I was seated in my room as different thoughts ran through my mind. I could hear my baby crying in his bed, but I pretended that I couldn't hear it. I didn't want the baby to pause my plans. My mom walked out of her room and into mine. She stared at me for a while and shook her head before walking towards the baby. She picked up the baby and walked away. I rolled my eyes after she left. This had been the routine since I came back from the hospital.

My mom had been the one taking care of the baby. I didn't care about the baby. I barely even fed him. I could still hear him crying from my mom's room, but I didn't care.

I was thinking of how to get Sally out of Alex's life so that I could have him all to myself since James had refused to work with me. I knew I couldn't do it alone. I needed someone to work with me on this.
