Luveas was returning to the garden bedroom when he noticed Amethyst’s silhouette at the window. But the silhouette hurried away upon his sight. He halted in his tracks. He felt a pang in his chest but he couldn’t quite explain what it was. Then, he remembered she had not eaten anything since he took her home and the attempt to feed her was to no avail.Inhaling deeply, Luveas turned on his heels and left.
