Amelia sat on the bed, her body wracked with sobs as Andrew's hurtful words echoed in her mind.

She hated everything at that moment. Her dad, herself, everything. She couldn't help but regret the day she gave herself to Andrew.

"I would have just let you go to jail, dad," she muttered to herself. "Than marry me off to Andrew." She cried harder, feeling like her life was in shambles.

"This alone is worse than prison," she said, her voice shaking with emotion. A part of her still felt something for Andrew, but the pain and betrayal were too much to bear.

"He enjoyed hurting me, making me suffer," she realized with a heavy heart. "I deserve more than this, but there's no way out of this marriage."
