Estella chuckled and said, “what choice do I have if I don’t agree. Okay fine, accepted.”

After that the call was disconnected.

The wedding ceremony was held two days later.

Stella  was alone at the wedding, and as she walked down the aisle with her face covered with a white veil, she swore to become untouchable from that day on. So untouchable that no one could mess with her again.
