Everleigh’s Point of View
It felt like someone punched my head when I woke up, but when I realized I was in an unfamiliar room, I quickly stood up. Nervous. But when I noticed Cassy next to me, the nervousness and fear in my chest immediately disappeared.
I looked around the room where we slept. Who brought us here?
I tried to remember what happened to me and Cassy last night but my headache only got worse because I couldn't remember anything except that Cassy and I got drunk because of how much we drank but I couldn't remember how we ended up in this room.
My thoughts were interrupted when I heard Cassy wake up. She also held her head when she got up, maybe she had a headache. My hand also automatically landed on her hair to pull it.
“Ouch!” She complained. She gave me a bad look but that gradually disappeared when she realized we were in another room.
"Where are we?" Cassy asked so I glared at her.
"Ask yourself, Cassy. Because of you we got drunk like this. No more next time!” I said annoyed. She just snorted while massaging her head.
"I'll just take a shower and then we'll go home." I uttered and turned my back on her to go to the bathroom. I was amazed when I entered the bathroom because its design was really rich. I kept thinking about how we got in here and fell asleep here but I couldn't really remember so I just ignored it.
I pee and after that I washed my face then I turned my gaze to the mirror. I'm looking at my face when I noticed that there was something in my neck. My heart beat faster when I realized what it was. Shaking, I raised my hand to touch the one on my neck.
"How did I get this?" My heart was beating fast and I felt like I was going to fall over.
I was convincing myself that it was just a bite of a mosquito but no, it was a bite of a wolf. I slowly sat down on the bathroom floor and fixed my own hair.
"What happened last night?" I asked myself in fear and trembling.
I stopped when I heard a knock on the bathroom door. Afraid that Cassy would know what I discovered, I quickly stood up and straightened myself. I'm so thankful because I have long hair so that I can use it to cover my neck.
I sighed. I badly want to cry and convince myself that I was just dreaming but I know it's very vague.
“Everleigh.” I quickly turned my head back to the door. Even though my heart was beating fast and my head felt like it was going to explode, I tried to be okay in front of Cassy. I know her. She can read even my small movements.
"Are you done? I'm going to poop. My stomach is aching…” She complained so I quickly nodded and passed her to get out of the bathroom but before I could get out of the bathroom she called my name again so my heart beat faster when I looked back at her.
I hope she didn't notice what's on my neck.
"What is it?" I made my voice annoyed so that she won't accuse or think that there's something wrong about me.
"Can you give me some tissues? I saw them on the table beside the bed…” She uttered so I breathed a sigh of relief.
“Fine. I'm just going to knock because your shit might come out." I answered. She glared at me and pushed me out of the bathroom and closed it.
My legs were weak sitting on the bed.
Time passed by, Cassy and I were walking home. My mind is flying and I just want to feed on the ground because of what is happening to me. I don’t know what to feel.
Should I be disgusted with myself because I let someone mark me without my permission? But I was not in my proper state last night. I don't know what happened and the worst is? I don't know who was the one who marked me.
When I entered the house, a cold breeze greeted me. The cold seared my skin, making the hairs on my arms stand up on my neck.
My memory came back to what happened to me last night so I quickly went into the bathroom to look at myself in the mirror again.
I let out another sigh as I looked at my neck with the mark of a wolf.
I caressed it and immediately felt a pain there.
"Aish..." I complained. I put my clothes back on and left the bathroom with a confused and heavy feeling.
Even though I was hungry, I didn't eat because apart from the fact that I didn't buy any food, I had no appetite. I feel like I'm going to throw up when I take a bite of food.
As the time goes by, here I am lying down on my bed, trying to sleep, but there was so much going on in my mind. I'm trying to remember what happened last night but maybe because of my drunkenness I can't remember some of what happened.
I feel like I want to wring my brain just to remember what happened to me last night. I have a strong feeling that I talked to a man last night before everything happened.
"Aishhhh!" I complained and ruffled my own hair. I sat while holding my own hair.
"Should I tell Cassy?" I nervously asked myself. I bit my lower lip as I wondered if I should tell Cassy. I wanted her to know so that she could help me, but my heart and mind were so disagreeing that I didn't want to tell her what happened to me. I don't want her to bother.
I stared at the window of my room and my heart beat so fast when I remembered something.
Those tattoos…
Everleigh’s Point of View"Are you listening, Everleigh?" I looked at Cassy in surprise. I could see the surprise and annoyance in his eyes."Y-Yes..." I immediately answered even though I didn't really understand what he was saying. Two weeks have passed since Cassy and I went to the bar in town. The mark in my neck disappeared but the scar is still there. I can still see that it is a mark from the wolf.I forgot to say that our province isn't a typical province you know. Our province is a place where wolves are living. The wolves that live here in our province are divided into three groups. The royal family where the Alpha, Beta, and their families belong, the Elites where living in the town. They're rich and powerful too while the last group are the Lower Settles where I belong. Cassy belongs to the Elites. We’re both full wolf blooded."Tsk, you're not listening to me Everleigh. What is happening to you? How many days have you been like that?" She said so I stared at her.“Nothing
Everleigh's Point of View"What's happening to you, Everleigh?" I heard Cassy asked me so I looked at her annoyed."Can you leave me alone? I badly want to be alone.” I was annoyed to answer. I saw the surprise in her eyes so it was like cold water was poured on my body because of what I had done to her."I'm sorry for bothering you, Everleigh. I'm just worried about you.” She uttered sadly and turned her back on me. My shoulders slumped as she completely disappeared from my sight."Aishhhh!" I said annoyed. What is happening to me? I'm always irritated these past few days. I'm not like this before.I finished everything I was doing and when it was night I went home. It's like I lifted something heavy because I feel bad. I'll probably just sleep so I will be okay. The next day, as soon as my eyes opened, I quickly stood up and ran into the bathroom. I vomited. My stomach feels like it's spinning. After throwing up I felt like a wilted vegetable.I slowly went to the kitchen and dran
Everleigh's Point of View "K-Keith, let's go..." My hands were shaking and I grabbed Keith's hand to leave but before we could leave a hand stopped me. "Everleigh..." I heard Sage's voice so I looked at him full of anger. I let go of his hand that was holding my arm. "Leave." I said harshly but he didn't move at all. He's just looking at me intently. I can also read begging in his eyes. "Let's talk---" Before he could finish what he had to say, my right hand spontaneously raised to slap him on his right cheek. The sound of my slap echoed. His head tilted because of that but he immediately returned his gaze to me. I looked at him angrily. "Bullshit, Sage! We have nothing to talk about! Just fucking leave and don't ever come back!” I shouted at him. He was about to reach my hands again but Keith held me and suspected that I would enter the house again. Aunt Kris immediately went near us, still carrying the sleeping Bella. I immediately took Bella from her and hugged her tightly. Th
Everleigh's Point of View"Could you just enjoy it for a while? Even just for a few hours, Everleigh…” I heard Cassy complain behind me. I just sighed because she had said those words several times earlier. I could hear it but I chose to be silent."Everleigh, are you listening?!" Her voice was raised so I looked at her lazily. When our eyes met, I immediately read the annoyance in her eyes."I'm busy---" What I was about to say was cut off when she dropped the glass she was holding on the table."You're always saying that, Everleigh! Look at you! You're only twenty but you're working too much!" She exclaimed so I looked at her in disbelief. I laughed sarcastically."Because I don't have money, Cassy. We have different states in life, Cassy and I know you know that. You can hang out and have fun all the time but I'm not because I need to fucking work for my living.” I told her harshly. I immediately saw the passing of conscience in her eyes. She was about to reach me but I turned her
