Alpha Avery
We have never seen Akila have a vision before. She says she can summon them whenever she wants but chooses not to. Seeing the future can be a scary thing. Sometimes though, she says when it involves her safety, a vision is pushed through and she has no choice but to watch. Something about a safety measure from the moon goddess to protect her children.
Haley has left the office for the kitchen. She is hungry again and it makes me chuckle. When she first got here she ate like a bird, now she has the appetite of a wolf and those pups are helping her. I am happy to see her healthy and glowing while growing our pups. I hate to fight with her, even if it’s pretend.
I head to the kitchen and find her eating celery sticks filled with peanut butter. I find that gross but I won't question pregnancy cravings.
“Hello love.”
She smiles brightly at me and leans into my e
HaleyThe next morning I was on edge. What we are doing is tricky and anything could go wrong. I am too far along pregnant to easily fight back and that makes me anxious.“Don’t worry love, we are not going far. Mason and I are going to go into the woods and meet up with Alpha Bryce’s warriors. We will be watching you the whole time.”“That doesn’t make me feel any better.”“I know love. The boys and Akila will be with you. Stay near them. Don’t wander away. Promise me?”“I promise Avery.”Avery grabs his bags and we head downstairs. Mason is already downstairs with Akila in his arms. I can tell she is nervous about what is to come. Anyone can make a decision that’ll change the outcome of what we want.“Stay alert. This attack can happen any moment.”“We will Avery. I wont’ leave her side,” says Akila.
Haley “Don’t worry Haley, the pups are fine and our wound is healed. However, Avery and Spartan are going to be furious.” “I know Hazel. But, she doesn’t have a wolf to heal her. I had to.” I hold Akila close to me as our wolves rip into Red Moon. I notice the smell of Red Creek wolves as well, but I don’t relax until I smell the familiar scent of strawberries and honey. The once green grass is stained with red. Axel rubs up against me and Akila, licking Akila’s face. I know he is hoping she’ll wake up, but she doesn’t budge. Axel whimpers as Spartan joins my side. I hug onto Spartan’s head. “Took you long enough,” I try to tease to lighten the mood but my sobs betray me. “I truly was scared they were going to succeed and take us away from you.” Spartan licks my face and then shifts. “Never love. I’m sorry I took so long. Your scent had disappeared.” “That woman over there was a witch. I think she masked our scent.” He looks at the dead witch on the ground. Her neck has been t
HaleyAvery has been wandering around near outside our boarders looking for rogues wanting a home for a few weeks now. He is hoping to recruit more warriors, knowing that wasn’t the last time Alpha Jake would attempt to strike. There are a few feral wolves he has run into and had to put them down. Feral wolves have lost connection to their human and cannot be reasoned with. It’s really sad but hopefully they have found peace. After the whole ordeal of the attack, I learned Amanda was killed after being tortured to get information out of her. I almost feel sorry for her but she endangered my children and they come first before anything. She made her choice and she had to deal with the consequences.I wake to find Avery is not in the room with me. He must be off on more patrols looking for rogues. I stand and immediately bend over, using the nightstand to support myself as a fake contractio
HaleyWhen we arrive at the orphanage the kids squeal in excitement. They always bring a smile to my face. The group has gotten smaller and smaller as we have found homes for more and more kids when we ask our allies if they have any permanent placements. All kids so far have agreed to leave to be with a family that has accepted them. I am happy and sad at the same time. Happy they’ve found a home, sad I don’t get to see them anymore. There are five kids left and each should be in a home within the next two weeks.“How are you all doing today?”They all begin talking over each other and it makes me laugh.“Alright kids, one at a time,” laughs Akila.“Can you do some more magic Akila,” asks one kid.“Yeah please,” says another.“Alright, alright. Who would like to try a dragon fruit?”“What
HaleyNick is mind linking someone as Akila is helping me in the car. Nick has yet to calm down as he tightly grips the wheel and rushes to the the hospital.“Nick, I’d like us all to be alive by the time we reach the hospital.”“Shit, sorry Haley.”He stops driving erratically but doesn’t slow down.“It’s gonna be okay Haley, just breathe. In through the nose and out through the mouth. Or is it the other way around?”“Nick! Shut up or I swear I am going to kick your ass into the next year.”Akila is laughing in the back seat as we pull up to the hospital. Dr. Sully is waiting for me and some nurses help me out of the car.“Luna, when did these contractions start?”“Well I guess since this morning, maybe late last night. I&rsquo
Akila“Luna I need you to calm down and push. We need to get these twins out now.”Haley is hyperventilating as we hear the fighting get closer. Dr. Sully is worried he’s going to have to perform an emergency c-section if Haley doesn’t start pushing. Nick, Ray and Harrison have all shifted and are standing guard in the hallway. I worry they are bring dark witches with them, but I put a protective shield up. This will block anyone from entering this room unless I let them.“Akila, what is going on over there,” asks Avery through the mind link. I can feel Mason listening too.“We can hear fighting outside the hospital. Dr. Sully is prepping for a c-section.”“A c-section? Why?”“She’s panicking Avery. She’s not pushing. Avery can you mind link her?”“I’ve been trying. She&rs
Alpha AveryI have been focused on the fighting outside, I haven’t had a chance to mind link someone for an update on how Haley and the kids are doing. There are so many rogues that their stench is covering the scent of Red Moon wolves, but I know they are here. Mason is just as anxious as I am to get to our mates.A path clears for to finally make our way inside as my warriors deal with the wolves that are outside. I am proud of our hospital staff. This may not be a big hospital since wolves don’t always need a doctor, but for those that are here are either fighting off the enemy trying to push them back or they are protecting patients by blocking doors. I’ll need to get the hospital staff in for training so they are better prepared should this ever happen again, but I don’t plan for this to repeat itself.Mason and I are clearing own path to get to our mates as we kill these
Haley When I wake up I sit up in a panic. I feel the familiar sparks traveling up my arm and see Avery is a sleeping with his head on the bed while holding my hand. I look around the hospital room searching for my babies. I pull my hand out of Avery’s and try to get out of bed. I wince as pain from my stomach spreads throughout my body from my movements. “Easy Haley. You almost died.” “Avery, where are the twins?” I hear a knock on the door and Dr. Sully walks in. “Luna, it’s good to finally see you awake. We were worried about you.” “Where are my children!” I see Akila and Mason behind Dr. Sully, each with one of my kids. I cry at the sight of them and reach my arms out for both of them. I hold them close and kiss each of them. I let out a small laugh between my sobs and Avery kisses my forehead. “Can I feed them?” “We had to give them formula Haley,” says Akila knowing Haley really wanted to breast feed them and we can all see the disappointment in her eyes. “I’m sorry Hal
