Ada didn't want to sound ignorant but she wondered how he got around so well without his sight. Vincent led her confidently through the building and then outside. The sun was sitting low in the sky and the air was cool. Ada shyly looked at the people in the pack and she was surprised that they didn't look at her with disgust. The children actually waved at her and were happy, this was a drastic change from her old pack. Everyone in her old pack was cold and treated everyone as a target, you couldn't trust anyone.
Once they were at Vincent house he led her inside and shut the door. The house was large and spacious. The ceiling was tall with a shining chandelier hanging from the ceiling.
“You have a lovely home, Alpha Vincent.”
“Thank you, please call me Vincent there is no need for you to be so formal.” he said and walked her over to the steps. “My mother decorated when I was a boy so I actually know what the place looks like.” he smirked and led her up the winding staircase. Along the walls were many different pictures and at the very top of the stairs was a large picture of a couple she assumed was Vincent's parents
“Are these your parents?”she asked
“Yes, my mother and father were mated and married for almost forty years. They loved each other dearly. They would have been happy to meet you Ada.”
Ada smiled and nodded, “I would have been honored.”
Vincent smiled, “Maybe I could meet your parents one day?” he questioned
Ada stiffened at the mention of her parents, “No.” she said angrily
Vincent froze, “Of course, I had no right asking, my apologies.” he said and let go of her hand.
Ada looked at his hand as he pulled it away and scolded herself she shouldn't have been so abrasive. Grabbing his hand back, “It is not because I don't want you to meet them… It's just that- they have disowned me. I have no parents.” she admitted tearfully. Her heart constricted painfully at saying it out loud.
Vincent's face contorted into one of full rage, “They did what? How could they disown their own child? What are their names? I will punish severely for the pain they are causing you.” he said while stepping closer and wrapping her in his large and warm embrace.
Ada wept quietly and allowed him to comfort her, his embrace didn't solve her problem but for one moment it helped ease her heat ache.
Vincent hugged her tighter and rubbed at her back in soothing circles, “Shh Mate it's okay I am here. And I swear as Alpha of the Blood Moon pack and as your mate I will never abandon you, you will always have a home here.” he swore.
Ada looked up in shock at the Alpha vow he just swore to her. Alpha had the ability to make vows that could not be broken unless they were dead, and he had just promised her that he would always be there for her!
“Thank you Vincent.” she whispered and leaned her face into his chest.

Ada sat in a steaming tub of water thinking about everything that had occurred in this short amount of time and was relieved that she was safe. Who would believe that the weak and useless Omega actually had a soulmate? Even though they would never be able to fully claim each other she felt pleased that he at least wanted to deal with her. In such a short amount of time he showed her more affection than she had ever felt. For the first time she felt safe and comfortable, but the nagging feeling that something was off was lingering in the back of her mind. How would Alpha Cole take that his warriors were embarrassed by another rivalry pack? Not well, she assumed, Alpha Cole would look for a way to get revenge and when he discovered that Ada wasn't dead he would find a way to make sure she died and this time she would suffer. She shuddered at the thought and hoped Alpha Cole would just drop it and forget about her.
Taking a deep breath she submerged herself under the water wetting her hair and then rising and grabbing the shampoo.Taking her time she washed her hair twice and then allowed the water to drain. Once that was done she stood and turned on the showers washing the shampoo and soap from her skin. Stepping out the shower she dried off and whipped the steam from the mirror. One would think she would look like crap but she actually looked well except for the bags under her eyes. The bruises on her back from this morning were gone and her injuries were healed.
Vincent had taken her to a guest room that was located right next to his and said that he would come back to wish her goodnight. Ada was still hesitant about Vincent but he had shown her that he respected her boundaries. Pulling the covers back she hopped in the giant king sized bed and moaned at the cool feeling of the silk sheets against her skin.
A knock sounded at her door, “Come in.” she called and watched as Vincent entered the room. He was wearing a pair of black sleeping pants and nothing on the top! His rippling pecs and abs were drool worthy.
“I just wanted to make sure you were comfortable and that you're okay?” he asked while rubbing at the back of his neck.
“I'm okay and everything is perfect. Thank you.” she smiled at him, Ada wanted to tell him that he was so good looking that her brain felt fuzzy but she held her tongue.
“Well then goodnight Mate.” “Good Night Vincent.” she whispered and watched as he closed the door behind him. She listened until she heard her room door shut. Turning to her Right side she tucked her hands under her head and looked towards the balcony doors that face her a beautiful view of the night sky. The moon looked back at her and she fell into a peaceful slumber. “You will fix her right now.” An enraged voice snapped. “Yes Alpha, I will bandage her up and do my best. It's odd that she is healing so slowly. Even being an omega her healing should have helped the bruising on her rips and her ankle should be close to healed by now.” A delicate voice responded in confusion. “I don't want excuses right now Meg. Do whatever you need to do to heal her. I can't stand my Mate being in pain. I have already failed to protect her. I won't continue to do so.” Vincent said sincerely. “Of course Alpha, since you are her mate your blood should help with the healing process. Please have a seat and we will get the infusion going.” Ada laid motionless on a medical cot the harsh white light showcased all her bruises and injuries.
