Chapter 87

Amelia didn't say a word to Andrew as he drove them to the hospital, the tension between them palpable. She simply turned her face away, looking out the window as the world outside blurred past her.

Before she knew it, they had arrived at the hospital, and Andrew pulled over. He got out of the car and Amelia followed behind him, still not saying anything. As they walked towards the entrance, Amelia's heart was pounding in her chest.

Tony spotted them and walked over. "Boss," he said, "the doctor just told me not quite long that she's stable now."

Andrew nodded, relieved. "Thanks," he said, before walking up to the front desk.

"I'm here for Nanny Grace," he told the nurse there.

The nurse looked up at him and smiled. "Mr Reynolds," she said, "please follow me."

Andrew looked back at Amelia as she walked behind him, her expression unreadable.

The nurse directed Andrew and Amelia into Nanny Grace's ward and opened the door for them.

"Here ma'am, here sir." She said as they walked in.
