ALPHA LUCIUS'S POV

The ornate oak doors of my office swung open with a force that rattled the crystal decanter on my desk. A whirlwind of silver hair and crackling energy filled the room – Nana. My formidable advisor and confidante hadn't just entered; she'd stormed in, her fury a tangible presence in the air.

I wasn't surprised. The memo announcing the coronation festivities must have reached her desk. A faint glimmer of amusement flickered within me, quickly extinguished by the storm brewing before me. No one dared speak to me like that, no one except Nana.
