Back in the Times Part 2

-Killian and Harper in Another Time Frame-

“Harper.”

Late at the afternoon her mother came back from the market. She did not do her usual chores, nor ask if the piglets had already eaten, nor reprimand Harper for being dirty again.

She just went straight at Harper who was sitting and quietly weaving a scarf. Her mother wore an expression so frightening the little girl could not respond for a second.

“Y-yes, mother?”

“Those boys,” She pointed outside from their door, her eyes bloodshot and glaring intently at her. “did you do that to them?”

Her chest started to pound heavily. She knew what her mother is asking. And she knew that if she say yes she would be in huge trouble.

“W-what do you mean, mothe-“

“HARPER, DID YOU HURT THOSE BOYS WITH YOUR STUPID INSECTS?”

Her mother’s voice roared so loud inside the house it made her flinch in terror. She was not the type to yell for she value basic ettiquetes for women so much. It was the first time in fifteen years Harper heard her mother raisin
