At Don't Mind Your Husband's club, the ladies continued to gulp one drink after the other.

Mia lunged forward, her hand flailing as she tried to touch Astrid's hair, nearly collapsing into her friend’s shoulder. “You’re strong… If it were me…” She paused, gripping her glass tightly. “I’d already be in jail.”

Astrid sighed, exhaustion and bitterness etched in her expression. “Fuck them all. They’ll pay for this,” she muttered, raising her middle finger in the air.

Mia squinted at the last bottle of Kiss, her shaking hand fumbling as she tried to pour it into the glass. “Where’s… that glass?” she mumbled, blinking hard to focus.

Astrid’s words slurred as she reached for the glass. “My dear friend, this is the fourth bottle you've ordered. Don’t get too drunk, or else we might sleep here.”

Mia shook her head, slurring her words. “D…on’t… worry, dear friend… even if I take ten bottles, I can still get you home. I got your back.”

Astrid grabbed a bottle of Smirnoff, sniffing the air as a tinge of sadness crept into her tone. “I swear I didn't kill Thoren. I don't… even know how I got to his room… I swear I don't even know how the knife got into my hands…”

Mia picked up her glass and handed it to Astrid. “Girl, I believe you. Just take this.”

“I’m taking Smirnoff. Why are you giving me a Kiss?”

“Because you need to vent all your anger.”

Astrid burst into a loud cry. “I was framed! I didn’t kill him! Why didn’t they believe me?”

Mia felt really sad, her heart filled with sorrow as she also burst into tears. “Yeah, why were they so cruel to you? You didn’t deserve it. Those heartless people deserve no mercy, why?”

The people gathered at the club all stopped what they were doing and shifted their attention to the two women. They were curious as to why such beautiful ladies had burst into tears.

“These ladies are beautiful. Why are they crying?” one of them asked.

Another chipped in, “Can’t you see they’re drunk?”

“Tsk, tsk, that’s why I always try my best not to get too drunk. It’s too humiliating,” another murmured.

In a shadowed corner of the club, two men exchanged glances.

“The ladies are finally drunk,” the blond-haired man murmured, his lips curled into a grin. “This is our chance.”

His friend, a grey-haired man with sharp eyes, nodded toward Astrid. “The lady with brown hair is mine. She looks… dumb sexy.”

The blond man’s gaze lingered on Mia, his expression darkening. “I’ll take the one with black hair. She’s got fire,” he said, rising from his seat.

They strolled toward the table, their steps calculating, like a lion figuring how to catch its prey.

They both walked toward the women, who were drowning in their sorrows. Astrid and Mia sat opposite each other, with a table in the middle. The chairs around the table were four, leaving two free seats beside each of them. The two men slid into the chairs beside their preferred targets.

“Hey, young ladies, care if we join you?” The blond man was the first to speak, putting on his best smile while trying to act sexy.

Mia stared at him carefully, trying to study his features. Her vision was blurry, and she couldn’t see him clearly. “We…”

She was about to reply when Astrid’s voice cut through. “We don’t… mind, handsome…” she said with a smile.

Mia’s eyes widened in slow motion, surprised, her gaze fixed. “Great, my friend is gonna get a boyfriend.”

The men blinked at each other. These women weren’t as difficult to approach as they thought they would be. Maybe it was because they were drunk.

The grey-haired man smiled at Astrid and said, “Girl, you are the most beautiful woman I have ever seen.”

Hearing his words, Astrid nodded in agreement. She thumped her chest with a sloppy hand, her eyes unfocused, as if trying to confirm something. “My mother knows I’m beautiful…”

Mia nodded her head. “My baby girl is the most beautiful girl I’ve ever seen.” She smiled mischievously. “I can see you’re interested in her, right?”

The grey-haired man shouted excitedly, “Yeah! Who doesn’t want a beautiful lady?”

Mia nodded, her reaction slow. “You are right.” She held the man’s hands and said in a serious tone, “If you can make my friend happy… you’ll be instantly rich.”

When the men heard her words, the blond man leaned toward the grey-haired man and whispered into his ear, “We’ve caught big shots.”

The blond-haired man said in a calculative tone, “Beautiful ladies are not supposed to stay at a club for long. Let me drive you both home.”

“Alright, handsome.” Astrid staggered up, wrapping her arms around the blond’s neck and flashing a tipsy smile. “Alright, handsome.”

---

Krax stepped out of the black car, his coat fluttering slightly in the evening air. Josh quickly joined him, noticing the tension building in his boss.

Krax’s eyes fixed on the club’s neon sign, ‘Don’t Mind Your Wife.’ His jaw tightened, and a cold look flashed across his face. “This place shouldn’t be here,” he said under his breath.

Josh frowned, glancing at the busy entrance. “What do you mean, boss? Did something happen here?”

Krax didn’t respond. He walked toward the door, his anger simmering just below the surface.

There was Astrid, leaning heavily on a stranger, her arms draped over his shoulders. Her unsteady movements and flushed face made it clear she’d had too much to drink.

Josh noticed it too, his eyes widening. “Boss… is that—”

Krax’s jaw tightened, his voice low and sharp. “She’s pushing her luck,” he said, striding toward her without hesitation.

When he arrived, his gaze locked onto the drunken woman, barely conscious, before shifting to the man gripping Astrid’s waist. His fist clenched, fury rising inside him.

Only he has the right to touch her. How dare this man lay his hands on her?
