I knew that the only time my dad would ask me to visit him was when he had something to scold me about.

I was sure he had seen the news as well, and that was the only reason he'd ask to see me.

Still, I couldn't deny him the right to see me.

I drove into the compound and parked safely at the parking lot. I walked out of the car and stood beside it.

I breathed out heavily, with my eyes tightly shot. I was ready for whatever he had in the stall for me.

I walked into the sitting room and met my dad, walking down the stares already.

"You're here," he said.

His voice sounded neutral. He was neither shocked nor pleased.

He came to me and I noticed the firece glare in his eyes. He pulled out his phone and pointed it to my face.

There was a picture of Beverly hugging me, and another picture of her waking into the house, then the picture of Sally leaving.

I sighed.

I was aware that it was the reason he called me. I wasn't surprised because I saw it coming.
