The next morning I was on edge. What we are doing is tricky and anything could go wrong. I am too far along pregnant to easily fight back and that makes me anxious.
“Don’t worry love, we are not going far. Mason and I are going to go into the woods and meet up with Alpha Bryce’s warriors. We will be watching you the whole time.”
“That doesn’t make me feel any better.”
“I know love. The boys and Akila will be with you. Stay near them. Don’t wander away. Promise me?”
“I promise Avery.”
Avery grabs his bags and we head downstairs. Mason is already downstairs with Akila in his arms. I can tell she is nervous about what is to come. Anyone can make a decision that’ll change the outcome of what we want.
“Stay alert. This attack can happen any moment.”
“We will Avery. I wont’ leave her side,” says Akila.

There are so many rogues that their stench is covering the scent of Red Moon wolves, but I know they are here. Haley When I wake up I sit up in a panic. I feel the familiar sparks traveling up my arm and see Avery is a sleeping with his head on the bed while holding my hand.
