There was no slowing down after that. Larissa didn’t want to. Miguel didn’t want to.

Soon she was lying on the bed and her wedding gown was hunched around her thighs.

She wanted to peel her stockings away and every other thing on her body. Those were the things Miguel’s hands were making her think of.

He hovered above her, moving his lips to her neck and collarbone, devouring her face with his eyes tightly shut.

Larissa couldn’t look at him long enough. She couldn't concentrate.

He pushed the strap of her gown away with one movement.

Miguel got up to remove his shirt. Larissa knew what to do to her gown.

She was about to take the stockings off when he stopped her.

“Leave it on for me.” He climbed over her and picked her leg up.

He kissed a trail from her knee to her stomach, then draped her legs over his waist.

They were both naked, burning for one another. It ached so bad Larissa thought she would go crazy.

Miguel kissed her lips before she could say anything. What would she even say?

Words were far from her. She whimpered and sighed. Moaned and bit down on some moans.

He nibbled around her neck and Larissa clung to him.

She hoped he would take her already. The wait was driving her mad.

Miguel moved his lips to her neck before he lined himself over her sensual spot.

“Have you ever…”

“No,” Larissa answered Miguel’s question before he could complete it. “I’ve never been with any man.”

Miguel was laughing softly at his next question. “Have you been with a woman?”

“No!” Larissa found herself laughing too and it died into a loud cry.

He’d only teased her a little with his length.

“This is going to hurt. The good thing is you can hurt me too.” Miguel said to her. “Plant your nails on my back and press down with me, okay?”

Larissa nodded. Her stomach was in knots and her heart stood still. She waited in newfound fear.

Miguel didn’t lie. She wasn’t ready for the pain that followed and she shut her eyes, bit back the scream, and pressed so hard she forgot it was his skin beneath her nails.

He kissed her lips almost immediately and the pain started to ease away.

It took time and he distracted her long enough until she was holding on to him from pure pleasure.

When he leaned back, he was smiling at her and his gaze was dark.

He excited her and he took her nipple in his mouth.

Larissa threw her head back and her black strands of hair fell around the pillow, dark raven feathers above white sheets.

She had never felt this good before.

It didn’t matter that Miguel was her husband, this still felt like a sin.

A delicious sin that Larissa was going to indulge in over and over again.

***

Miguel and Larissa didn’t sleep much after that. They ended up tangled in each other’s limbs at least four times after that.

Larissa had lost count but the next morning, she woke up to someone knocking on their hotel door.

There was water running from the bathroom.

Miguel was taking a shower and someone was outside their door.

Larissa wrapped the sheets around her tired body and opened the door.

Angel stood with a uniformed lady. On the lady’s right breast pocket, the name of the hotel was written in an italicized font. Lorena Stays.

“She brought breakfast. Is Mr. Sebastian around?” Angela asked, keeping a straight face.

His head was bald and his voice was deep and hoarse. Larissa didn’t want to imagine what he was capable of.

She stepped aside so the lady could wheel in their food.

“Yeah—“

“Babe?” Miguel was out of the bathroom.

He saw room service and noticed his door was open.

He went to meet Larissa with only his towel tied around his waist.

As soon as Larissa saw him, her legs gave away.

She held onto the doorknob to keep herself from falling.

Mentally, she had fallen for him. Completely.

Miguel pulled her to him and kissed the side of her forehead. “You can start eating, I’ll join you in a minute.” He tipped her chin and kissed her on her lips too.

Larissa made it back to the bed in one piece. She decided to shower before eating.

When she was done, she joined Miguel who was dressed and waiting for her.

“Angela brought a new gown for you,” Miguel explained, “You can change to it after eating then we can be on our way home. How does that sound?”

Perfect. It sounded perfect.

***

The ride to Larissa’s new home took up to thirty minutes. The compound was large, with a patch of greenery and some other beautiful flowers growing neatly.

The house was a mansion, bigger than what she had back home. And it wasn’t only one building.

From where Larissa was, she could see four other buildings down the road.

There was a white fence and it disappeared along the way, showing just how large the compound was.

Larissa had to ask if this was all hers now. She didn’t think one man could live here alone.

That’s when she remembered the news about the crash. Somewhere between making love and having bursts of pleasures, she had forgotten to ask her question.

He did say she was his family now.

Larissa knew the story of the crash was probably true. Her heart softened for him.

She couldn’t imagine what he had gone through.

Miguel walked over to her and she gingerly took his hands.

He led her into the house, answering the greetings from his staff.

Of course a lot of people would be needed to keep this place running. They greeted her too, calling her Mrs. Sebastian.

Larissa smiled at all of them, replying in a soft voice to those she wanted to answer.

The theme color of their uniform was black. Gowns for the ladies and button down shirts and pants for the men.

“Serena, take my wife to our room,” Miguel said to one of his staff. Then to Larissa, he said, “I’ll be up in a minute.”

Serena stepped out from the line and Larissa followed her.

She hated leaving Miguel but she comforted herself with the fact that they had a lifetime together.

Serena walked briskly in front of her, turning back occasionally to speak.

“The master’s bedroom is on the top floor. There’s a balcony that overlooks the compound. I’m sure you’ll love it.”

“Thank you, Serena,” Larissa said.

“The former Mrs. preferred bright, shiny sheets, even though Mr. Sebastian detested them.”

“You mean Miguel’s mother?” Larissa asked, her curiosity piqued. Maybe she could learn something about Miguel from Serena.

“Oh no. I mean his other wife. Mrs. Cali Sebastian.”

Larissa froze mid-step. The shock hit her like a wave.

“Miguel has been married before?”

“Yes.” Serena stopped walking too, her expression shifting to one of mild pity. “He didn’t tell you?”

Larissa felt her stomach churn, a mix of embarrassment and anger bubbling inside her. She felt sick.

“No, Serena. He didn’t tell me,” she snapped, though the anger wasn’t directed at Serena—it was Miguel who had lied.

“Oh. They’ve been separated for a long time, but she continued to live with him. He—”

“Wait.” Larissa cut her off, her voice rising in apprehension. “She’s in this house? She’s here?!”

She hoped it was some kind of cruel joke. It had to be.
