Damian opened his eyes and adjusted to the glare of the sunlight coming through the sheer curtains on a Tuesday morning. Samantha watched the waters as waves started to form, rolling smoothly towards the shoreline. He picked up his phone on the dresser and saw messages from Vittoria, informing him that she has to fly overseas for a meeting in three days.
