Harper's Pov

It was one peaceful and calming day. Killian was all laid on his stomach on the bed, reading a book about business and strategies. I never opened that book nor even one of his books. Not that I don't care, I just really don't understand any word in it. It's like written exclusively for the geniuses only. And touching that just makes me feel dumber so yeah, I don't dare.

I was laying along with Killian, my head was resting on his back while I read a children's book. Well, I'm not really reading, I'm just looking at the pictures printed on it.

And yeah, it was this one fine day when something popped in my head.

"Hey, Killian,"

"Hm?" He replied, flipping the pages of his book.

"You have parents, right?"

"Yes."

"And they're still alive, right?"

"Yes."

I sat up straight, thinking how I forget such a very important matter.
