LAURA'S POV

I did not get a word from Mr. Finch throughout the weekend, which was quite disappointing. But then, I was happy about it because the man always finds a way to disturb my weekend with his long line of work to keep me busy.

After our encounter, he hasn't texted or called to give me a workload. I used to feel like the man was an enemy of my peace of mind. That night, after dinner, Kora left for her place because her boyfriend was around, and she didn't want him to sleep alone.

The weekend was spent doing house chores, shopping for groceries, and watching new episodes of my favourite TV shows.

I hissed in frustration. How I hate Monday mornings. Aside from the fact that I'm not a morning person, it provokes the living daylights out of me that I have to wake up to another hectic day at the office.
