2021-04-03 05:35:42“Cassie!” I peeked over Mikey’s shoulder and saw Ava out and waiting for me. She was scowling at Mikey, and not approving what I was doing. For all we know, he was a possible cheater. I had yet to see if he was telling the truth. Ava looked at me with a ‘what the hell are you doing talking to him look?’ clear on her face. I knew that I had some explaining to do on the way back to the dorm.
My phone dinged and then started ringing drawing my attention from her. Picking it up, “Hello?” I greeted, taking a step back from Mikey after seeing how close we were.
“Hi! This is Bob, your uber driver. I just pulled up to the hotel.” I looked at the car waiting for us, that matched the car on the app and spotted him stepping out.
“Okay. I’ll be right there,” I replied right before hanging up. I looked at Mikey, “I have to go.”
