 Alex house

" Really! Your aunt invited me for dinner and Ryan is coming too" Alex asked excitedly

        

 " Hmm, but not only you okay your brother as well" Patricia said. Alex stood up and twirled around.

        

" Yes! Yes! Yes!" She squealed happily making Patricia chuckle

        

" Are you that happy? You're behaving as if you haven't met my aunt before"

        

" Well it's been long since I saw her and besides Ryan is coming doesn't it mean something " Alex said and Patricia raised an eyebrow

        

" Huh? What does it mean?" She asked and Alex sat down

        

" She invited me to a family dinner which she has never done before and... Ryan is going to be there that means...she must be planning to set us up ahhhh!" She shouted excitedly covering her face with her hands.

        

" I don't think so, you shouldn't get your hopes up Alex what if you're wrong" Patricia said but she shaked her head

        

" No am right it got be, am sure of it...I better order a new dress" she picked her phone typing away, Patricia just nodded looking around.

        

 " Looks like your brother isn't here today" 

        

 " Hmm, he went to Ryan's place last night" Alex answered still typing on her phone. Patricia nodded.

        

"Soo...is he going to come?" She asked

        

" Hmm, am sure he'll since Ryan will be there" Alex answered and she smiled

        

" Have you seen any cute dresses yet, order one for me too" she said smiling.

*Hospital 🏥🚑🚑        

* " Gosh it's taking too long" lily muttered. They have been waiting for five hours now. Just then the doctor came out and they rushed to him immediately.

        

    " Doctor! Doctor!...is the surgery over?" Lilly asked

        

  " Is my mom alright, was the surgery a success?" Emily butt in

" Please calm down girls and let me talk...yes the surgery is over" the doctor answered with a pause

" And?" Emily asked and they stared at the doctor anxiously

        

" It was successful, the surgery was a success" he said finally with a smile and their heart came down with relief.

        

" Oh my goodness!" Lily exclaimed as tears of joy dropped from her eyes. Emily hugged her, she too crying.

        

" She'll be taking to the intensive care unit and be monitored till she regain consciousness"

        

 " Ok but can we see her now?" Emily asked

        

" Am afraid not yet, she needs absolutely rest and can't be distributed...I suggest you go home and come back tomorrow"

        

 " Okay thank you doctor thank you so much" she thanked him

        

 " It's my job no need to thank me, thank your mother because she's the one who fought the real battle" he said and the sisters smiled

        

" Please excuse me I'll be going now" he said and left.

        

 " Oh am so happy Emily, mum made it!" Lily said and hugged Emily again.

        

  " I'll call Landon now, he's been calling since morning to find out what happened" lily said and took her phone.

        

 " Yeah do that am sure he was worried sick" Emily sighed.

        

 " Hello Landon, it was a success...yes mum's..." Lily kept talking to Landon while Emily sat down.

        

        * Thank you mum for coming back to us* she thought happily.

* Thompson Mansion

        

Mrs. Maria stood in the grand dining room, surveying the scene before her. She turned to the maids, who were busily setting the table

. "Make sure the silverware is polished, and the glasses are spotless. Ryan is particularly fond of the crystal wine glasses."

She turned to the chef,

    "And, Jenkins, have you prepared Ryan's favorite dishes? The filet mignon, roasted to perfection, and the truffled mashed potatoes?"

Jenkins nodded, "Yes, ma'am. Everything is ready, just as you requested."

Mrs. Maria nodded, satisfied. She turned to admire her reflection in the mirror. She was wearing a stunning emerald green gown, its silk fabric draping elegantly across her curves. The gown was floor-length, with a subtle train and delicate lace trim. The color brought out the sparkle in her eyes and complemented her fair skin. Around her neck, she wore a delicate diamond necklace, adding to her overall radiance.

 . "Very well, let's get everything ready. Ryan and our guests will be here soon."

        

" Yes ma'am" the maids answered and continued thier work. .

     

Patricia came downstairs, her eyes widening as she took in the elegant scene before her

. "Wow, everything looks amazing aunt Maria!" she exclaimed. She walked over to her aunt, giving her a warm hug.

         "You're absolutely impressive, as always. And you look stunning! That gown is gorgeous on you, and you look even younger"

Mrs. Maria blushed, pleased by the compliment. "Thank you, dear. I'm just trying to make a good impression for Ryan you know it's been long since I saw him"

Patricia smiled. "Well, you're definitely succeeding. I'm sure Ryan will be blown away by the spread and by how beautiful you look."

Mrs. Maria smiled. "Thank you, sweetie and You're looking particularly beautiful tonight, dear. And I must say, you seem even more excited for dinner than I am!"

Patricia's cheeks flushed slightly as she smiled. "Oh, come on, Aunt! I'm just excited to see my cousin - it's been too long since we last caught up."

 "Hmmm, are you sure that's the only reason? You're not secretly thrilled to see Ethan's handsome face again, are you?" Mrs maria teased and she laughed, her eyes sparkling with mirth. "Aunt Maria, stop it! You're making me blush. I'm just happy to see my cousin, that's all."

Mrs. Maria chuckled, her expression playful. "Well, whatever the reason, you look lovely tonight, dear. And I'm sure Ryan will be delighted to see you too."

        

Just as Patricia was laughing at her aunt's teasing, the doorbell rang .

         "Ah, that must be Alex!" Patricia said and rushed to the door.

     Alex was indeed a vision of elegance. Her brown hair was styled in a sleek updo, and her wined coloured dress complemented her skin perfectly. Her bright smile and sparkling eyes added to her radiant appearance.

"Good evening everyone!" Alex exclaimed, her voice bubbly as she hugged Patricia and kissed Mrs. Maria's cheek. "Sorry I'm a bit late. Traffic was a nightmare."

 "Nonsense, dear. You're right on time. Come, let's get seated Ryan will Soon be here ."

Alex nodded and took her seat beside Patricia, Mr Lucas Ryan's father entered the dinning hall and sat down at the head of the table. Alex greeted him but he answered with a nod.

       

 " Where's Ryan? Isn't he here yet?" He asked with a frown

        

" Be patient dear am sure he's on his way" Mrs maria said with a smile. Just then Ryan entered with Ethan by his side, Alex's eyes locked onto him, her gaze transfixed by his chiseled features and piercing blue eyes. She couldn't help but stare, her heart skipping a beat as he came closer 

Meanwhile, Patricia's attention was captivated by Ethan, his tall, broad-shouldered frame and strong jawline leaving her breathless. She couldn't tear her eyes away, her cheeks flushing with a subtle blush.

 " Good evening dad" Ryan greeted and Mr Lucas answered with a nod. Mrs. Maria, on the other hand, was overjoyed to see her son. She stood up, her eyes shining with warmth, and enveloped Ryan in a tight hug.

"I've missed you so much, dear!" she exclaimed, kissing his cheek.

 "Hi, Mom. Good to see you too." He greeted, his tone reserved and he took his seat beside her. 

Meanwhile, Ethan greeted Mr. and Mrs. Thompson with a charming smile before sitting down beside Ryan.

As they sat down to eat, Mrs. Maria kept talking happily to Ryan, telling him about the places she had visited. But Ryan didn't answer her, just continued eating.

Mr. Lucas cleared his throat 

      "How's the company doing, Ryan? Have the scandal issues been resolved totally?"

, "Yes, it has. The media people were just looking for ways to make money out of it. They knew they got nothing on me, so they made a huge fuss about that matter." Ryan answered

Mr. Lucas nodded,

   "Hmm, there's one rumor that is bothering me though... It's about you being gay."

The room fell silent, with all eyes on Mr. Lucas and Ryan.

Ryan remained calm, but his voice was firm. "Dad, what are you talking about? I'm not gay..."

        

" Yes and we have to prove that." He cut him off.

        

" I've been thinking and I've already concluded the matter. You should get married to Alex." He dropped the bombshell and everyone's eyes widened immediately.

        

" What!..."
